hi all

how you all diddling?

sfx, that's exactly what my dd does, too. put her in hr own bed, but always ends up in our bed. but as dh is away, actuall;y like having her in bed with me (apart from fact get sod all sleep). ds2 snuck in too, last night, and coughed in my face all night.
when dd woke up and saw him in "her" bed she threw a wobbly. such a restful way to start the day...

but will get rpound to enforcing some sort of routine so she can get herself off to sleep more. it all works out in the end.

kew WAKE UP...dd was going on about seeing ds all the way to the CM.

foxie, glad dd is having a snuggly time at home - the bloody rain!

stepfordwife · 09/10/2007 13:00

..yes, foxie, if that's not AP, what is?

stepfordwife · 09/10/2007 13:26

random thought...
hate the word genre

just thought i'd share..

Paddlechick666 · 09/10/2007 13:51

WTF happened to light rain?

and WTF happened to dd having a 1.5hr nap????

arg!

rosmonster · 09/10/2007 13:55

Paddle, are you still planning on going swimming today or would you like to come over here? Anyone else who's stuck is welcome as well!

lol sfx, I hate those Wiltshire foods adverts, you know with the two old couple having dinner, just really wind me up for some reason!

sfxmum · 09/10/2007 14:04

paddle don't wind yourself up just let it out

ros not sure which ones you mean, but I can't stand those Argos advert with eastenders woman and Spooks man - just how little chemistry can you get? yes you do believe they are about to 'go to bedroom'

steppie i can't stand MOIST it's the word equivalent of nails on blackboard

foxie but they are so expensive besides it says you are not supposed to wee for a ridiculous number of hrs before you test - that's just not possible

stepfordwife · 09/10/2007 14:09

sfx, yes! i hate moist too...but
do like the word gusset (hmm, word association or what..)
because it's so funny

Paddlechick666 · 09/10/2007 14:15

sfx, i've still got a couple of OV predictors which you could have. not sure what the shelf life would be as they'd be coming up 2 years old now.

snack i love that word.

crotch is a word i hate

Paddlechick666 · 09/10/2007 14:16

ps: ros, yep we're deffo going swimming. may still do wagamama for tea on the way home but am going to drive now so will involve paying for parking and it all becomes a bit of an expensive afternoon.

regards teh rain, i am taking a small pleasure in seeing H's new bike rusting out there

Kewcumber · 09/10/2007 14:22

my current favorite word is 'fudge' but I am very partial to 'sybaritic' too and 'serendipity' now I come to think of it.

Necessary is a bad word - too many sibilants

sfxmum · 09/10/2007 14:22

paddle thanks, they have a use by date printed on the box, usually 2-3 yrs I believe
am really hoping I will not need it, a couple more days to disappointment I guess

frosting is a delicious word too rumbustious is just great too

Paddlechick666 · 09/10/2007 14:27

sleep peace quiet liein

they're all words I like too.

serendipitous is quite nice.......

5am mummmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee is my least favourite at present!

rosmonster · 09/10/2007 14:30

hmm, I really like discombobulated - not a word you get chance to use in every day conversation!

Not seen the Argos ones but also don't like the Phones for U ones, there's something creepy about them!

SJ99 · 09/10/2007 14:41

Hello all

Just got caught out in the rain coming back from science museum, what blast, DS loved it though. You were right SFX, it was mad busy. He got completely soaked in the water play area. Me, bad mum, didn't have any spare clothes for him so he had to walk round in just dungarees the bottoms of which were wet too We then accidentally walked into the planes, trains & autombiles section - he was in heaven. He climbed up on one of the car displays and started naming all the parts of a car, he's obsessed. Have just put him in cot, hope he will nap...

LOL at mini SFX story
Ros don't worry about speech (easier said than done), but as others have said they all develop at different rates.

PC sure you won't go to ball? Flip a coin to decide. You'll know if you really want to go or not depending on if it lands on the side you want it to land on!

SJ99 · 09/10/2007 14:43

Oops, I meant LOL at Steppie story.

Ros what's BUB?

rosmonster · 09/10/2007 14:45

Sorry sj, Bringing Up Baby which is on tonight - ever watched it?

SJ99 · 09/10/2007 14:50

Ah, sorry was being thick. I caught the 1st episode but missed last week. I found it quite hard to watch, but somehow it is compulsive viewing. Must remember to watch tonight.

Paddlechick666 · 09/10/2007 14:51

SJ, I am actually gutted about not going as I was really looking forward to it.

my mate definately isn't going and whilst i would probably know a few people there, they will be in their own groups etc and i don't know them well enough to barge in and join them.

just call me cinders eh!

Paddlechick666 · 09/10/2007 14:53

ps: i have laid a major guilt trip on my mate but he ain't budging.

SJ99 · 09/10/2007 14:58

What a bummer, especially when you went to the trouble of getting a new outfit. Your mate owes you a night out

SJ99 · 09/10/2007 15:01

or at least a bunch of flowers!

Paddlechick666 · 09/10/2007 15:06

can't help but have a self pitying "story of my life" moment.

wasn't quite a new outfit but still about £50 spent.

it was only Thursday last week that i really thought I might manage to get to go!

rosmonster · 09/10/2007 15:35

paddle, that's such a shame, is there no way of getting anyone else to go?

sfxmum · 09/10/2007 16:35

oh just punch me now

I wrote to my embassy, the only way to make an appointment to sort out my documents. I was finally granted an audience at the end of October. just realised one of the documents I need, birth cert needs to be within 1yr of issue - run out 31/08

I don't think I can get replacement before appointment due to postal strike and plain slowness of Portuguese bureaucracy am peeved!

Kewcumber · 09/10/2007 16:40

your birth certific ate expires??? Do you not exist when it expires?

paddle if you know some of the people goign cuold you not ring one of tehm patheticlaly and say that you have been stood up and would he/she mind if you came to talk to them ... I know it sounds pathetic but trying to come up with a solution.
