Steppie - I took DS to the plyground nr Mortlake station - he loves it there have you ever taken DD? He loves the walk down as well because he gets to indulge his train-spotter fantasies

If I'd known you were going to be late too I'd have come (tried a couple of mobiles but no answer). Never mind DS got to go on the slide he adores...

Kewcumber · 07/10/2007 14:54

saw those signs Foxie but by then had already spent my pennies at the Chiswick boot sale on all the toy cars in christendom and a few birthday presents for DS (cheapskate mummy).

And anyway we are off out to an intercountry adoption meet in St Margarets if I can wake DS up!

stepfordwife · 07/10/2007 15:00

kew, yes, it's one of our regular haunts - we'll have to meet up there with ds and dd sometime.

particularly fond of that egg-shaped roundabout thing...sooooooo funny when dd gets off and staggers all over the place
it's good for the boys too as basket ball and that big "circuit" round grass for scootering
only thing it lacks is a coffee stall..believe strongly it should be mandatory for parks to cater for parents' caffeine fix.

foxie, sounds interesting. sadly am confined to barracks trying to work. (can you tell?) ds1 gone to a neighbour's huse, ds2 at a party and desperately tried to get dd to nap so i can crack on..fat chance - she's followed me up to the loft and done a big wee all over the floor.
bloody sabotage, i tell you.

sfxmum · 07/10/2007 15:14

hello all

awful cold here, apologies if I managed to pass on germs to anyone yesterday, but at least I got to sleep till 11am again - result

on kids playgrounds coffee places and toilets should be a must. and frankly in this country some sort of shelter should be mandatory

stepfordwife · 07/10/2007 15:47

..and anyone else who wants to come, of course.....
only if you bring me a takeaway cawfee, that is

stepfordwife · 07/10/2007 15:48

..poor you, sfx..hope your cold gets better soon.

SJ99 · 07/10/2007 19:26

Hello how are you all doing?

Thanks so much for the offer of a lift, that might work out better as it should be easy enough to get to Kew from here. What time are you getting to Kew Ros, maybe I could meet you in Kew? I think that's easier than me going to Brentford first.

Hope you feel better soon SFX.

Off to get dinner started now.

MrsRecycle · 07/10/2007 19:52

Lovely to catch up with you all yesterday as well. bunyan - sorry you couldn't make it.

sfx - you dd was adorable - making friends with everyone.

steppie - next time I'll get dd1 to take your dd around and we can chat (that's if ds isn't running off).

I went to see The Nightmare Kid last night at the movies and stayed awake so it must have been a good movie.

Had a lovely day today - went shopping with kids and dh - mind you expensive day - brought a car! Only a cheap run around but at least its cheap to run.

Foxie - glad ds likes the walker - it was invaluable for my ds - I could put him it, get showered/dressed without him wrecking the front room. That's all changed now and my plants are now bare twigs (argh well could blame on Autumn ). I meant to say to you, my ds was like yours at this age (just before 6 months) waking up a lot in the night. So I put him in his cot in his own room (didn't want to!!) and he slept through that night apart from the 2.30am feed. your ds might be the same as my ds, and can't sleep if there are too many distractions (even though we're sleeping!!). Oh - lovely to see you again.

Kewcumber · 07/10/2007 19:55

and MrsR - whats the deal with offereing your single bro to Paddle. Who is not technically single when there is a perfectly good single woman going spare in Kew. Don't tell me he doesn;t like bossy buxom (I have decided thats my prefered euphemism of choice) women - all men do secretly. (that my story and I'm sticking to it)

Oh and I still owe you the money will transfer now.

Kewcumber · 07/10/2007 19:59

OK money sent we need to sort out whether we are buying Kew membership for 2cute. Has anyone spoken to her recently?

Sushi - do you have paypal if so you can just paypal me £10 if not just drop the cash off with me at some point.

If we go for Kew membership Sushi's contribution will bring us within £2 of the amount we need so no-one needs contribute any more.

MrsRecycle · 07/10/2007 20:04

Got it Kew - thanks - you read my mind - I've just checked my balance and thought it needs some injection of cash and voila - there it is! Cheers

My bro's not fussy at the moment - will take anything that's on offer

Kewcumber · 07/10/2007 20:05

that sounds like me MrsR. I'm not fussy either. Does he has a pulse? Is he solvent? Not affluent but solvent is required!

MrsRecycle · 07/10/2007 20:08

He is breathing, but as far as his solvency goes he could do with a good accountant

Kewcumber · 07/10/2007 20:09

OK thats sorted then... show him my profile - if he doesn;t run screaming in the opposite direction then we're a match made in heaven!

MrsRecycle · 07/10/2007 20:13

Just put a topless shot in and he'll be yours forever

Paddlechick666 · 07/10/2007 20:17

ahem!

Paddlechick666 · 07/10/2007 20:27

i'm only technically not single because I can't afford a divorce lawyer!

tried on my outfit for weds and i look rather nice, even tho i do say so myself. the bra almost doesn't show and the bits that do show are nice and with the jewellery etc hopefully not too obvious.

great to see a few of you at kew y'day. sorry couldn't stop and chat but with friends and 3 lively kids between us!

has been a lovely weekend altho exhausting too.

put on a great lunch for 6 adults and 3 kids today then strolled to cambridge park this arvo.

suffered a slight amount of family/father envy. breaks my heart to see dd idolising my male friends and calling one of them Dad. Only because his kids call him Dad but you know what I mean.....

anyways, dd in bed, friends gone and i am finishing off some nice cheese, grapes and wine.

house in major disorder but working from home tomorrow so will sort it out then!

Kewcumber · 07/10/2007 20:40

ah but the devil is in the detail Paddle. Can;t get away form the fact that you are not single... (however much you want to at times!)

sfxmum · 07/10/2007 21:29

this is looking more and more like a village matchmaking and all

thanks for best wishes it's just a cold but am feeling self indulgent and am being indulged 9blessed dh) am not a very good patient.

night night

foxensteinscreature · 07/10/2007 21:46

Hiya

Had a luvvely time at the sale this arvo andth hosts popped round for a glass of wine after so we had a mega catch up

MrsR - IKWYM - DS2 is still in the bed and it must be like trying to get a good nights slee in a restaurant with the constant smel fo your favourite meal on the table in front of you

You must bring your Dc's over on Sat/Sun for a play!

stepfordwife · 07/10/2007 23:35

yes, but foxie, what did you buy?

hey, mrsR..you're on! but my dd is at that lairy, mad 2-year-old stage, so wouldn't inflict chaperone duties on your lovely dd. or would i...

kew and paddle, so unseemly to squabble over a man. and i thought you were laydeeeeeees.
