Mrs R - that sounds fantastic! Its our 4th anniversary this year, I think I'll be lucky to get a meal!

For some reason, ds has started calling farts 'bubbles'. Don't know where he's got that from! Its v funny though to see him wandering around going 'bubbles, bubbles' when he's been particularly windy!

bunyanvillas · 05/10/2007 11:10

Blimmin' heck Mrs R, It's alright for some! I had fishfingers and mash in front of Eastenders, not quite up to your standards!! Bet the Oxo Tower was loads of fun. So, have you a slight headache today?

TheSFXshape · 05/10/2007 11:13

glad you had a good time mrsR

toddler changed her mindso much for my plans

ComeOVeneer · 05/10/2007 11:27

Hi all. Well we have decided to ditch the birthday party so are free to meet at Kew tomorrow afternoon now. DH is taking us to Kingston for an early lunch then I am dropping him off at the station to go to the office for a few hours so will try to meet up with you all about 2ish if you are still there.

Paddlechick666 · 05/10/2007 11:28

mrsR, sounds fabulous! gush away, you've got good reason

sfx, you going to kew later then? might hunt you down if we skip the swimming.

haven't decided yet.

mega shop at tesco £100 . managed to forget 1 or 2 things but will prob manage without. got the wine so that's the most important thing!!!

had a text from 2cute earlier, she's not up to a meet this weekend. am hoping to pop over on my next day off for a visit depending on if she's up to it.

foxie, uber impressed! you've just gone from yummy mummy to alpha mummy!

MrsRecycle · 05/10/2007 11:57

lol at ds Ros! Mine call them pop-offs

I'm actually feeling ok (although a bit tired). I took it easy on the champers front (dd2 calls it champagnain!).

pc - it so easy to spend that sort of money at tesco's isn't it? My boss has told me to take a walk to Tesco's everytime the stress gets to me at work - I dread what a hit my credit card would take - I'd be there every hour . Give 2Cute our love.

Paddlechick666 · 05/10/2007 12:09

yes, we have pop-offs here too accompanied with lots of giggling!

i used to spend over £100 a week in tesco when H was living at home. very very easy but probably also the reason why i was bigger than i am now!

that must be a side benefit to having a rubbish H!

just had the CSA on the phone. i have decided not to pursue a claim as it might affect what he currently gives me. am not sure i have done the right thing tbh.

it's so confusing and stressful. things will be so much more simple when i move. i can make any claims that i might be elligible for like childcare and working tax credits and so on and agree a sum of child support etc.

Kewcumber · 05/10/2007 13:15

nooo don;t skip swimming - I had decided to come! Or how about Chiswick House as an alternative to Kew given the weather is nice or the playground by mortlake station or....

Kewcumber · 05/10/2007 13:15

I watched ALi McGowan last night too sfx - thought it was absolutely mesmerising.

Paddlechick666 · 05/10/2007 13:20

hi kew, dd will be awake in an hour i reckon. when will ds wake?

i suppose i should put the effort in and do the swimming.......

Kewcumber · 05/10/2007 13:23

well he's still awake so it will be at least an hour! Though he has cut right back on his naps so no later than 3pm. He hasn;t been swimming before so I'm really not sure how long he'll last.

Oh and I've left my mobile in work (charging)

Kewcumber · 05/10/2007 13:24

going to get my lunch now - will call you around 2.30 to see what the story is.

rosmonster · 05/10/2007 13:34

Ds is also still awake, guess its the nice weather! Will have to see what time he goes off re swimming as he will still have about 2hrs, might not make it today after all

Paddlechick666 · 05/10/2007 13:48

bugger! dd is awake already

she's only had a blimmin hour tops!

SJ99 · 05/10/2007 14:02

Hiya

Arun not yet had nap, he's routine well out atm, prob going to have to take him for a walk soon to get him to nap, lucky weather is so nice (although was looking forward to having a snooze myself, damn!) Anyway means I won't be able to make this afternoon, sorry.

rosmonster · 05/10/2007 14:05

Seems there's definitely something in the air today isn't there?!

Paddlechick666 · 05/10/2007 14:58

okay, we're going swimming!

need to get out the house and motivate myself.

dd is a proper grump!

SJ99 · 05/10/2007 15:56

Right, DS snoozing in pushchair after lovely walk.

Foxie - am impressed, don't know how you do it

Hi Sushi, glad you had good hols and happy belated b'day to DS!

Mrs R - sounds like you had a great time, were views from OXO as impressive as everyone says?

pop-offs adnbubbles, v. funny. DS did one in the bath the other night and started saying 'look bubbles'

MrsRecycle · 05/10/2007 16:42

yes they were sj - especially at night. I love London at night (but can't stand it during the day!!).

TheSFXshape · 05/10/2007 17:32

hello everyone

I had an eventful day or at least infuriating.

we left late for the pool and waited over 45min for a bus with repeat performance on way back when 3 buses refuses us entry because people where sitting on the reserved space or whatever

so I threw a strop to rival dd and stormed off walking to Kew Gardens to calm down, it would have helped if dd had not kept screaming that she wanted the bus...but hey all was well once we got there

also while at the pool I started talking to this woman all nice etc. kids talk as per usual, she looked vaguely familiar, when I was leaving some woman came up to me and said
' oh it's she off the telly isn't she I really like her' - I have no idea who she is

TheSFXshape · 05/10/2007 17:34

Kewcumber- about that show, some people are revealed as terrible poncy twats and others far nicer than you would imagine.
but it is frequently fascinating

foxensteinscreature · 05/10/2007 17:47

Ooooh sfx - I wonder who she was?

Kew - was expecting you - did you go swimming instead?

Hopefully we may be on for Kew tomorrow - depending on energy levels of us all.

MrsR - I wasn't organised this morning as I thought DD was sick but she turned out to be fine - which sent us all off kilter.

I am a complete control freak who does not appreciate the unexpected!!

Had a grand day at work though and my boss is being a real sweetie. I have smuggled a pile of trashy magazines into the sick room so I can read them while I express milk

stepfordwife · 05/10/2007 17:48

sfx...how infuriating?

wasn't helen baxendale, was it? she's got a dd, ds and think may have a third. just that i've seen her at pools at the park (presume that's where you were) a few times. not that i've actually engaged in conversation with her, like you, friend of the stars!

foxie, lol, yes i still have office . it's the place you rest in after all the nonsense of the school run.
does it feel like you've never been away yet?

bloody homework is bit of a nightmare, isn't it?
to my shame, ds1 started crying the other evening because i snapped at him for not being able to spell "because" or something.
in my defence was also chivvying ds2 through his maths estimating how many bits of dried pasta i had in my hand.
simple enough, except dd kept grabbing pasta, shoving it in her mouth..cue very loud crunching noises!

ho-hum back to work.....
toodlepip

stepfordwife · 05/10/2007 17:50

hmmm, define "trashy" magazines, foxie...
