rosmonster · 04/10/2007 21:09

BOO!

Kewcumber · 04/10/2007 22:03

SFX - bad girl!

Kewcumber · 04/10/2007 22:17

sfx - now you have dragged me into that thread!!!

rosmonster · 04/10/2007 22:36

DOn't listen to her sfx, Kew doesn't need anyone dragging her into threads, she does it all on her own!

stepfordwife · 04/10/2007 22:38

..me, too..

evening all

first things first, have decided i don't need a hallowe'en name change. come on, what's more scary than a stepford wife?

paddle, you will look gorge whatever you wear to the ball (simper, simper)
would LOVE to do swiming and wagamama (dcs' fave) for tea but no can do tomorrow. another time..enjoy!

foxie et al, i am up for a WL christmas drinkie - you know me, any excuse for something chilled and delightful (!)

have been suffering serious office envy this week one glorious meltdown moment had me on the phone to my IT support (dh at work surounded by his no doubt sniggering workmates) raging like a banshee about not being in an office in the city and how my career, conducterd from the loft as it is, is every bit as viable as his (debatable)... blah! blah!
you get the picture

anyhow. what a glorious day today. spent most of it at kew gardens with dd. feel so blessed that can wonder round k.g. whenever we feel like it. (brilliant idea to get a mebership fort 2cute, btw. up for giving a few more squids of needed). those henry moore sculptures are fab, aren't they?
toodlepip

Kewcumber · 04/10/2007 22:40

steppie - you are heckling me on that thread...

lemonaid · 04/10/2007 22:49

Amazing how she dragged you in while innocently watching telly, Kew...

Kewcumber · 04/10/2007 22:51

she's cunning that sfx.

You should look Lemon - its funny.

stepfordwife · 04/10/2007 22:52

oh come now kew, one woman's hecklng is another woman's banter
very interesting about your db, tho...

stepfordwife · 04/10/2007 22:52

heckling even..

Kewcumber · 04/10/2007 22:53

he has some very funny stories Steppie. though the funniest were whilst he was a normal PC or when he became a police trainer.

lemonaid · 04/10/2007 23:08

OK, it is pretty good...

But I predict a backlash tomorrow morning from (generalising horribly) the usual MMC thread-haunters (if they can tear themselves away).

Kewcumber · 04/10/2007 23:11

ooh thats a thought the MMC crew will be awake in teh morning... no matter, live in the moment I say.

And anyway my creative juices are sucked dry and I'm off to bed.

Paddlechick666 · 05/10/2007 08:44

morning all

well, i have a massive shopping list for the weekend of guests i have arriving. so it's off to tesco shortly with dd in tow.

wish me luck!

who's about this arvo then?

am beating a bit of a retreat from swimming as i think the big shop is going to whack me out!

dd's been to kew twice this week already so i really ought to do something different with her - but what?!?!?

foxensteinscreature · 05/10/2007 08:55

Howdy - just whizzing by as am at work. Was manic this morning trying to get 3 under eights to CM - one had been vomiting - one hadn't done his homework - one wouldn't BF. To top it all DH had used the croissants I had bought to give them a quick breakfast.

Then had to get them all off to CM, ties tied, with packed lunches made, school bags in order, homework completed, Xmas orders from school included, with instructions and expressed milk for CM.

DS2 woke me 5 times last night...

Oh my Lordy!! I was only 30 minutes late for work anyway...

I feel as though I have run a marathon

foxensteinscreature · 05/10/2007 08:56

Steppy - hope my post cures your office envy

TheSFXshape · 05/10/2007 09:32

hello good morning

what what what have I done? must take a look at your contributions to the enlighten debate

I am quite fascinated by 'who do you think you are' and switched off laptop as I wanted to read my book too

steppie - the thing with the Henry Moore is that dd insisted on climbing on them 'to see what they feel like' cue much lip pursing and snide remarks from assorted spoilsports

at some point when I get myself together we will leave for swimming pool.

foxie much respect to your herding skillsbad bad dh!

just found out my little cousin is expecting a baby due on my Birthday,(3/02) she left a 10yr gap and it's another girl.
my family seem only to produce girls.
my mother had 2 sisters, one of which had 4 girls and each of them had a girl too.
my nephew being the exception

TheSFXshape · 05/10/2007 09:49

oh KC you out did yourself

bit disappointed 'The Pentavirate' was not mentioned....surely they are involved

rosmonster · 05/10/2007 09:52

Had to go find the thread but haven't posted on it! Tbh, don't think I could top Kew's comments!

rosmonster · 05/10/2007 09:55

I'm off swimming this afternoon, probably around 3.30, if anyone wants to meet up.

SushiMummy · 05/10/2007 09:55

Morning all!

Foxie, how did you manage all that in the short period of time? I struggle each morning to get DS ready for nursery and you have three!!!

QC, my DS's speech progressed suddenly over the holiday, too. He once called me 'mum'!

TheSFXshape · 05/10/2007 09:59

ros I will go early because I hope to fit Kew as well if I can (must remember not to buy perishables at waitrose)

hi Sushi dd calls most women mum and most men dad but I am mummy and dh is daddy, if we are lucky, she often just goes for our first names

MrsRecycle · 05/10/2007 10:02

oh foxie - I don't envy you - I remember my first few weeks back at work were manic - the secret was being organised but I guess I was lucky in that ds always slept through the night. Poor you. You can do it though. Lots of hugs..

kc - mumee definitely sounds like they are talking rather than blabbering mummmmm all day long. dh went to pick ds up this morning and he turned round and said "I want my Mum". And he's only 13 months. Gosh he's going to be a right chatterbox.

Oh ladies sorry I have to gush about yesterday (10th Anniversary) - I had some lovely flowers delivered to work, some wine from my boss but to top it off for our "tin" anniversay dh had organised a big white stretch limo to take us to the Oxo Tower restaurant (and back!). So I was drinking champagne whilst sat in traffic jam on A40. Dds went mad at the limo and want to have a limo party for their birthdays. A truly unforgetable day. [sorry gush over]
