Paddlechick666 · 03/10/2007 16:36

kew, bag sounds great. maybe on friday as ma only staying one night this week ie: tonight.

houseguest has moved out btw!!!

MrsRecycle · 03/10/2007 16:46

Yippee pc - will be cracking open a bottle of champagne in celebration tomorrow night at the posh restaurant in the Oxo Tower. Oh and will also be celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary at the same time!!

I have loads of those bras you can borrow if you want (dh says I never wear them!!)

Paddlechick666 · 03/10/2007 16:55

ooh congrats on the 10 year anniversary and i am most grateful you will force yourself to drink champagne on my behalf!

thanks for bra offer, think i'll have a hunt and see what i can find.

would rather spend on a bra than shoes coz the bra might (hopefully) get more than one outing!

cov, thanks for offer but i can't make it saturday and anything with a heel will probably have me flat on my face.

kew, excellent idea but dresses are both knee length.

TheSFXshape · 03/10/2007 16:57

ok this is a far as I am prepared to go on Halloween names

mrsR congratulations

if we had not been living in sin for all those years we would be approaching out 12th alas...

lemonaid · 03/10/2007 17:22

I probably have some six-and-a-halfish posh black shoes -- will have to carry out a heel audit, though (Since my feet expanded when pregnant with DS and didn't go all the way back down again I've been unable to wear most of my Nice Shoes, so my memory fades rather). Or I definitely have some silver strappy sandles that have about an inch heel, I think.

foxensteinscreature · 03/10/2007 18:30

LOL at the idea of wearing trainers under the posh dress!!!

Paddle I like that bra - go on treat yourself to the bra - you can dance round your house in it now that your houseguest is gone!

DD vomitted on the way back from school, plus I met a drunk who told me about how his wife moved out 'cos he used to beat her !!

foxensteinscreature · 03/10/2007 18:32

I can't do Kensington in Nov BTW - it would mean taking my nips too far from DS's mouth. But you lot go, go on have a good time without me!!

Why don't we start planning a west London Chrissy meal?

foxensteinscreature · 03/10/2007 18:32

...with secret Santa and crackers and stuff - it would be fun

xoxo · 03/10/2007 19:06

boo!

hello all. sorry to be so bad at keeping up: a combination of holiday, new job, sick inlaws and life.

I can't meet on Saturday (thanks for letting me know Ele!) as I have a hospital run (not ours!)but would be keen to meet up and catch up over a glass or two one evening....

what's arranged?

and more than that - what have I missed? (noting that I am going out in 15 mins so can't stay on long, torn between catch up and much needed night out...)

Kewcumber · 03/10/2007 20:02

Foxie - I wasn't suggesting South ken thing instead of west london meet - just saying that I can't do two and thought it might be nice to do the south ken one for a change (for me!).

If we are going to do a west london Xmas thing I need to know asap as I am already asking mum to babysit for MN big do n First plus Xmas work do (date undecided).

Is anyone around between Xmas and New year? Our office shuts so I have that week off.

rosmerta · 03/10/2007 20:38

I'm happy to do a meet before xmas but am going up to my parents for xmas, probably back on the Friday

foxensteinscreature · 03/10/2007 20:56

oxo hi - scuse typos - chubber on my knee - r u around on 13 oct - we have a girls night in at cov's new fabby kitchen.

kew - i have that week off too. we normally just go to west country for family do on christmas day/maybe boxing dat too, but will be around the rest of the time

i think it wld be nice to do an xmas wl do - is everyone going to big mn do, or is anyone up for a wl night out??

rosmerta · 03/10/2007 21:06

Hi oxo, nice to see you again!

Foxie, I can't make the big mn night now so am up for a wl do instead! Perhaps we should start another thread for it?

Ds has been much happier today, finally able to get out of the house to enjoy a bit of sunshine . He had a great time in the park running around with a little friend of his!

foxensteinscreature · 03/10/2007 22:28

Rose - good woman! anyone else up for a WL girls night out for Christmas?

eleusis · 04/10/2007 07:53

Hi oxo!

Yes, we much catch up over glass(es) of wine. Any ideas when/where? Fri/Sat best for me.

How's the new job?

xoxo · 04/10/2007 09:04

HI again.
Foxy: sorry can't do sat 13th as every weekend is now with ill inlaws helping out (actually not as bad as it sounds). happy to do weekday night? (Ele?)

new job is absolutely fab. people are lovely and normal - which you guys will know is so unlike my previous job.
it's taxing my little brain as it's doing stuff I have not doen since university or at least 15 yrs ago but that's no bad thing.
and I have internet access as I work from home: so more mn for me from now on

am working today so will have to shoot off and actually..work!! but wd love to see hoe evryone is doing. even though I haven't been online I have been thinking about you guys.

Paddlechick666 · 04/10/2007 10:12

at the office today so not much MN time!

i'd be up for a WL xmas do but can really only manage a Weds or Thurs I'm afraid.

Mum is already covering quite a bit for me as I have 2 (yes two!) nights out next week and am then on the course end Oct.

anyone know of anywhere in Richmond where I could get that sexy bra? definately can't alter the straps of the black dress as they're integral and too skinny.

am thinking of taking dd swimming tomorrow arvo then Wagamama for her tea, anyone fancy that?

Paddlechick666 · 04/10/2007 10:13

btw, HELLO OXO!

hope the ILS aren't too ill altho with your reference to hospital runs etc it sounds like it could be serious.....

good news on the job too.

apparently my buyer is refusing to exchange until my tenants have moved out so it does rather look like the flat purchase is going to go, well, flat I guess!

TheSFXshape · 04/10/2007 10:41

morning all

hi xoxo -glad job going well. sorry about in laws.
was it you with school problems regarding first choice? was that resolved? sorry can't recall details

paddle - that's almost a social life hey? my guess would be D&J they have fancy lingerie.

Christmas meal great but please not expensive.

Kewcumber · 04/10/2007 10:54

Nice knicker shop (can't remember what its called) in Sheen high st?

Kewcumber · 04/10/2007 10:55

Knockers Uncovered or something like that

Paddlechick666 · 04/10/2007 11:42

going to sneak off early and hit richmond on way home.

friend has re-canted a little but now am still a bit unsure that it will end up looking slutty.

oh wel1........

SushiMummy · 04/10/2007 11:49

Hello everyone!

Paddle, sounds like a great outfit you've got. Sorry no advice from me, I'm more of an M&S girl these days sadly . I actually went no-bra for our friend's wedding a few weeks ago (very thick material dress). As for the bra, what about the naughty shop in Richmond (am too embarrassed to spell the name)?

I feel like a stranger on MN as I've been away so long.

TheSFXshape · 04/10/2007 11:55

hi sushi

how does one look slutty paddle? btw if I went braless I think the effect would be sad old saggy tits

La Perla and posh shop in Knigtsbridge Rigby & Peller are good but hideously expensive

Paddlechick666 · 04/10/2007 11:58

well apparently the garish bra showing will be slutty.

probably a bit like the diamante thong on display being slutty and/or chav.

if i went bra-less it would probably be hideous and i definately can't do expensive!

M&S here I come this arvo I guess!

At the worst I suppose I could try a new dress.....

Blardy sis has the dress that i bought for the last black tie do i went to. In fact she wore it to my wedding then took it back to Aus with her!
