As I'm guessing Des is probably back from holiday now, anyone want to start arranging a new meet up (for old and new).

Ashton Court was suggested.

Do I have any offers

Great! Thanks for your kind wishes. ds is a bit pale and shaky, but otherwise cheerful.

Next Friday is good for me, if everyone's happy.

Sixer · 03/08/2007 10:34

Desi hope DS is better soon. I found a little lemonade works wonders.

Desiderata · 03/08/2007 10:40

Thanks Sixer. I'll got and get some this afternoon

Sixer · 03/08/2007 10:52

where do you park for the Urban Beach?

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 03/08/2007 12:35

Next Friday it is then

ThomasTankEngine · 05/08/2007 20:08

Hello, promise I've not been lurking. Just a bit dense. Thank you for your help Sixer.

I'm up for an urban beach on friday. AT the end of the pier. Have scrolled through and didn't notice a time, though.

Went to Ashton court last week and it was fab. The kids just ran around and got loads of fresh air.

I'm off to the Bristol childrens festival tomorrow. Its on Durdham downs, 11 - 5pm. We went last year and I can really recommend it.

DixiePixie · 08/08/2007 22:49

Hiya folks

So are we still on for Friday? I'm a bit confused about the time too - previous meet-ups that got postponed were set for 2pm, but I see Sixer is suggesting some time between 10 and 2. What time would be best for most of you? (I don't have a strong preferance on time, so am happy to go with the flow)

Shame Armadillo can't make it

How's the little one Desi? Hope he's fighting fit now.

DixiePixie · 09/08/2007 14:52

Anyone?...

Desiderata · 09/08/2007 14:56

Hi, Dixie! Thanks for thinking of ds. Well, he's fast asleep on the living room floor at the moment with a large, inflatable hedgehog on his head.

Anyhow, tomorrow is still fine with me, but I work in the morning, so it would have to be 2pm for me.

Oh, and hi, Thomas! Not at the end of the pier (it ain't that big!) ... just at the end of the decking, by the bar

DixiePixie · 09/08/2007 15:03

Trying to conjure up the mental image - lol. He sounds very lovely .

So we're saying 2pm tomorrow then? Anyone else coming?

Sixer · 09/08/2007 15:43

Can't make it, sorry. Hope you all have a good day.

ThomasTankEngine · 09/08/2007 16:41

We'll be there.
So, 2-ish at the end of the decking by the bar.
See you then.
(I have 3 DSs aged 4 years to 4 months so you should be able to pick us out)

ThomasTankEngine · 09/08/2007 18:59

S orrry you cant come sixer/ hope see you next time.
BFing mucks up typing...

Desiderata · 09/08/2007 20:40

Sorry you can't make it, Sixer.

We'll re-schedule soon.

Thomas - three boys under five? My darling, you have my respect!

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 09/08/2007 20:46

And me!!! Providing DS is ok as his jabs were postponed to today as he had a temperature last week so they didn't want to do it. He had them this am and has been fine all day but getting a bit whingey now so hope he's ok tmw.....

Desi - I bought myself a book on Crotchet stitches today!! How sad is it that I'm so pleased with this??!!!

ThomasTankEngine · 10/08/2007 11:37

So sorry, but we won't be able to come this afternoon.
DS1 vomited 2x this am, and DS1 and DS2 have yucky snot and are very whingey.
I wouldn't like to inflict that on you, or have your children catch anything.
Have a good afternoon. See oyu at next meet up.

Desiderata · 10/08/2007 11:49

So sorry, Thomas. My ds had this last week. If it makes you feel any better, he's fighting fit again now

So, it looks like it's just me, Crook and Dixie.

Are we all still good for this pm?

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 10/08/2007 20:14

Just seen this! lol!!

Thomas - how are your little ones now? Hope they are feeling better?

Had a good time! Was good to meet Desi at last and she didn't poke me in the eye with a crotchet hook!!!

ThomasTankEngine · 10/08/2007 21:23

Glad to hear you had a good time crookshanks.
Boys are feeling much better thank you Desi and crookshanks. What a whingey day though!

Desiderata · 10/08/2007 22:36

Crookshanks is divine, Thomas. We shall have to meet up again soon.

And DixiePixie is also divine. We had a great time (although it took a while to get together!)

I'm glad they're all on the mend.

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 10/08/2007 22:39

Am still roffling when I think of the announcement 'the mnet meet up is in the tent'.....we have been outed!!! I cannot believe that there are so few mnetters in Bristol.....they are in hiding I think.....

Desiderata · 10/08/2007 22:41

Yes, it's probably me

That said, my parents were both from up north, and they always maintained that Bristol was an unfriendly place.

Perhaps it is? But it was lovely to see you today. Really lovely.

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 10/08/2007 22:50

My family are from 'down south' and they think Bristol is unfriendly! lol!!

I think to some extent its getting a bit like London...people keeping themselves to themselves! I personally like people from up North...they say it like it is...no beating around the bush or faffing.....perfect!

Desiderata · 10/08/2007 23:02

Well, that must be why you love me, then

Your little boy is a dish, isn't he?
