As I'm guessing Des is probably back from holiday now, anyone want to start arranging a new meet up (for old and new).

Ashton Court was suggested.

Do I have any offers

Sounds like a plan. I think I know where that is. Anyone got thoughts about date/time? My "social" calendar (pah!) is depressingly empty for the next couple of weeks. The only date I CAN'T do is Thursday 19th.

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 13/07/2007 21:10

So, where in Ashton Court then? Its a big place.....omg....have just realised I have to go over the suspension bridge and I fecking hate that thing...... Can I just sit in Bar Chocolat and wave at you all as you go to Ashton Court??!

DixiePixie · 13/07/2007 21:40

Crookshanks - just get loads of chocolate from Bar Chocolat and "reward" yourself with it once you've got across the bridge

Hi Podmog

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 13/07/2007 21:43

May have to drive...certainly cannot walk over it...I will probably puke! Yes, driving sounds goooooddd!!

Anyway, hows that lovely DD of yours? She was sooooo smiley and cheerful at the IKEA meet up...aww!

Desiderata · 14/07/2007 19:29

Aha! I've been shoved in this direction by the Armadillo.

Ashton Court has a cafe right by the house. You can't miss it. Some of it's indoors, and load of it's outdoors. They also have a picnic area nearby.

Podmog - but of course!

What date are we thinking of?

Desiderata · 14/07/2007 19:31

And Nikki - you don't have to go over the suspension bridge at all

Just check your map and go via Winterstoke Road.

TheArmadillo · 14/07/2007 19:38

what about next week or week after?

can do tues, weds and thurs either week.

Just remembered last time I went to Ashton COurt was with school to dig a pond.

I was 12 and met dp for the first time (he was on the same trip). It was not a favourable impression

lol, armadillo

I can do most afternoons. I suggest we look at the short-range weather forecast to decide whether this week or next week would be best.

I'm sure, for instance, that it's forecast for rain early part of next week.

TheArmadillo · 14/07/2007 19:47

WHat happened to Bobalinga (I think that was her name). Haven't seen her around for ages.

SUnny day would be nice. Ds just needs somewhere to run around during the day (hence the running off all the time at IKEA boy is that child getting fast.)

Well, you know that I have the same, delightful problem! Which is one of the reasons I suggested Ashton Court.

Everyone has name-changed recently, so I haven't a clue about anyone anymore!

Sixer · 14/07/2007 22:41

Can we go in school hols please, after i think off top of barnet 25th july. So begin of August would be fab. Can meet where ever is needed. will pop off and check forecast. oh hello those i haven't met before, hope to meet you soon.

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 15/07/2007 20:50

I'm back to work now so can only do Thurs and Fridays...Winterstoke road...really rings a bell.... so glad no going over bridge!

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 15/07/2007 20:56

Is that the Winterstoke Road near the Cumberland Basin?

TheArmadillo · 15/07/2007 22:41

2nd is a thursday though. WOuld that be good?

OP posts:
Sixer · 15/07/2007 22:45

CrookshanksinJimmyChoos · 15/07/2007 23:07

Yup yup for me too!

Sixer · 15/07/2007 23:13

so that's 3 of us

Sixer · 16/07/2007 12:57

hellloooooo desi, are you coming, it was after all your idea.

DixiePixie · 16/07/2007 23:52

Hello everyone

I'm up for the meet-up too (just need to work out how to get there now!)

DD is fine thanks for asking Crookshanks - still smiley and cheerful! (sorry I'm only responding to that now - wasn't being rude, honest! Just my dh wanted to go on the computer straight after my last post...)

Anyway, 2nd August looks fine to me.

Desiderata · 16/07/2007 23:56

Yes, of course! 2nd August at Ashton Court?

How super.

After 2pm? or 2pm. It doesn't matter to me because I have a toddler, but I know that babies have regimes.

Desiderata · 16/07/2007 23:58

And yes, Niki. You don't have to go over the Suspension Bridge. You just follow the Cumberland basin and keep left for the village of Long Ashton.

DixiePixie · 16/07/2007 23:59

I'm fairly easy as far as time goes. My DD's regime is - erm - "flexible" to say the least .

Desiderata · 17/07/2007 00:02

Well, I'm liking the sound of you, Dixie, because my baby never had a routine either!
