Paddlechick666 · 02/07/2007 09:02

ah! here we are then!

at the risk of repeating myself (lol) is Scandinavia the same as Sweden or have I just made myself look like a completely uneducated arse?

Paddlechick666 · 02/07/2007 09:30

can anyone recommend a good, cheap lawyer - if that's not an oxy-moron........

foxcub · 02/07/2007 10:49

Is it for conveyancing, family law, employment law?

Paddlechick666 · 02/07/2007 11:33

family law foxie, separation agreements/divorce

sfxmum · 02/07/2007 17:41

can this weather get any more miserable?
apparently long term forecast saying no real summer apart from a hot day in July

we terrible terrible sinners

Kewcumber · 02/07/2007 17:43

I'd recommend my mums lawyer Paddle - I'll get the details for you.

Scandinavia = region
Sweden = country within Sacndinavia

you uneducated arse!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scandinavia

Paddlechick666 · 02/07/2007 17:50

yeah but wikipedia says the world's flat y'know!

but, thank you anyway and thank you for confirming my arse status.

lawyer details sound great, ta.

foxcub · 02/07/2007 17:58

why are we terrible sinners?

I haven't even sworn much today!

Kew - hope DS is OK - saw CM earlier and she said he was poorly

sfxmum · 02/07/2007 18:01

was in the paper at weekend some bishop thinks all the floods are punishment for our Gayness of something (funny can't remember that one, maybe it was the drugs)

Paddlechick666 · 02/07/2007 18:02

I ain't no sinner! I'm just an innocent bystander.

Had an interesting convo with a Jehovah's Witness at work on Friday tho.

foxcub · 02/07/2007 18:20

well i am not feeling very gay atm - too knackered

xoxo · 02/07/2007 19:52

Hi Guys
does anyone know of a nanny/ sitter free for Thursday from 9am-4pm? Or 9-1 at a push?
My lovely neighbour has gone back to uni for two weeks to sort out new house, and my nanny is on holiday and dh and I ballsed up the arrangements.

I am fairly desperate but only willing to go with your own recommendations eather than outside weirdos.

Sorry to pop in after big absence with a plea: will make it up to you all very soon with gossip galore

Paddlechick666 · 02/07/2007 19:55

sorry oxo, i'm away to sweden that day so can't help.

can't think of anyone who might be able to either. my CM doesn't do thursdays.

hope you sort something and that you're good tho

Kewcumber · 02/07/2007 20:00

Oxo - my Cm has her hands ful on Thursdays so she's no good.

Foxie he had a bad stomach upset went through two sets of clothes in two hours! No diarrhea since then but won;t drink milk (I tried watering it down) and is defintiely out of sorts. Hopefully will be OK tomorrow. He has had a little to eat and drink but not much.

xoxo · 02/07/2007 20:01

Thanks guys - any one else got suggestions??

SushiMummy · 02/07/2007 20:38

Evening all.

I've been having a bad cold, headaches, muscle pains, sore throat and feeling really tired all the time. I couldn't even be on MN - I was that ill.

We went to Chiswick childplay cafe on Saturday (thanks QC). It was busy but children were better behaved than those in LP/S&L. It was a last minute decision, I would have asked if anyone wanted to join otherwise.

BTW, QC are you going to the Summer Fair at Kew Riverside Primary on 14 July?

Sorry, Oxo, not much help from me, either. I only used a babysitter twice and my DS goes to nursery.

2Cute · 02/07/2007 21:52

Evening all

DS is much better now, just left with a bad cough and slight on/off temperature. I have to say that he has been a complete God send all week, behaving like a model 3 yr old. I should send DH away more often!

Paddle and Mellow - have a fab time on your hols. Hope the weather is better than here!

A belated happy birthday to foxcub1.

xoxo - I wouldn't have minded having your DC but have to do DS's nursery pick up and drop and get my holiday shopping done this week.

QC - How is DS now?

2Cute · 02/07/2007 21:52

get well soon sushi

foxcub · 02/07/2007 22:08

Oxo - sorry I can't think of anyone . I want to offer but I couldn't cope (can barely cope now LOL!)

Sushi - We'll go to Riverside Fair - we went last year as they had a real dalek, plus Canine and we met one of the writers of Dr Who whose kids go to the school

I expect there may be a DR Who theme again (foxie secretly wishes it so)

R U going Q?

Your DS is clever as milk would probably make him more sick. [big hugs] to your cure DS

Well I looked in the toilet pan this evening and saw something very nasty.

A long sand coloured poo which looked half solid (mega TMI alert at this point)...

After several hours of me worrying and asking DCs if they felt OK, DS1 informs me casually that he'd put his ice cream cone down the toilet!!!!

Kewcumber · 02/07/2007 23:06

Yes I know milk might make him feel sick - it depends really whats causing it so I thought it was worth a try. He's obviously ill as he has a temperature and wouldn;t sleep was very fretful. Didn;t get himoff to sleep until 9.30 . Have stipped him down to summer weight sleeping bag and nothing else and am hoping he will feel better tomorrow. I hate it when he's really ill, you just feel so helpless.

On the upside, I continued with your delicious box of chocolates this evening sushi! They are very very yummy I'm so glad I didn;t open them in fornt of the rabble last sunday or else I would have had to have shared them and that wouldn't have been good at all. I reckon I have another 2 nights worth if I eke them out...

Kewcumber · 02/07/2007 23:06

not sure about 14th if not doing anything else and the weather is OK (ha ha ha ha) then may well go along.

lemonaid · 02/07/2007 23:13

14th is (a) my birthday (b) DS's nursery summer fair... but Doctor Who writer... hmm... must check whether my friend's DS does actually go to Riverside or not (as per conversation at QC's).

LOL at ice cream cone...

Paddlechick666 · 03/07/2007 06:35

why was my child awake at 5:30am today?

for all you Dr Who fans: news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6262094.stm

lemonaid, i emailed you a few days back. are you ignoring me LOL.

friend arrives from Aus today, am unreasonably apprehensive about it.......
