Lollipop when the weather is good & school is on is great as its practically empty, otherwise avoid!

Kewcumber · 05/07/2007 13:01

"and in my ase Mothercare cafe in Kew " - should obviously read "case" though my "arse" can also be generally found in Mothercare cafe

sfxmum · 05/07/2007 13:15

hello everyone and big welcome to newbies

am in kew have dd 2yrs old

and am a rubbish housekeeper, dh and I have a high tolerance for mess, dd seems to be going the same way

KC hope ds recovers quickly

well went to pool as per usual once in the changing rooms dd decided she wanted to go back home and started crying

then i noticed a rash all over her torso (small pink dots) i got a couple of things in town then back home

no other symptoms i can see temp only 38.2 and not eating, but am feeling a little anxious

Kewcumber · 05/07/2007 13:20

has she had a cold or anything SFX sounds very like a viral rash. I've had one and so has DS - doesn;t seem to have any major symptoms though. His went within a couple of days.

CodOVeneer · 05/07/2007 13:23

HI all, and welcome newbies. I am just down the road from Kingston in Thames Ditton (with dd (5) and ds(2)).

KC hope ds is making a speedy recvoery. It can be amazing how quickly ab's sometimes work on littlies. When dd has an ear infection she goes from screaming/writhing in pain to fine after 2 doses.

Are you saying I don't fit in the group? I am most offended by that .

Actually dh is beginning to suspect I may have slight OCD tendencies, by the way I deal with the house. Besides cleaning and tidying, things have to be in the correct postion (ornaments turned to a certain angle, all the blinds open to the same level, pictures straight on the wall) otherwise it niggles me and I can't relax 'til I have sorted it . I am a normal person really .

CodOVeneer · 05/07/2007 13:24

sxfmum, dd had the same thing earlier in the year and I panicked and took her to the dr who diagnosed a viral rash just as kc said (I had never heard of it before), and she was right as rain in a day or 2.

Kewcumber · 05/07/2007 13:24

if it all gets too much for you cov you can come over and tidy my place anytime

Kewcumber · 05/07/2007 13:25

is there a story behind the new name?

sfxmum · 05/07/2007 13:26

am sure you are right KC when i see rash i do the press test then worry that i did it all wrong

anyway she seems happy to sing along to Thomas so thats ok

sfxmum · 05/07/2007 13:27

thanks COV is that homage to the fishy one?

are there t-shirts being issued

CodOVeneer · 05/07/2007 13:33

Oops I had forgotten I had changed my name. I was using it yesterday when MNHQ started the "cod" threads. Will change in back in a mo.

rosmerta · 05/07/2007 13:34

Yeah, there's going to be a whole new MN accessories range based on COD!

sfxmum · 05/07/2007 13:37

speaking of merchandise am quite fond of AIBU mug if only they did v-neck T's

lemonaid · 05/07/2007 13:52

Exactly. Feel bad for not buying something but every time I wear a round-neck T-shirt someone asks if I am pregnant so I am not buying any more...

foxcub · 05/07/2007 14:28

Hi 1+1 :O

I have a DD nearly 4 too, so we must get together sometime. Also have DS7 and Ds 4 months.

I am sooo knackered.....

lemonaid · 05/07/2007 14:33

Hahahahaha. QC is posting on that thread now and [ polishes halo ] I'm not.

Where's Eleusis, by the way?

Kewcumber · 05/07/2007 15:06

ah but Lemonaid I was singlehandedly responsible for encourgaing people to bump it to 1000 as soon as possible...

lemonaid · 05/07/2007 15:41

But it's gone on happily past 1000 AFAICS. And now it's there, on your "Threads I'm On" list, calling to you with its inanities, luring you in...

sfxmum · 05/07/2007 16:11

have not checked if stranger danger/ good touch bad touch has kicked off yet

dd deffo not right poor sausage temp higher all snotty and cranky, at least the grandparents have delayed visit till sunday, hopefully she will be better by then and enjoy spending time with them

stepfordwife · 05/07/2007 17:51

welcome one-to-one and gloria
i have ds1, 7, ds2,6, and dd, 2.

with on the (lack of) housework front. am twitching becuase my cleaner didn't show today.

worst of all, though, is my desk. have recently started working from home and dh shot my "working space" an appalled look the oter days:"Was your desk like this at the office?" he asked.
er, yes..and his point is?!

went on my 2nd school trip this week. (shining halo) there were two student teachers who literally looked 15. made me feel even older when one of the little tresaures on the coach told me hair was going white. ho-hum..time to take out a second mortgage for a cut and colour...

hope ds better soon, kew. ABs are usually pretty swift.

big HELLO to everyone else..
toodlepip

lemonaid · 05/07/2007 19:00

Good touch / bad touch very sane and civilised... the loonies are all busy elsewhere [ looks meaningfully at QC ]
