Brand new thread for a new month.

OP posts:
Paddlechick666 · 03/04/2007 12:37

foxie, thanks that's really kind. am hoping dh can bring some supplies over. otherwise Mum will be here about 9ish tomorrow.

should be okay for nappies and can always use washable wipes if needs be.

seriously, i'd put a black cross on the door if i had the paint! i really don't want to pass this on to anyone.

she's just had another 45 mins nap and i dropped off too!

quokka, if you abandon your cat i will have to report you to the authorities thus preventing you from leaving the country!

fine bloody birthday present you're giving me

humph!

suejonez · 03/04/2007 12:38

Quokka - suggest a Thurs/Fri/Sat in May you can make. I'm happy to have takeaway night at my house.

I'm skint so no nights out for me for a month or two as I have Easter weekend in IOW to pay for sister is paying hotel and ferry but inevitably will spend more over the weekend.

suejonez · 03/04/2007 12:39

Quokka how about the family whose DD you look afer sometimes, for the cat?

foxcub · 03/04/2007 12:45

Quokka - no cats for me - just realised I have rather "over-ordered" on the children front !

Sue - takeaway night sounds good

Paddle - is it your birthday today???

suejonez · 03/04/2007 12:46

is it PAddle? Is it? You kept that quiet

suejonez · 03/04/2007 12:47

or how about fajitas night - easy to make, fun everyone can bring something and whatever they want to drink so non-drinker can bring coke/OJ and drinkers can bring gallon buckets of special brew.

foxcub · 03/04/2007 12:50

Sue - does that mean we have to work then?

Paddlechick666 · 03/04/2007 12:56

oops sorry didn't mean to imply my birthday today. it's 2nd June so with Quokka leaving 1st week in June that's what I meant.

Fajita night sounds great. I make nice guacamole - well I think it's nice! And nachos too.

suejonez · 03/04/2007 12:58

no foxie - we can buy it all:

tortillas
avocado
fried onions and peppers (I can cook)
cooked chicken
cooked mince
grated cheese
red beans in chili sauce
sour cream
salad

the only work is that you will have to roll them up!

foxcub · 03/04/2007 12:59

Sue - sounds delicious

Eleusis · 03/04/2007 13:22

Oh yum yum... I love fajitas. When is this shin dig? I'm in I'm in I'm in.... Do I sound like Billy no mates desperate to go out?

Can we do it on a Friday or Saturday so I can join the booze crowd?

suejonez · 03/04/2007 13:25

OK sometime in May to suit Quokka but Fri/Sat preferred to suit Eleusis. PAddle you can stay at mine with DD if you like.

Paddlechick666 · 03/04/2007 13:29

sounds great to me.

dh might even be available to babysit but if not would love to do a sleep over.

anyone good at making salsa otherwise you can buy that as well. and sour cream.

ain't eatin no refried beans tho - had far too much of that on my travels!

suejonez · 03/04/2007 13:38

refried beans optional - was actually think of a tin of kidney beans in chili sauce from TEsco!

ComeOVeneer · 03/04/2007 13:41

my May diary is pretty free, well actually completely free LOL.

quokka · 03/04/2007 13:50

deffo has to be on a Fri or Sat night - just for boozing . We will have to drink Margaritas if eating Mexican! Will check with dh on nights in May.

Have we got a night out planned for April?

I can't believe nobody wants my cat Stitch - she is devastated

Nanou1 · 03/04/2007 13:54

gosh it's hard to keep track! what are we talking about? may farewell dinner ? need to check diary but seeem to remember first and last weekends are busy. allergic to cat too. quokka did you ask neighbour about your cat? could be a new mate for their cat? how did it go when you told them btw? did you find tenants?

Nanou1 · 03/04/2007 13:55

eh paddle. meant to ask about your poor dd? what did she catch?

Nanou1 · 03/04/2007 13:56

would bush bush (in shepherds bush) be too pricey? they do fab cocktails there....

Eleusis · 03/04/2007 14:01

Bush bush? Is that in honour of me evr popular president?

Nanou1 · 03/04/2007 14:05

lol. not his style i reckon! food is delicious there too but on the pricey side for our purses. maybe 1 or 2 or 3 cocktails there and then off to blabla??!! (fab veggie restaurant)

ComeOVeneer · 03/04/2007 14:09

I thought theplan was Sue was hosting? Sorry if I have the wrong end of the stick. Are we still on for a night out on the 12th May Ele? Have we made any more plans for the Mile for Maude btw?

Paddlechick666 · 03/04/2007 14:13
