Brand new thread for a new month.

OP posts:
quokka · 03/04/2007 09:57

Well I was hoping for a summer here so I could enjoy my garden - which has taken me 3yrs to get right. We will come back to an overgrown jungle I expect!

Has anyone got a micralite buggy? Thinking of getting rid of the P&T's since its got such a high resale price.

ComeOVeneer · 03/04/2007 09:57

Morning all. Hope everyone suffering with bugs etc are on the mend.

We were going to go to Bushy Park today for a walk and take a picnic, but it is nowhere near as nice as yesterday.

I am probably avaliable for Thursday. I really must invest in an annual pass as it is getting to be rather expensive.

quokka · 03/04/2007 09:58

cov if you come om Thurs I have guest passes

Nanou1 · 03/04/2007 10:00

morning all.
just found this thread too. thanks for sat; was nice to see you guys again but missed you lots foxie. took us 1.30hrs to get home by public transport....
hope you are better foxie. quokka . you excited? bye for now; got to watch my back these days!!! have a good day all and yes let's meet up and try a farewell dinner for quokka maybe?!

ComeOVeneer · 03/04/2007 10:00

OK count me in (weather permitting). Are you renting your house out whilst you are away Quokka? How long is it you are going for again?

ComeOVeneer · 03/04/2007 10:01

Nanou lovely to see you too and finally have a deceny chat. Were you late for your guest on Sat night then?

suejonez · 03/04/2007 10:03

Nanou - DH should have left the carseat

ComeOVeneer · 03/04/2007 10:05

decent

quokka · 03/04/2007 10:08

yeah we are renting. Dh's contract is for 3yrs and we can only stay for 5yrs witht he visa he's getting.

Hi nanou!

suejonez · 03/04/2007 10:09

Cov - if you go for the cheapie friend pass just for you with no guest passes it is really quite reasonable £37 and £5 off if you pay by DD

foxcub · 03/04/2007 10:19

Nanou - I missed you too we must get together soon.

2cute - sorry to hear you've been ill too - there are so many bugs going round aren't there?

Quokka- you must be so excited - when are you going to do your rekky of the house? (or did I miss that? [blush}

Paddle - is your DH staying over now then?

Sue - saw your DS again this morning and he defo flirted with me!

Ele - glad the salmon didn't go to waste

MrsR - the feeding is very slowly improving. Can now acheive a decent latch but at the expense of my back atm . Right nip is good, left still sore...so we're halfway there - but have been feeding him for nearly a month now so that's good I just love the "symbiosis" [pretentious emoticon] of BF, where you "fill up" just at the time a feed is due, then he wakes and cries, you get a klet down and then baby empties the milk and you feel relief of the pressure in there. Does that makes sense? Nature is a wonderful thing.

How come animals don't get sore boobs then?

Its freezing today isn't it? Have just put heating on

suejonez · 03/04/2007 10:33

foxie - how do you know that animals don;t get sore boobs? Glad to hear things are slowly improving - I admire you for hanging in there.

DS slept all night so he should be in a better mood today, so no doubt he is back on top flirting form. He is hilarious with CM's daughter - noticeably flirts with her, all but flutters his eyelashes!

foxcub · 03/04/2007 10:34

Sue

Paddlechick666 · 03/04/2007 10:41

between the vomit and the squits i'm going to run out of comfy clothes for dd soon. and i did 4 loads of washing yesterday!

poor thing. she's cwtshed up on her sofa covered in a blanket now.

foxie, dh stayed all last week, went back to his mums' saturday and came back sunday. he was going out last night after work (9pm lottery draw) but came back to help with dd.

not sure what he's going to do tonight yet...

glad to hear you're feeling better. i loved bf and occasionally miss it especially when i see other people feeding their LOs.

seems like ages since i've seen anyone!

she's crying again so best go....

Paddlechick666 · 03/04/2007 10:51

never mind the clothes, i'm going to run out of nappies, nappy bags and wipes at this rate!

Eleusis · 03/04/2007 10:56

Sue, my mum says grandchildren and your reward for not killing your children.

ComeOVeneer · 03/04/2007 11:03

Oh paddle, poor little mite . Hope she feels better really soon. We have abandoned the idea of a picnic as it is starting to drizzle. The children have built a tent in the playroom and are currently watching Charlie and the chocolate factory. Will have to go out with them this afternoon or they will start climbing the walls (or in ds's case probably drawing all over them)

Paddlechick666 · 03/04/2007 11:06

thanks COV, i just hope that this stage is the final bit of the bug coming out.

am having to eat secretly in the kitchen as i feel so guilty eating in front of her - not that she's really wanting anything.

she's not even drinking much anymore.

your playroom sounds great!

quokka · 03/04/2007 12:10

she'll be bouncing off the walls and falling over before you know it PC

Dh has got managed to get more money from new job and is handing in his resignation tomorrow - I can't believ it. Srry if you guys are getting bored of this

foxcub · 03/04/2007 12:12

Paddle - do you want me to get you anything and run it down to you?

text me if you do as I don't have to pick DS up until 6.30pm.

poor you

quokka · 03/04/2007 12:25

Oh shit - would anyone like a cat?

ComeOVeneer · 03/04/2007 12:28

We already have 2 cats so can't help I'm afraid.

quokka · 03/04/2007 12:30

another one wont be any bother then

suejonez · 03/04/2007 12:35

2 cat woman here too. My two would move out if i presented them with another creature after inflicting DS on them so recently!

Eleusis · 03/04/2007 12:36

No cats for me. I'm allergic.
