suejonez · 23/04/2007 22:21

the playgoup at CP house for those who were interested only in the week

suejonez · 23/04/2007 22:22

its Dandelions - scroll down...

suejonez · 23/04/2007 22:22

had to have dry toast and jam with cheese and dates!

Must put oven chips on list...

MrsRecycle · 24/04/2007 08:12

Foxie - its not hard work - I love it. You should try having 6 kids, running the London Marathon the day after your 40th Birthday and moving house 3 days before. My friends just done it and still looks 21. Talking of kids must do their lunches. Will check back later.

Paddlechick666 · 24/04/2007 08:17

morning all

sorry about the ice-cream Sue, it's still intact! out all day today collecting friend from airport but you're welcome to come get it tomorrow or this eve....

Foxie, I can't afford Ham can we all move to Hounslow?

Quokka, thank you so much!

how long d'you reckon it'll take to get to Heathrow T3?

quokka · 24/04/2007 08:32

enjoy them pc.

Mrsr was going to ask how df got on? Can she still walk, am I going to have to give her all the money I donated?

Paddlechick666 · 24/04/2007 08:35

MrsR, I reckon your friend is super woman and well done her! Mind you, I think she still looks 21 because her body has simply forgotten to age because she's so busy doing other stuff LOL!

quokka · 24/04/2007 08:43

oohh I'm getting excited about Fri, and having 4 days kid free for the first time ever! Sorry I shouldn't brag but I can't help it. The down side is that rent in a 4 bedroom place has gone up a $1500 in the last 2 months .

pudding77 · 24/04/2007 08:53

Morning all, how is everyone?

I've found my new favourite shop in Ealing - it's called Loop and is good quality second hand kids stuff which they will buy from you! Quokka, thought about you in case you've still got loads of stuff you don't want to take to S'pore! Btw, am going to email you about the highchair!

Sfx - know what you mean about the sibling thing, my dh has 2 sisters and they are now v close, on the other hand I have an older brother but because he is quite a bit older I was pretty much an only child iyswim, but hopefully I'm not horrible !

Foxie - is it worth talking to a IFA about your options?

2Cute · 24/04/2007 09:58

Morning everyone Sorry, been absent for a while...2cute skim reads last few posts....

OK - Mellow the nursery I was horrified by was Teddies in Twickenham. I can't recommend any nurseries good for a 12 month old, only 2 yrs +

Paddle - I'm in Central Whitton. I love this part of Whitton as houses are big, people are lovely and one of the top 10 schools in Richmond borough is a street away. Most of the houses are 4 bed though so prices are around £525k - £540k. Some parts of Whitton are a bit rough and the property prices reflect that. Having said that, I grew up in Hounslow and I turned out fairly normal!! Can I ask what your budget is? Hounslow/Isleworth border is a nice part of Hounslow. It's greener than surrounding areas. The roads that come to mind are Central Avenue, Ellerdine Road/Park Avenue. You could get a 3 bed semi for around £270k

I strongly advise against Hanworth and Feltham.

Is any around today? Fancy popping over for tea, cake and kids play? I don't feel adventurous enough to get out today.

stepfordwife · 24/04/2007 10:03

morning, all..

got shedloads of work to do this week so i am NOT going on MN, ALL RIGHT...

but, foxie, you've baited me on purpopse, haven't you?...i DID tell you 3 kids was much harder work, but also, like mrsR says, great fun, too. i work on the principle that it gets a bit scary when they outnumber the adults....it's actually making sure (or trying to)that they all get enough emotional one-to-one attention that i find the "challenge." and, no, please don't move out of kew..

sue..dh and your mum had a chat the other day as both trying to shoehorn cars into the parking nightmare that is our road...

quokka - 4 child-free days. enjoy!?

next door is having their roof repaired which is a tad noisy in my (aspiring to be) manahattan-style loft space..mind you, with my current levels of concentration at crisis point, a gnat's fart in the amazon would distract me at the mo...
have a good day. toodlepip

Paddlechick666 · 24/04/2007 10:08

c'mon! someone tell me how long it'll take to get to heathrow T3?!?!?

flight is due in at 11:16 so it's already a few mins late.

am thinking leave about 10:20ish and hopefully i should be parking as they land....

i always end up getting there too early but i think it's lovely having someone waiting at arrivals for you rather than you coming thru then kicking around waiting for your ride.

taking dd in the sling, bit nervous but not sure if friend has buggy plus luggage etc.

Paddlechick666 · 24/04/2007 10:08

ps: 2cute, my budget is 2 pints of lager and a packet of crips

high rise single mother hell is my only prospect i think....

mellow2 · 24/04/2007 10:19

Hi 2cute,
Thanks for letting me know about Teddies in Twickenham.

I'm too knackered to go anywhere that's not walking distance otherwise I would pop over this pm.

Puds,
We would like to pop over this pm. What time would suit you? I'll have to arrange it around dd's bedtime.

OP posts:
mellow2 · 24/04/2007 10:22

It would probably take 30 mins for you to get to T3. I would go about 30 mins before the plane arrives as your friend would probably take half an hour to get through immigrations.

OP posts:
MrsRecycle · 24/04/2007 10:24

Quokka- just spoke to df - she did it in 6 hours and isn't in too much pain. Have a lovely childfree weekend am so envious of you.

pc - it normally takes me 15 minutes to get to T3 but I am that bit closer.

Foxie - I could have another one tomorrow if medically possible. It does get better once they start sleeping through the night. The most stress I've had these past few weeks was when the sacked AuPair kept on being ill and I was having to look after 4 kids.

I spoke to the paed on Friday night (he finally rang me) and there is a problem with too much salt in ds' blood. This can occur when they are growing but, as he was fitting as well, the paed wants to investigate it further and was meant to ring me yesterday to arrange for him to come in. But still haven't heard anything so I guess it's not too urgent. The worrying thing is that the paed spoke to me personally. I'm sure he'll be okay. Sue - how did ds do at his check-up?

suejonez · 24/04/2007 10:27

Stepford - she told me, said he told her off for taking up two parking spaces . Actually she was on her way out again so it didn't matter and she did say he was nice. He seemed a bit startled that the tentacles of MN had reached out to him , though she did get yo uconfused with COv and accused you of being a dentist.

suejonez · 24/04/2007 10:28

I allow 40 mins off peak Paddle.

suejonez · 24/04/2007 10:30

he was a star MrsR thread here

pudding77 · 24/04/2007 10:43

Mellow, how about 3-ish? I have another friend and her dd coming over around then as well. Anyone else fancy joining us?

foxcub · 24/04/2007 10:43

have you left yet paddle?

Stepford I might come and rent your loft then

I'm out of circulation this arvo now as DS2 has a stinky naval and need to get it inspected by GP

mellow2 · 24/04/2007 10:45

new thread as this one is going to keel over very soon

OP posts:
pudding77 · 24/04/2007 10:48

But we do have to fill this one up first

mellow2 · 24/04/2007 10:50

Foxie,
I know what you mean about wanting to change your life when you have a baby.

I've always wanted to work for myself. I've finally taken the plunge to open an online biz now that we have dd.

OP posts:
stepfordwife · 24/04/2007 11:01

sue - yep, think dh was laying it on thick about having lots of shopping/dd to unload. he said she was very nice, too.how often does she look after ds?
no probs about mistaken ID...always a joy to be mistaken for someone brainy..

foxie..hope ds2 ok..oohhh, yes please, do come and work in my loft with me..talking of which....
