suejonez · 01/04/2007 08:57

thats very organised of you mellow!

Paddlechick666 · 01/04/2007 09:13

mrsb'll be after you!

morning all.

nopudstilleaster · 01/04/2007 09:13

Seems Mellow is taking over from MrsBigD!

Paddlechick666 · 01/04/2007 09:15

we've got a robin's nest in the kitchen vent.

so cute seeing them flitting in and out!

nopudstilleaster · 01/04/2007 09:35

Hi paddle, how did the course go?

Paddlechick666 · 01/04/2007 09:57

Hi pud, it went quite well. bluddy hard tho!

am scheduled to sit the exam 28th April and still have a lot of work to do. it's 225 questions in a 6 hour time frame.

how're you? on the mend I hope. did ds ever get the chickenpox in the end?

nopudstilleaster · 01/04/2007 10:53

It's like being back at school isn't it!

Am feeling better thanks, ds never did get chicken pox in the end!

Got any plans for today? We're hoping to catch up with a friend who has a ds the same age as our ds but we never see them!

Paddlechick666 · 01/04/2007 11:29

lol, i reckon school was more tolerant. our instructor was a greek guy who brooked NO nonsense LOL. actually he was great but seriously no sense of humour.

dh went back to his mum's yesterday but is on his way back down today so we were planning an afternoon out.

plans have changed a little now tho. i'll have to hoof it back to tesco when he arrives then we'll just have a stroll up the river and hope dd snoozes and feels better.

sfxmum · 01/04/2007 12:29

paddle hope dd feels better

puds did not realize you were unwell sorry glad to hear you are on the mend

foxie did DT manage to cheer you up last night?,hugs to you

very proud of self for having gone jogging two days in a row, would really like to go everyday this week even if really short ones, dh took dd out on the bike or 'lets chase mum on the bike' as it is called in our house but diverted to the playground when they got bored of my huffing and puffing

suejonez · 01/04/2007 14:14

been to Kew with my mum - there's a lovely little petting zoo there with two very cute miniature shetland ponies and tiny fluffy baby chicks - highly recommend it.

Having woken about 4 times in the night (no idea why) DS is now asleep after the excitement of kew.

foxcub · 01/04/2007 14:35

Hi everyone

ele - really sorry I didn't make it yesterday 'specially after you went to all that trouble for my diet You heard my car got vandalised (worse thing was I heard it happen at 2am - gang of drunks) - spent all day on phone tryiong to get a new windscreen.

mellow - will try and call you when Monti lets me....

sue - Rikki's just taken DS1 and DD to Kew

paddle - did you do the mediation with DH the other day? just remembered about it..

Paddlechick666 · 01/04/2007 16:48

afternoon all

the vomiting continues. had hoped she'd have stopped by now. she's not bringing anythign up anymore.

i put her in my wrap tho and we walked up to Richmond. had to wade thru knee high water at one point so I've had shoes and socks off for the first time this year.

she hasn't slept all day, hasn't eaten anything since breakfast and isn't even keeping water down.

any advice?

foxie, nightmare about the car. what a bunch of tossers! makes me so .

mediation went very well, thanks for asking. will tell you about it when see you next.

kew sounds great, how about a visit on tuesday people?

foxcub · 01/04/2007 18:42

Paddle - poor DD - watch that she doesn't get dehydrated. Do you have any dyralite (sp)?

I'm around on Tuesday but my life is dominated by feeds/how much sleep I've managed to get atm.

Had all these plans for today (involving you, Sue) but had to sleep to catch up on last night.

Dh took kids to Kew and they had a fab time

hana · 01/04/2007 18:46

I don't do any meetups, but we were at Kew this mornign as wel....wonder how many mnetters were there??!!??

nopudstilleaster · 01/04/2007 18:53

Paddle, when ds was being sick like this the dr suggested dry food and sips of water, things like milk & yogurts seemed to make him worse so stayed away from them for a while. Hope she sleeps tonight and feels better tomorrow.

suejonez · 01/04/2007 19:28

it was such a lovely day and the animals were so cute (very windy though). DS is beginning to get the hang of this walking lark. Still only a few steps but is doing it pretty regularly now

So sorry to hear about DD Paddle, I'm so glad I haven;t had to deal with DS being ill in the first few months with him - at least I have learnt to be a mum under reasonably normal circumstances (If you ignore the time in KAz!)

Sorry to miss your call Foxie - as you surmised I was in Kew.

suejonez · 01/04/2007 19:29

isn;t BRAT recommended for D&V? Bread, R, Apples and T will just go off and look up the R &T!

Paddlechick666 · 01/04/2007 19:29

evening all, well she's flaked out on her little pull out sofa in her grobag and pjs after some more pretty violent vomiting.

i feel so bad for her poor thing.

haven't got any dyralite in the house but CM just gave me some great advice so feeling a bit less worried.

will take her to dr in morning if she's still being sick.

she's had some water but it comes straight back

Paddlechick666 · 01/04/2007 19:30

thanks for all the well wishes and advice. there's no D just V.

so glad dh is here - he's been a star again!

suejonez · 01/04/2007 19:31

diaoraltyte won;t work if she's not keepng water down. I have some at home if you need it.

mellow2 · 01/04/2007 21:21

Erm, definitely not trying to usurp MrsBigD's position as leader .

Foxie,
That's unfortunate about the windscreen . You certainly don't need more stuff to worry about now. Call me whenever you can find time.

PC,
Sorry to hear about little paddle's illness. Hope she's better soon.

OP posts:
Paddlechick666 · 02/04/2007 07:13

okay, little paddle hasn't been sick since about 6pm.

she slept pretty well till about 3am and then had a raging thirst! spent an hour allowing her to drink in small amounts - interspersed with her screaming for more!

she woke at 6am and I got up and dressed her etc. she's now back asleep in the bed with dh!

do i take her to CM or not? I'm thinking maybe take her about 9ish after she's had more of a sleep and some brekkie.

btw, she's bright as a button this morning!

suejonez · 02/04/2007 09:29

children are so resilient aren;t they. Daniel was up about 3 times in the night for the last few nights - in the morning he however is as chipper as anything whilst I look like something the cat wouldn;t even bother to drag in.

Glad she's feeling better though.

If we do a meet up after your exam, would you prefer to do it that weekend or the first weekend in May? I'll set up at a "Suejonez At Home" thread...

sfxmum · 02/04/2007 09:43

morning all

paddle glad dd is feeling better, despite being upsetting it is a pretty efficient way for the body to get rid of nasties

foxie - that is awfulcomplete bastards

dd had been coughing lately but nothing major, just wakes me me, she has also been talking in her sleep, rather a lot, so again not much sleep for mummy.

hope you are all ok, off to boogie tots then Kew i think, gorgeous weather

Paddlechick666 · 02/04/2007 09:59

well, i just dropped her off and she seems fine.

really should be doing some work now but got so much laundry etc to catch up on!

she's running a bit hot this morning which i think is more the other molar coming thru as she didn't have any sort of temp yesterday.

sue, my exam's 28th April which is a Saturday and dd's got a party invite for 29th so that's not an ideal weekend tbh.
