Hi,

Got this started 'cos I think the other thread is going to run out before the end of tomorrow.

What post are people ignoring heypickme? have you asked if there are more local mums in your area?

Oh and bear in mind that the daytime meets revolve around under 5's which you may feel you're past! On the other hand, should make the babysitting for the nights out easier.

nopudstilleaster · 17/03/2007 20:06

well, I thought we'd draw them in seeming to be all friendly & then introduce the initiation ceremony the first time they come out , much more subtle I think!

nopudstilleaster · 17/03/2007 20:08

we're a bit scattered really, I'm in Brentford, others are in Kew, Ealing, Isleworth, Whitton...

suejonez · 17/03/2007 20:08

roughly...

Kew
Ealing/Acton
Isleworth
Whitton
Twickenham
Ruislip
Marlow
Putney

Have I missed any areas?

We tend to have an evening meetup once a month which different people come to each month and we try to have it in a different area - March was Chiswick. April undecided.

suejonez · 17/03/2007 20:09

you're not on North London line are you? Willesden junction as thats an easy ride into Richmond, Kew or Acton if we're meeting there.
(Sorry Puds forgot Brentfors

nopudstilleaster · 17/03/2007 20:14

Well, I think I'm going to have a bit of a sulk about that, especially as Wales beat England in the rugby

suejonez · 17/03/2007 20:19

27 -18 the word you're looking for is trounced, wales trounced england in the rugby

Paddlechick666 · 17/03/2007 20:22

can't believe i bloody missed the match!

grrrrr

actually, the way things are going i might end up in that neck of the woods as i can't afford to buy round here!

heypickme · 17/03/2007 20:23

I am on the Piccadilly line same as MrsR

ComeOVeneer · 17/03/2007 20:27

Hey Sue what about Thames Ditton eh?

suejonez · 17/03/2007 20:27

not so bad then - I guess hammersmith/acton kind of areas are accessible if you don;t want to drive.

I'm off to go wild and order pizza just can;t be botehred to cook - had an exhausting day car shopping and took DS with me (took my mum too though to occupy him )

suejonez · 17/03/2007 20:28

oh bugger yeah - and Thames Ditton...

nopudstilleaster · 17/03/2007 20:31

And is ele in Sunbury?!

suejonez · 17/03/2007 20:32

oh bugger - and Sunbury...

heypickme · 17/03/2007 20:44

We had pizza for dinner too, very nice.

I see you got a new car, very nice

I dont drive actually so if i was going to meet up i would have to go by tube/bus

heypickme · 17/03/2007 20:48

Sue i posted to see if there is anyone in Wembley/Greenford/Harrow or surrounding area's and i think the only one to answer was MrsR and we agreed to meet up the other week but never heard any more from her.

Is there somewhere else i can post, like a local board or something?

sfxmum · 17/03/2007 20:51

MrsBigD · 17/03/2007 23:52

welcome heypickme
I used to be the 'ring leader' for keeping everybody in check on the west london threads. But that was when I was still working and had heaps of time . Now moved to Marlow and am SAHM and as I've repeatedly lamented it's seriously cutting into my mn time [sulky emoticon]

They are all a very friendly bunch on here if you don't mind mixing with a bunch of foreigners and weirdos

btw all have decided on house warming party on 21 April 2007 (yup sfx time has moved on even here in the country side . Who can make it? kids naturally welcome

heypickme · 17/03/2007 23:57

Happy Mothers Day everyone! We're not doing anything special but we might go out to lunch.

Dh says it's dd's job when she's older to plan mother's day celebration. So there you go.

nopudstilleaster · 18/03/2007 10:42

happy mother's day, we may go to Kew today while its still nice.

foxcub · 18/03/2007 13:51

Hi heypick me

I'm not pretend Irish!! Well, actually I think I'm what used to be known as a "plastic paddy"!! i.e.e grew up here but dubiously aquired an Irish passport (means if I am on a plane which gets highjacked, I won't get taken , as it'll only be the Brits and the Americans )

My dad grew up near Wembley.

Anyway, we're a mad bunch as you can tell. I work but am on maternity leave and have a DS aged 6, DD aged 3 and DS2 aged 12 days!! Once my nipples heal I'll be back on the social circuit with my LO

Sue - car sounds great!! Does DS like it? We had to take out a loan for our car (Cahoot 5.6% - great deal) so INWYM, but we too keep our cars for years, so its worth it.

Paddle - did I make you miss the Rugby yesterday?
