Probably a crap name for us but nevermind. LittleMissPickles, will you be joining us at the Sea Lane cafe on Thursday morning? Anybody else in the area reading this, please feel free to come along to our inaugural meeting. Anyone committing themselves on this board before then, should we all agree that if something comes up last minute - could we attempt to login and let others know? I'll have a quick check before I leave. Erm - I guess the baby - 6mths old chubba-chops boy with blonde hair - might give me away. Otherwise I'm 5.7 with short dark hair & quite slim.

Hi - suits me, no idea what the long range forcast is but I doubt there will be any rain left by then!!

snuffle · 26/06/2007 09:25

Don't bet on it! lol

Normal place & time?

littlemisspickles · 28/06/2007 19:25

Hi

2pm end of George 5th - but we won't if the weather is really bad, will post on here if too yukky!

See you then

snuffle · 29/06/2007 09:16

Hi, think we need to give today a miss, weather plain awful out there, I swear someone out there does a rain dance everytime we make plans, you can count on one hand the number of times we've had a lovely walk in the sun!

Shall we re-arrange for next week?

Hope everything ok with you, DD now has her highchair and she loves it, makes me realise how quickly she is growing up, the time has passed so fast, plus her first birthday is only 6mths away!

woopsadaisy · 29/06/2007 09:29

hi, i am a worthing mum, was just wondering what ages your lo's are, and if anyone can just turn up to meet (when its not raining)

snuffle · 29/06/2007 09:59

Hi, my DDs 6mths, we try to meet every week but has been 2 weeks lately due to the weather.

Keep checking on here as we post when we plan to meet, think todays meet up is cancelled due to the rain, when can you do next week??

woopsadaisy · 29/06/2007 10:12

pretty much anyday, my dd is 27mths, so i will keep checking on whats happening and then i will let you know if im able to make it, thankyou

littlemisspickles · 29/06/2007 12:14

I agree Snuffle - someone up there just doesn't want us to get fit!

Why is it always so windy!!

Anyway - next week, I can do Tuesday and probably Thursday or Friday, we are getting our windows replaced in theory - they won't need me as they have done work here before. I think the forcast is better for the end of the week.

DD is getting really active now, reckon she will be crawling in a few weeks as she is up on her knees and bouncing around loads! Feeding still an issue, but we are getting professional help Monday so hopefully we can get going from then. It may be just cos she is small she has a really small appetite.

Whoops welcome, my DD is 7 months next week.

Gotta go before she rolls off the bed in here!

Hope to see you next week

snuffle · 30/06/2007 11:43

Can do Tuesday arvo.... end of week not so good as my sis gets married saturday and will be busy helping to get organised for the big day!

Get fit... would be nice but this rain isn't helping, the motivation to go walking in the wet isn't doing it for me! lol

DD's hoovering food, everything we offer she takes, think I'm lucky she's taken so well to weaning but she's dumpier then your little bundle so maybe thats why?? Her tummys growing by the day! lol We are now on Breakfast and dinner and still taking 24-32oz of milk on top of that.... she's so greedy! I'm sure R will take to it in time, mines always been the hungier out of them both, think she must be eating R's share!

littlemisspickles · 02/07/2007 20:52

Hi

Sorry late in replying. I can do tomorrow - but only if it isn't so windy! R gets fed up being pushed along in the wind - delicate flower!!

I will log on after Beefit, around lunchtime, maybe we could decide then - not seen the forcast.

R has 3 meals a day, just not eating much at any of them, and we have cut her milk down now from 30oz to 24 offered in a bid to increase her appetite. I realise as she is a dinky baby she has a smaller appetite than most, I guess we are lucky in that she will try anything, is quite happy with lumpy and finger foods - just not much of anything. She is very active though and so near crawling - hopefully once she is on the move she will get hungry. I am trying not to worry, we are not getting her weighed for a few weeks, she how she goes!

Anyway - got to go order stairgates in readiness for her crawling! Hope to see you tomorrow if you can still make it - will come online about 12.30ish

snuffle · 03/07/2007 09:16

Hi, weather not looking good at the mo. Know what you mean re: wind! T not happy when it blows straight onto her, she's a right squermy thing - bless!

Good news that R is happy to try foods, I'm sure she'll be fine, probably easier said from me but try not to worry, if shes hungry she'll let you know otherwise she must be getting enough to keep her going. I was speaking to a friend yesterday and she told me that when babys teeth they are likely to go off their food, if Rs still teething then that could be part of the reason. My DDs not started that process yet so will probably explain why she gulps it down, it'll be me worrying when the teeth start and T stops eating!

Will log on later and see whats happening. Lets hope we have a freak heat wave this arvo!!!! Yeah right! lol

littlemisspickles · 03/07/2007 12:23

We're game if you are? Is still a bit windy, but we can always turn round if they get too fed up.

I know the teething thing can affect their feeds, and she has one definately on the brink of breaking through!

snuffle · 03/07/2007 12:48

OK, lets go for it, but if it rains between now and 2pm we'll call it off as the clouds keep rolling in but so far haven't dropped their load!

Wait for me if I'm a little late, been out food shopping this morning so in the midst of putting it all away, grabbing lunch, feeding the child plus also a new clothes change as she's proceeded to puke up about 4 times this morning and smells like a tramp! lol

See you later.

littlemisspickles · 09/07/2007 17:43

Hi

Snuffle - just wanted to say that I hope the wedding went well Sat - at least they had a reasonable day weather wise (am I obsessed with the weather or what?!)

Also, good luck with work tomorrow - I hope the time flies and DD has a great time!

Next meet up?........... Anyone?.......

snuffle · 09/07/2007 18:49

Hi LMP
Wedding went really well and yes the weather was windy but the sun shone! All in all we had a top day and the newlyweds are now on honeymoon, just hope the sun shines for them while they are away! Think we're both obsessed with the weather! lol

Yep, back to work tomoz for 5 hours, sure it'll be a busy one first day back and all that, just hope DDs ok with nanna feels odd leaving her, before I've been able to choose the amount of time I spend away from her but now its out of my control

Hows the feeding going? Better i hope, she seemed to like her breadsticks and banana the other day!

Can't do this week but name a day next week, other then tues & thurs of course!

littlemisspickles · 12/07/2007 20:28

Hi

Can do Friday pm if that's any good?

snuffle · 15/07/2007 10:26

Thats good for me.... same time & place weather permitting???

snuffle · 16/07/2007 18:43

Sorry won't be able to meet now until 3ish.... as I have an appointment and won't be free until later.
If thats no good shall we arrange something for the following week??? Seems a pity to waste this lovely weather.

LMP - Hows the weaning? Get the feeling its just you and me that write on here now???? Wheres everyone gone???

littlemisspickles · 17/07/2007 20:02

Yes. I get the feeling we have scared everyone else off! Must be me on about weaning or the weather or something!

3pm on Friday suits me, and I could come over to Lancing if you like for a change? Would need to stop for a feed about 3.30pm - but then that's nothing new. I am taking her to get weighed next week, then we'll see if she's maintaining weight on her tiny diet!

And now we have the problem of her not settling to sleep at night...............start of separation anxiety we think! Such a shame as she used to be brilliant at that! Stil I am sure that one day we'll look back at it all and laugh!

If Friday is no good, then any day next week I think.

snuffle · 18/07/2007 17:58

Appointments been moved to 3pm.... sorry, cancelled the last one as I wasn't feeling well so can't really do it again.... can we meet up next week???

Can do anyday other then tues & thurs (work days) and wed morning as its swimming, unless you fancy coming along and trying it out???

Free monday, wed pm and friday......

littlemisspickles · 20/07/2007 09:37

can't beleive it's raining and we have already cancelled! Just to make sure I guess!

Might venture up to Holmbush as I think the M&S sale has started - me and the world and his wife no doubt then! Am on my best mates hen night tonight and need disguise for the muffin top, and don't fancy traipsing round town in the rain looking for something.

We could well be up for the swimming actually - what time is it? At least then we can be sure not to be rained off!!

Right, we had best get ready for Gymbabes, am taking her to a spare session as I miss one in Sept and they are expensive!

snuffle · 20/07/2007 10:20

Hey at least we beat the weather forecast!!!! lol Can't rain us off today

Swimming is anytime from 10.30am onwards, leave home about 10.30 normally depending on how well we've got on that morning, if we leave about the same time we should get there at the same time.

I've not found the pool too cold to be honest, it was little chilly about 3wks ago but seeing as our DDs can only stay in the water for about 20mins its not really a problem and if you bob about under the heater its like being in the carribean!!!

Let me know.... have fun at Gymbabys.... maybe we'll have to try that??

littlemisspickles · 23/07/2007 08:48

Hi

I reckon we should join you swimming Weds - as at least that is weather proof! We could be there for 11am - gives me a chance to feed her mid morning milk. Where did you want to meet?

Having her weighed tomorrow - and if she is still on track then at least that will take the pressure off the feeding somewhat. She's definately taller.

She also has a carpet burn on her nose! A crawling injury!! But I am hoping the scab will fall off this week!

Let me know about Weds

snuffle · 23/07/2007 11:44

Wed sounds great! I'll meet you in the foyer at 11am.

So liitle ones crawling... great news! Mines still struggling with sitting up on her own Going to get her weighed this week as weather put pay to it last friday, and will speak to the HV about it as shes also taken to shaking her head alot??!!

See you wed regardless of weather!!! Yeah!

littlemisspickles · 24/07/2007 20:02

Great news - weigh in went well, she is right on her centile still so that is a great load off my mind - just got to keep doing what we're doing!

When R first sat up she wasn't doing it for ages without kissing the carpet, then suddenly she was sitting upright and never looked back.

She is still finding the crawling frustrating - she can move around quite well but still whinges through the whole process! Her favourite thing now is to pull herself to standing using me if I lie on the floor and that can keep her amused for hours! Handy for when I want to watch neighbours!

Anyway - see you both there tomorrow - whatever the weather.
