Hi Podywody! 6 weeks, that's just mad. What do you reckon DS is going to think? I can't do Monday night but another time would be quite a good meet up thing to do sans kiddies.

Right, Ceramic Place. Anyone fancy Thursday this week? Or the week after could do Monday or Tue afternoon? What time suits you for your LO sleeps Nataz? DS sleeps at totally random times so doesn't really matter to us.

Nataz26 · 20/01/2008 22:38

Hi cant do Monday now either.. no babysitter!

Cermaic place - thursday would be ok. DD sleeps 9-10 12.30-2 so mornings arent too good if getting buses but can do afternoons. Is there somewhere to feed lo's? Dd has milk about 3ish so as long as I can do that then its ok.

SmudgeMum · 22/01/2008 21:45

How was the film Podywody? I haven't been to the cinema in absoulutely ages so then you tend not to hear about films coming out. What else is on?

Thursday at Ceramic Place. Nataz, not sure how long it would take you to get between ceramics place and home? Just wondering whether meeting at about 10.30/10.45 would work? I've got to be home for 1.30 this week, sorry. If no good then we can always try another day? what do you reckon?

Nataz26 · 23/01/2008 09:13

Hi smudge 10.30s fine. Can you get prams in?

SmudgeMum · 23/01/2008 19:24

Great. The whole place is upstairs and there's no lift but there is a doorbell downstairs in the hallway to ring and someone will come and help you bring pushchair up. They have highchairs (the Ikea ones) and a little area which is more for the little ones. If your little one is alright being on the floor, you might like to bring a blanket in and then you can keep her near you if we sit at a table. I can't imagine it will be busy as there's loads of space.
If we have a day like today, I'll be the one with the whinging baby boy. He's nearly one and crawls at a rate of knots. He's got a big cheeky grin and lurves little babies. I've got long blondeybrown hair. See you up there at about 10.30.
Anyone else joining us?

Nataz26 · 23/01/2008 20:43

That sounds ok. She cant quite manage to sit on her own yet but sure it'll be ok.

I'll be the very confused one lol...

SmudgeMum · 24/01/2008 23:37

Lovely to meet you and your smiley DD today Nataz. Hope we don't pass on DS cold because he's had a temp tonight and gone to bed not a happy boy. Not sure if we'll make the wedding this weekend now. HOpe you got all your shopping ok.

Nataz26 · 25/01/2008 09:08

Lovely to meet you to, dd had lots of fun. No signs of a cold tho' so dont worry. Hope he gets better soon. You can guarantee they get ill when u got something planned!!
Look forward to meeting up again, would anyone else like to join us?

podywody · 25/01/2008 22:20

Hi everyone, well we have had a terrible week I had a horrible flu and then ds got it, poor soul he just wanted to be carried around by me which means my back is totally killing me now, I just dont seem to have the engery for him this week.

SmudgeMum · 28/01/2008 14:12

Hi there, Well we ended up at Walk in Centre last night at about 10.30pm as DS still had a temp (from Thursday) and rash getting worse. All ok but he's so sorry for himself, wants to be attached to me all the time and just whiney. I shouldn't complain though because I'm not 8 months pregnant. Don't know how you managed Podywody but hope you're both recovering well.
Where shall we meet next? Anyone fancy Ikea because that was pretty good last time and is busable via Metrocentre.

Nataz26 · 28/01/2008 19:57

I didnt realise your ds was so ill. Not just a cold then, poor thing. Its awful when they're ill esp. when they still dont understand whats going on. Did they say what was wrong?

SmudgeMum · 29/01/2008 19:36

Hi Nataz, They just said it was viral!! He's on the mend. Nose not so snotty but cough fairly hacking. Spots mostly going but looks like a bad case of teenage acne on his cheeks!

podywody · 29/01/2008 21:25

Ikea sounds good, so when, I am free most of next week so when ever, we are begining to just get over our flu now, it just seems to linger. Smudgemum hope ds is feeling better, its hard to see them so ill.

SmudgeMum · 01/02/2008 15:35

Hiya,
How about Wednesday? Really want to meet up with you Podywody before your LO arrives. I think we're free all day so can work round naps etc Ds much better now, just got a hacking cough!

geordiemacminx · 01/02/2008 19:27

Hey ladies - been lurking for a while, I am a mum but not in geordieland anymore . Live in Glasgow now, but like keeping an eye on you ladies, see where you are going, remembering all tha places that I used to know!!!

Natz - my grandma lives in Greenside, Dad in Spen.

SmudgeMum · 04/02/2008 16:56

Hi Geordiemacminx - got any snow up there? Ours has all gone now but I think there's more on the way.
Anyone up for meeting on Wed then? I'm home alone (with DS) Wed/Thur and then for a week in a few weeks when DH goes to Russia!

This time last year, DS was on the way. The contractions started this morning and we went into hospital early evening. He's got sooooo many presents for tomorrow (only 2 from us though). We're planning on going up the Penshaw monument to take some photos as we went up on the 3rd Feb last year and got some lovely shadow pictures of me pregnant. Want to have a go of getting some with DS. Bet it rains!

katwith3kittens · 08/02/2008 12:00

Hello all !

I met 'blooming' Podywody this morning and we thought that it might be a good idea to try and meet up next week, as its half term the week after that and then things are getting a bit close for her

I am having my car serviced on Monday so I will be in Newcastle pretty much all day if anybody fancies a get together ?

katwith3kittens · 09/02/2008 14:06

I'll just clarify that ....

obviously I meant that Podywody looks fantastic and is blossoming at this late stage of her pregnancy.... and not 'blooming' in the annoying kind of way

Does that make sense ?

SmudgeMum · 10/02/2008 19:16

Hi Katwith3kittens - I knew what you meant but like that you felt you had to clarify just in case
What day were you thinking? I could do Tuesday afternoon if that's good with anyone. Monday isn't so great for me Katwith3. Hope the car service is problem free!

podywody · 10/02/2008 20:24

Hi Guys, kat it was nice to see you again your ds has grown up so quick, smudgemum how did the first birthday go ? I got a chest infection and pulled some muscles so I couldn't move for over a week. but better now, monday is not great for me we have lots on but any other day is fine, ye decide and I will be there.

OP posts:
katwith3kittens · 10/02/2008 21:13

Hmmmmm... I've got to see a man about a kitchen on tuesday, so thats me out, but could do a wed or thurs. DD breaks up on Thurs so Fri is out too. So I'll leave it up to you two to decide. Gosh it sounds as if I've got a really busy week.. I'm not usually !

SmudgeMum · 11/02/2008 11:33

Oh no, I can't do Wed or Thur really as I've already got things on. Could maybe sneak an early morning Wed if anyone else can. I need to be leaving Newcastle at about 10.30 so could manage before that. I've just had a look and the ikea restaurant opens at 9.30 ( I think you go in by the restaurant door rather than the store door) That any good for you two? Would be nice to catch up with you both again, even if it's briefly?
Anyone else fancy it?

podywody · 11/02/2008 18:01

thats fine by me, say 9.30am in Ikea restaurant on wed morning

OP posts:
katwith3kittens · 11/02/2008 20:58

Think thats OK for me too.

SmudgeMum · 11/02/2008 22:34

Right, it's a date. We shall see you then. PS If you haven't already signed up for an Ikea Family card, then it's worth doing as you get free tea and coffee Mon-Fri. That means that you can justify buying a slice of the almond cake as that is the same cost as the cup of tea you now don't have to pay for. Do you like my logic?

Anyone else coming to join us? Nataz, would be great to see you again.....
