A few degenerates seem to have the idea that some of us would for some reason once again want to get together for some drink and inane chatter somewhere in London sometime around Christmas.....

So with that in mind the date of 29 November is being paddled around.

Hi folks, sorry to be an utter flake but I am also bowing out. I suffer from chronic insomnia (see thousands of Mumsnet threads passim) and last night I was awake from 2.45am to 7.30am. That's on top of the previous two nights with massive sleepless holes in the small hours. I'm afraid I just can't haul my sorry self into gear, into clothes, into makeup and into town.

Time to persuade GP for another prescription of temazepam, methinks.

Hahaha, Hearts. Great photo and I loved hearing about the Potato Gang meeting up at Victoria! None of you were there as I sauntered through the station earlier - but I wish I'd seen you all waving your vegetables around

limited, thank you so much for organising this - it's a fab place and is certainly on my 'list'. My BFF and I (+ our DPs) do two naice meals out every year - one before Christmas and one on the birthday, which BFF and I almost share. We've already booked our pre-Christmas dinner this year, but I'll suggest we go to AT for our birthdays next year. I know she'll agree with me.

To everyone else, it was really great to meet you all (and see old friends). Hope you all got home OK.

Now .... it's possible you think I was a wimp leaving early, but fate would have it that it turns out that DSS and DSGC will be turning up on our doorstep early tomorrow morning in order that we can all go out and have an exciting exhausting day. So ... I think it's a good thing I got home early and reasonably sober?!
