As Nanou01 has declared me group leader here's a new thread to try and arrange our next meet-up

Oldies and newbies equally welcome :)Grin

I'm pretty free for the rest of May, bar some dentist appointments

June is very barren so any entry in my social calendar would be most welcome.

Meet without the kids any evening
Meet with the kids only weekends

When and where would whoever like to meet? Grin

Good luck Nanou1!! Grin

15 is good for me. In fact it's better than 22nd. SO EVERYBODY MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW!

Off to see if I can surf my way to a Greek restaurant...

Nanou1 · 16/05/2006 11:59

thanks suejonez. bilingual pa to ceo. 1 tube stop from home and it will take me 30 minutes between leaving home, dropping dd at creche and getting into my office!!!!! and all that at leisureish pace. 9 to 5 with hardly ever overtime... the company sounds good too. can you beat that?!

Nanou1 · 16/05/2006 12:00

merci uwila!

MrsBigD · 16/05/2006 12:02

"I'm no fan of Greek food, but I've always eaten well here. The souvlaki is particularly good although they do try and twist your arm into Greek wine, which is okay by the fourth glass. The staff are terrific there is space at the back you can probably get to yourself."

Nope, closest I came up with was... Wine and Moussaka.

suejonez · 16/05/2006 12:03

Sorry Nanou but I think I hate you. (just had to be said on behalf of commuters everwhere).

Despite that - good luck this afternoon.

Uwila · 16/05/2006 12:04

Oh, well MrsBigD is obviously the better surfer...

MrsBigD · 16/05/2006 12:05

SJ Grin I used to commute too and now work 6h/day 5 minutes walk from home. O.k. money sucks but it's worth it LOL

Hope you get it Nanou... it's so great not having a long commute

Oh this is wonderful: "Always seems quiet which is a shame as the food is excellent" We can deffo change this quiet problem they are having!

suejonez · 16/05/2006 12:14

I hate you all, I HATE YOU AAAALLLLLLLLL Envy

It takes me 1hr 15 mins to get into work - got stuck on the tube yesterday and it took me 1 hr 45 mins.

Not much call for finance directors in Kew.

Co-eee - here I am! Yes - I've been working, as you guessed, Uwila. How are you SnowBoo? I'm getting huge but still feeling amazing and glowing all over.

Good luck for the i/v Nanou - I was a PA to CEO many moons ago and loved it. Mind you I have the best of both worlds now - I have a 9-5, work 30 mins from home (door to door), get to travel occasionally and get paid what I'm worth. Plus the people I work with are great fun.

Right, back on track to the 15th June. Just checked the England fixtures and they're playing that day so won't be able to make it. Sorry ladies but football and me go along way back Smile

MrsBigD · 16/05/2006 12:20

MrsR... TAPE IT Grin

SJ... I have to admit I do not work to my capacity... am a very experienced senior PA but now working at sort of amateur level Grin Would be great to find a local job that pays what I'm worth but that ain't gonna happen Sad. But I like where I am and here's hoping we get a big contract in soon, otherwise I have to go either jobhunting in November or become a SAHM

MrsBigD · 16/05/2006 12:22

So what's everybodies take on the
Kalamari Restaurant?

Shall we liven it up a little?

OP posts:
suejonez · 16/05/2006 12:22

though I do only work 4 days a week

suejonez · 16/05/2006 12:24

Kalamari is OK for me, (I didn't get to this size by being fussy about my food Blush) and location is good for me.

MrsRecycle · 16/05/2006 12:38

Perish the thought MrsD - dd1 is our lucky mascot and everytime England are losing she touches Beckham and he scores a goal. We can't have England losing to Trinidad & Tobago. Plus we don't have a video/dvd recorder.

MrsBigD · 16/05/2006 12:53

Grin at your lucky mascot dd :) I'm not into footie but loosing against T&T would probably be a bit embarrassing for England wouldn't it

OP posts:
Uwila · 16/05/2006 13:02

Alright, you weird footie freak. (and I know I'm gonna eat those words when DS is old enough to tell me so) but what time is the game? Can we work around this?

Uwila · 16/05/2006 13:04

So, uh, even I haven't forgotten that flawed penalty kick from the last world kick where Beckham then looked accusingly at the ground as if it had moved. So what does your DD have to say for that one?

Uwila · 16/05/2006 13:06

world kick, world cup, same thing.

suejonez · 16/05/2006 13:11

I'm 51% welsh so I don't pay much attention to that soccer stuff. Still celebrating Wales winning the grand slam season before last though.

MrsRecycle · 16/05/2006 13:20

She didn't have her Fairy outfit on then - I think Beckham had borrowed it Grin Just hope he forgets the penalty taking this world cup. It's a 5 o'clock kick off so I might be able to make a 7.30pm start - that's if dh hasn't planned to invite the whole street over to watch the game. In that case, it might be hard for me to sneak out. Anyways, I'll pencil in the 15th tentatively but will let you know closer the time.

MrsBigD · 16/05/2006 13:39

knowing us lot we won't get round to ordering before 1930 anyhow Grin

So far who have we got then for 15th?

Nanou
SueJones
Uwila
MrsBigD (German Fuehrer)

will try hard to make it

MrsRecycle

will you be able to make it?

Snowboo
Bunyanvillas

Trying2bgood are you still with us?
Slink where are you?!
