As Nanou01 has declared me group leader here's a new thread to try and arrange our next meet-up

Oldies and newbies equally welcome :)Grin

I'm pretty free for the rest of May, bar some dentist appointments

June is very barren so any entry in my social calendar would be most welcome.

Meet without the kids any evening
Meet with the kids only weekends

When and where would whoever like to meet? Grin

If it's a weeknight, I would suggest Chiswick (selfishly) because I can easily get there from work. Some options might be Giraffe or Cafe Rouge.

Although, if everyone else prefers Ealing, I'm happy to go there too.

Nanou, good luck with interview 2. What's the job? And.... uh..... what baby? Do you know something I don't?

Nanou1 · 15/05/2006 11:54

MrsBigD... you need a new name now that you are our GL! i quite like GL ; group leader.... grand lady... gin lover... lets have a vote!
will need to check with DH and suggest some dates.

MrsBigD · 15/05/2006 11:58

Yeah... Uwila is there something we should know? Grin

GinLady?!? Nanou I'm a Vodka guzzler Grin and your new name for today is LaFilleMechante! hugeGrin

Chiswick and Ealing are both fine for me. Naturally Ealing preferred as closer but I've made it to Kingston I'll make it anywhere!

you were faster than me... was going to respond heil but thought we might get removed by the mumsnet spies!!!!!!

suejonez · 15/05/2006 13:29

Mid-late June is good for me - Tues and Thurs prefered, Chiswick prefered over Ealing (but kew prefered over everywhere else Grin).

MrsBigD · 15/05/2006 13:34

now to get back to the very pc topic of going out whilst ditching kids on dh's...

I have been to the following restaurants and liked them:

Tootsies (nr. Ealing Broadway Stn)
Cafe Rouge (Ealing Broadway)
Wine & Moussaka (nr. Ealing Broadway Stn)
Mama Amalfi (Uxbridge Road near Twyford Avenue)
My Old Dutch (Ealing Broadway and hit & miss on quality and service)
Billy Joe's (Uxbridge Road towards Hanwell - hit & miss too - we were lucky though)

Always open to try new places though. :)

\link{http://www.lammas.com/food/bytype.html\a list of restaurants I found on-line}

OP posts:
Nanou1 · 15/05/2006 13:34

'd better let the gestapofuhrer answer.... of course you can... but joining is at your own risk you know!!!!!

MrsBigD · 15/05/2006 13:36

Sue of course you can come!

Nanou... you think we might be removed? Hmmm only if somebody reports this because irked about it... then again I'd be the one that would be the one possibly taking offense for the Nazi jibes... oh hold on... I started it Grin

Wondering if there is a nice German/Austrian Restaurant in the vicinity Grin

OP posts:
Nanou1 · 15/05/2006 13:39

god she is good! quite fancy moussaka but open to suggestions!

MrsBigD · 15/05/2006 13:47

OK so that we can finally welcome Sue to the 'fold' how about narrowing it down to the following Tuesday's and Thursdays?

15 June
20 June
22 June
27 June
29 June

Sue don't know anywhere in Chiswick or Kew so please add to the restaurant list Grin

OP posts:
Nanou1 · 15/05/2006 13:51

GF dont really know what to think on that one. i know you know we are weird creatures around west london but some people might miss the joke?!

MrsBigD · 15/05/2006 13:57

ok here's the explanation for those who might not get the joke... I'M GERMAN and don't mind making light of my historical heritage especially as I'm 1/4 jewish ... so that should keep any potential hecklers at bay Grin

However I did see one thing on the TV last night which I would deem 'offensive'... an add for 'Time Gentlemen' a TV comedy series I don't really like anyhow... but he declares in the add that 'nothing good ever came out of France'... now that's so non-pc... and btw I think some great things came out of France... croissants and baguettes for starters and brioche and croque monsieur Grin
