Hi all so after putting on 2stone in last 3 years am now in the overweight category with bmi over 28. Having found no motivation but getting more and more fed up with myself, I've taken the plunge after reading loads of reviews about exante have brought myself the 2 week box, its coming tomorrow so fingers crossed I can stick to it!
Anyone else starting it or currently doing it?
Posting here to hold myself accountable!

How's everyone doing? I've not stuck to it this weekend so proper cheat weekend, but am going to do it from tomorrow again. Have ordered some more shakes etc from the facebook page hoping it will come tomorrow. Haven't really lost much more did get down to 11.8 so 1lbs weight loss this week, got a feeling that will be back on tomorrow though.

Hi all just checking in! How are you all doing hope you have all had good losses 😊 I'm still down a stone did lose a bit more but have had a blowout this weekend and am ok with that. I seem to be pretty good during the week the eat more on weekend, due on this week so probably stay where I'm at on the scale. But hopefully will continue till xmas and lose a few more pounds.

Morning, so just weighed and have put on 6 pounds 🤯 have gone from 11st 7 to 11st 13, ok so I have over indulged like a lot, I'm gonna hope now I can get back on to low carb maybe not quite exante but just more protein based foods. Fingers crossed, would like to lose a stone now, get down to 11.

You've done so well on this OP! I need
Some of your dedication.

I haven't weighed for a bit but I've eaten (and drank) all sorts for the last week so god help me.

I had lost 11lbs but I had been putting on and losing the same 3lbs for weeks.

I will be back on it tomorrow, I am
All stocked up as I used the Xmas gift discount plus the 30% code. I need to get my act together, I feel bloated and a bit sick.

spaceghetto · 29/12/2020 20:34

I have tried many a diet. I found the best had been eat what you want but run 5k every other day. I've lost 2 1/2 stone in 7 months. I find that running has suppressed my appetite (it took a few weeks for this to happen.) Plus, I don't want to snack as i'm so pleased with the changes I have made. But I love food so if I do fancy a snack, I just run for an extra 10 mins.

par05 · 29/12/2020 22:07

That's fab @MissMogwai 11lbs is brilliant, ell done to you too, I've stuck to it today, but had eaten so much lately and also felt bloated, I haven't felt hungry at all today weirdly. Which is good though ☺, @spaceghetto that's amazing well done, I've tried couch 2 5k a few times but never got past the 3rd week. I've exercised intermittently did 30 day shred etc but still couldn't shift the weight, exante helped me restart my metabolism I think.

A couple of years ago, I had 8 stone to lose. I lost 3.5 stones with Exante. The last year or so I have put on 6 pounds. Started Exante on Monday, 5 lbs down already. Going in all guns blazing to lose the remaining 4 stone!. I love Exante!

Weston14 · 08/01/2021 13:25

Hi there, new to this so hope people don't mind me asking. I want to shift a bit of weight over lockdown/as we head into spring - 3 stone would be amazing, but I'd be happy with 2. I'm overweight according to my BMI but not obese; I can certainly feel I've packed a bit of weight on over the first lockdown. I had a massively busy period in work at the back end of 2019 to the extent where all I would eat would be a bit of hummus and pita some days (not even deliberately, just because I didn't really have time/wasn't thinking) and I've recently looked back at photos from that Christmas and can't get over how well I looked.

Female relative did Exante briefly and it seems like my kind of thing - a kick up the bum to lose a bit of excess baggage and then carry on being sensible from there. My only worry is coming out of it and piling it back on. I've heard horror stories of people having a sandwich and gaining 10lbs back Shock. Done some calculations and I think I need to do Exante for about 10 or 11 weeks then gradually come off it from there. But if I've been on a VLCD for 10 weeks, how long should I spend coming off it? Any pointers?

par05 · 11/01/2021 11:33

That's brilliant @garytherednosedunicorn, well done I'm trying to get back on it I do it for a few days then stop again, need another kick up the backside! I have lost 3 of the 6 pounds I put back on so not to bad.
@weston14 Exante gave me the motivation when I first started it as you see the weight loss straight away and it keeps you motivated, I did it properly for 5 weeks then kept low carb for another 2/3 weeks until xmas, and even now it has definitely kickstarter my metabolism as before no matter what I did I couldn't shift the weight, I would def recommend it.
I would cut out some carbs as another poster said on here a little bit just before you start, and drink alot of water as it keeps headaches away and helps with that full feeling, good luck to you, keep us posted. I feel posting here keeps me accountable, and has helped loads.

Thanks @par05 today is my first day! A relative had a load of spare sachets so gave me some to see how I liked them. Was expecting a lot worse, they taste absolutely fine, so going to order a box now and hope it gets here before my temporary stash of sachets runs out! I already drink gallons of water so I'm hoping that part shouldn't be too much of a problem.

par05 · 11/01/2021 14:25

Fab @weston14 food luck to you! the other thing is I've joined exante swap and sell facebook page and have brought shakes and bars from there, it's much cheaper after the initial 2 week box.

1st weekly weigh in. 8.5 lbs off! So back to the end of my last Exante journey. Eaten half a dozen sticks of celery drizzled with marmite today to curb my savoury cravings.
Good luck to everyone starting this diet! Do come back with your progress or if you need a bit of support or motivation.

par05 · 11/01/2021 17:24

@GarytheRedNosedUnicorn that is brilliant so motivates you to carry on well done on your first week !

GarytheRedNosedUnicorn · 11/01/2021 22:57

Thank you. First week is always the hardest, until you get used to doings things a different way. They do say it takes 2-3 weeks to develop a new habit! Are you following the Exante plan at the moment? Par05

par05 · 12/01/2021 09:47

@GarytheRedNosedUnicorn I'm not at the moment, did it for about 5 weeks fully then low carb for a few weeks, did put some weight on over xmas, my plan was to get back on it, January ... but haven't had the motivation to do it properly yet! Keep saying I will tomorrow! But I'm going to start today hoping I can stick to it again. My starting weight this morning is 11.10 get that out there to motivate myself. 🤞

Day 2 and wow I think I’m feeling it already. Had splitting headache last night before going to bed and I’ve woken up this morning still absolutely knackered. I’m off work luckily and it’s almost like fatigue rather than regular tiredness - I can’t

Weston14 · 12/01/2021 10:06

Whoops that sent too early - was meant to say I can’t even be bothered getting out of bed! I had an Indian takeaway on Saturday night as my “last blowout” type thing so wondering if it’s my body kind of crashing from that?

par05 · 12/01/2021 10:50

@weston14 stick at it, you will feel it but, all of a sudden you will find you have so.much more energy! This is the rough patch for a few days then bam you won't feel hungry and will feel like you have so much more energy.

OP posts:
GarytheRedNosedUnicorn · 12/01/2021 13:44

The first week is the hardest. You can do it! I think now is the perfect time. No get togethers or celebrations to negotiate, and when you next see a lot of people you could be a noticeable weight down!

Weston14 · 12/01/2021 18:32

OK so evening 2... FINALLY got out of bed in the end about 11 this morning and definitely felt all the better for it. Had a bit of a dodgy tummy today, I'm not sure if related to the diet or not. Won't go into too much lurid detail but weighed myself afterwards and was pleasantly surprised to see I'm 4lbs down; i know it's just a combination of water weight and some rather intense toilet activity but it's a nice way to kick off the diet Smile

Hadn't been doing too badly in the hunger stakes but i am absolutely starving tonight. Just going to keep drinking my water as i know from previous experience that hunger subsides if you pay it no mind.

Craving the weirdest thing too- Spanish omelette, which is lovely, but not something I eat a lot Confused

Sorry to bore everyone with my updates, how is everyone else doing?

par05 · 12/01/2021 22:22

Well done 4 pounds is fantastic, and will spur you on! Yep have had the dodgy tummy at the beginning, but soon passes.
Haven't done too bad, maybe a bit over in calories but mainly protein, @GarytheRedNosedUnicorn and @Weston14 you guys have spurred me on to restart it again.
At work tomorrow so will probably be easier to stick to it abit.

Morning everyone how are we all today? I'm definitely sleeping in later than normal, not sure if it's a good thing or not. Impacts your day a bit (I'm normally a fairly early rider) but I definitely feel better for it. Hoping it'll pass. I know you shouldn't weigh yourself everyday, but I weighed myself this morning and I'm 5.5lbs since Monday Grin Again, I know it's water weight but I can definitely feel it - my face feels a lot tighter and my Christmas double-chin has vanished!

Feel fairly hungry but not drastically so (thirsty more than anything). Last night I got into bed and I was really craving something salty like hot toast and butter but I persevered and it's starting to make me think that a lot of the time, when I crave certain foods if I just say no to myself, the craving passes in about ten minutes or so! Just had a text to say my box of exante is due today as well Halo. I've been warned off the meals so just sticking to shakes atm. Currently I'm doing 3 packs a day and only eating between about 10am and 6pm to give me that 18 hour fast time. Also doing 4 litres of water a day.

How is your first day back on the wagon @par05 ?
