Hi all so after putting on 2stone in last 3 years am now in the overweight category with bmi over 28. Having found no motivation but getting more and more fed up with myself, I've taken the plunge after reading loads of reviews about exante have brought myself the 2 week box, its coming tomorrow so fingers crossed I can stick to it!
Anyone else starting it or currently doing it?
Posting here to hold myself accountable!

@WhoWants2Know

I think I'm going to take the plunge and try this out. I've turned into such a sugar addict over lockdown, and last week I started to cut out refined sugar as an initial step.

Do you all buy the 2 week/4 week packs, or do you just order a few things that look nice?

I ordered one of each thing initially and then knew what to order lots of the next time. Some things are delicious and some things are horrible but all depends on your tastes.
Lollollol2020 · 13/05/2021 08:55

Hi @**WhoWants2Know welcome! I ordered some I knew I’d like then ordered the 4 week box pretty much straight after as I soon realised would be very bored doing the same 4 shakes over and over. I have lost 12 lbs in 4 weeks which would have normally taken me 3 months at SW/WW. I am going to do one more week at 800 till I hit the stone mark... then I’ll think about my next goal. My bmi is under 30 now so I think I’m supposed to move on to 1200. Good luck everyone and stay strong.

WhoWants2Know · 13/05/2021 12:13

I bought a 4 week plan to get started, and it should be with me tomorrow. The shakes might be a relief after not having anything sweet for a week!

Brademajo · 29/05/2021 08:47

Hi all - how are people getting on?
I'm maintaining which Im happy about - I did drop below the next stone threshold on the scales but then the next week i put on 2 lbs! Im not too worried as Ive basically got a 2 stone 3 -5 lb loss since Jan 1st so very happy.
The trick Im finding which helps me anyway is sticking to a weigh day. This one day on the weekend - if feeling like Ive had a great week / Friday I will weigh on the Saturday. If I feel like hmm.. I havent been so great - I will be supergood on the Saturday and then weigh on the Sunday. Whatever happens I weigh EVERY week. This so far has helped me keep the weight off.
Unfortunately (almost like an alcoholic) I think I will have a food issue forever and the only way to maintain is to regularly weigh. I know (God knows how many times I've lost weight and put on in the past) that if I dont weigh regularly then the weight WILL creep back on.

With Exante I know what Im having and know it works. Personally I wait until Im low on stocks and then re-order - Exante always seem to email me deals so I just order when I need to (which always coincides with a deal)

I hope my experiences help keeping you motivated - seriously Ive lost the weight and feel amazing but I have to keep a hold of myself or it will all just pile back on.

I sometimes think that Id like something sweet and reach for a bar and cup of tea - I keep the bars in the fridge so normally cut a bar in half. Half a bar and cup of tea will usually satisfy the sweet urge. The I distract myself by going for walk or cleaning ironing (anything!) and then can always come back to 2nd half of bar if I have too (but normally dont)

Any tips out there then please share! :) xx

wecandothisagain · 31/05/2021 19:30

I have just ordered the 4 week plan as they have an offer on at 69.99 for the box.

Like many I gained over a stone on lockdown and have not been able to shift it. Hope this gives me the kickstart I need!

WhoWants2Know · 31/05/2021 20:16

I did my second week weigh in on Friday and so far I've lost 9 pounds. I feel pretty good about how it's going, and I find that if I stay busy then I don't get hungry,

Lollollol2020 · 01/06/2021 11:02

Hi everyone my total loss is still 12lbs - maintained last week which I am happy about. I’ve just started going back to the office and there’s been a few meals and then it was the bank holiday. Back on it today and looking forward to some more losses. Welcome to the newbies. Well done @WhoWants2Know. How are we all doing?

Motivateinmotion · 04/06/2021 17:10

I’m not sure if I can post this here so MN please remove if not. I have a 2 week box for sale if anyone would like it for £25 it’s simply missing 2x shakes. I paid just under £40 this week (can provide receipt etc). Have tried the shakes but they’re just not for me. I’d managed to wean myself off sugared drinks to black coffee so just can’t stomach the sweetness. Contact me if interested. Can provide photos/proof of it all unopened etc

Dasher789 · 07/06/2021 10:03

i have totally fallen off the wagon. i think i am now either slightly more or just less than when i first started. i am going to try and really focus for the next couple of weeks. it is so hard now that things are opening up again

WhoWants2Know · 07/06/2021 16:05

@Motivateinmotion There's a Facebook group called Exante Diet Trade Station: Buy, Sell, Swap where you can sell the products to other users.

Also good for picking up the products you like at a lower price.

Motivateinmotion · 07/06/2021 16:43

Thank you @WhoWants2Know!

Brademajo · 07/06/2021 19:21

@Dasher789 - oh Im sorry to hear that - what triggered the lapse? did you have a 'naughty day' which turned into a couple of days?
Dont despair - just get back on the diet - try small steps again - day by day - everyday you have a low calorie intake then you are helping your body. Have a word with yourself and get back on it!

AFS1 · 08/06/2021 15:02

I’ve just started. Am on day 2. I’ve got about 6 stone to lose in total, but I can’t think like that - it’s too overwhelming, so I’m going to work on half a stone at a time. So far I’m surprised by my lack of hunger. I thought I’d be permanently starving!

Brademajo · 08/06/2021 18:00

Hi AFS1 - welcome!
Most people have initial side effects during the first couple of weeks - so hold on its going to get bumpy! just focus on completing 2 weeks - you will/should be over the side effects and will MOST CERTAINLY have lost some pounds :)

Good luck - :)

post a message if you need support xxx

AFS1 · 08/06/2021 20:48

Thanks, Brademajo.
My stomach has been gurgling almost non-stop for the last 48 hours, and I do occasionally get the dreaded detox headaches, but at the moment I feel ok. I only had time to eat one bar today, so had a big chicken salad for tea. Not a pattern I want to get into, but I couldn’t believe I wasn’t ravenous when I’d eaten so little all day.

Brademajo · 09/06/2021 07:34

@AFS1

The most important thing is to drink plenty of water - this does tend to make you feel bloated then most folks get a bit windy! it isnt good to go too low calorie so make sure you have another bar or milkshake if you havent had the full quota - sounds like you are determined so keep it up!

xx

AFS1 · 09/06/2021 10:56

I really need it to work!
Luckily my partner is doing it too, which is really helping.
We’re planning on going full-on 800 during the week, and possibly dropping down to 1000 at the weekend so we can share more meals with the kids (plus I’m keen not to be too obvious in dieting in front of them).

Orangesandlemons77 · 30/06/2021 19:46

I have just started this plan, this is a great discount code, CLOUD20, gives £20 off any order over £60 and you can use it on the 4 week boxes as well.

Brademajo · 18/07/2021 06:43

Hi all,

How are is everyone getting on? - I maintained but over the last 3 weeks 6lbs has crept back on :( - another 2 this morning so that it - back on Exante.
Ive been weighing every week (as promised myself) and I know Ive lapsed back into a little extra here, little treat there etc - the weight comes back.
I'd really like to hear from people who are in the zone and losing weight or have kept weight off to get my mojo back! :)

CliftonGreenYork · 18/07/2021 15:12

Hi All

I started Exante 12 days ago and have lost 10lbs so far, and thrilled about that. Starting weight was 15stone 6lbs (I'm a 6ft tall man) and want to get down to anything under 13stone. I've been drinking lots of Boullion when I feel any hunger. Loving the bars (accept the flapjacks) and the soups are a nice change.

Brademajo · 18/07/2021 21:04

@CliftonGreenYork - You are well on track! Are you having 4 'meals' a day or 4 meals plus low calorie meal? and what was the main reason why you put on weight?

Keep going - you will be there in a couple of months!!

CliftonGreenYork · 19/07/2021 06:24

Doing 4 Exante meals a day for first 4 weeks and then planning on doing 2 and an evening meal. Basically lockdown was main reason and started working from home 3 days a week. This resulted in daily visits to corner shop for bad food. Along with Friday night take aways.

par05 · 19/07/2021 20:24

Hi all, started back today! Had put on half a stone back, and just haven't had the mojo, hoping I can stick at it again 🤞 well done @CliftonGreenYork that's brilliant keep at it, and @Brademajo let's do this 👊

Brademajo · 20/07/2021 08:43

@par05 - hey!!! great to hear from you!
7 little ol' pounds...hard buggers to shift!! but 2 weeks of exante and they will be gone (or very nearly!)
So I weighed Sunday and another 2 lbs on..I maintained since April and loving my new figure..but the greedy part of me is still there and I had slipped back to tucking into nachos and dips at social gathering, chocolate from the fridge with my coffee, then another in the afternoon. I know where the calories have come from and I KNOW that they were not needed - no one forced me, I didnt need to have a biscuit (or 5)...
So I am NOT slipping back to my old weight after trying and succeeding to lose it.
Im in the zone.
Yesterday I had a milkshake ice-cream, large salad and bar for lunch and then pasta carb meal for tea - and some grapes. Woke up feeling really good and pleased with myself. Did >10k on steps and went for a swim (though it was more like a float about!)

@CliftonGreenYork - did you know you can put a milkshake in the freezer for approx 2/3 hours and it is like icecream? someone told me on this thread and it has been a game changer as icecream is a weakness for me.

@par05 let me know how you are today/tomorrow :) - absolutely LETS DO IT!

par05 · 20/07/2021 17:41

I know what you mean @Brademajo same here kept it off for ages, then slowly a little here and there, and it jas crept back on! Day 2 today and have done pretty good so far, but don't think I'm drinking enough water even though it's soooooo hot!! But yep 2 weeks exante and should lose 7lbs at least 😊
