Hi all so after putting on 2stone in last 3 years am now in the overweight category with bmi over 28. Having found no motivation but getting more and more fed up with myself, I've taken the plunge after reading loads of reviews about exante have brought myself the 2 week box, its coming tomorrow so fingers crossed I can stick to it!
Anyone else starting it or currently doing it?

Thanks for the tip on the ice shake - it was lovely. I am on Day 13 and have lost 10lbs which is blooming fab. BMI is now 27.8 and I just want to get back under 25. Starting new job in 4 weeks time and hoping to have lost another 10lbs by then.

Day 3 (of 2 weeks) - feeling good - drank quite a lot of water as its so hot (but probably still not enough)
ice-cream shake / bar / salad and fish - yesterdays food
Ice-cream in the fridge already and I bought lots of grapes to snack on.

Feeling good - 2 weeks and those pounds are OFF!

@CliftonGreenYork - sounds like you are focussed and on track! Just think - when you start you job you will look fab and have such positive attitude - the people you work with will want to work with a guy whose positive and up for it! - you can totally do it!

@Dasher789 - how are you?

xx

Dasher789 · 21/07/2021 09:21

@Brademajo oh goodness, i am not doing great, i am still off the wagon. i think i am for the most part not eating too badly at meal times but buscuits are my weakness and i am eating too many. I am in the process of moving house which isn't helping. I have some shakes left though. i think you have given me the reminder i needed. I will pick up a shaker today and start back again.

so happy that you are doing well on it. well done!!

Brademajo · 21/07/2021 12:34

Hi @Dasher789@das
Sounds like you have a lot to deal with right now - but I think you should try to view this as a positive distraction if you can - biscuits are my downfall too, basically if the packet is open - i finish it. Ive even bought biscuits i dont particularly like (so others can have them) and I still eat them all (what a pig :( )

Maybe you can plan what you are going to eat at the start of the day - get busy on the move so you dont think about what you are eating - you already have food ready?

Try also if you are tempted - to say to yourself - "Do I REALLY want this biscuit (or whatever) do I REALLY? I know that if I have it - its disappeared in seconds and I will feel crap" - then go an distract yourself with a cup of tea or activity!

I'm saying this to myself all the time! sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't and I tuck in - but if it works one time then that's less calories consumed so can only help (I also feel pleased with myself when resisted) :)

Anyway - I hope you can get back on it :) :) :)

Hi there,

I started on 7th June. Lost 20lbs by last week but had a very bad weekend last weekend where I put 5lb back on, so I’m still trying to lose that!

Brademajo · 24/07/2021 09:15

Hi @AFS1 - Losing well over a stone in a 7 weeks (?) is excellent - Keep going - ok so a blip but refocus. Just think by the end of the year you could have lost all that weight :) - its not a long time in the scheme of things but if you dont try then it wont happen and you will be where you started (or worse - nightmare how weight piles on :( )
Imagine how its been a tough year / 2 years with covid restrictions but you could look back and think yes things were hard on everyone but that's the year I took control and look at me now!

I have been pretty good this week and will weigh tomorrow - hopefully a couple of pounds off.

:)

Dasher789 · 25/07/2021 11:07

Thanks @brademajo , I needed that! - I am making an effort to go for a walk each day and this morning I started the day with a frappe shake. I am back on the train Grin

Brademajo · 25/07/2021 11:18

@Dasher789 - awesome!

I weighed today and same weight - I had hoped to lose but I hadnt totally stuck to diet and hadnt increased my steps - so bit dissappointed but its hard to lose weight - I hadnt put enough effort in so got what I deserved!
At least it wasnt an increase..

Not to worry - going for long walk with dog now and will keep at it.

what you put in = what you get out

I hadn't put in enough :(

I've had a bowl of cereal this morning - will go or >10k walk - milkshake for late lunch and large salad for tea.

Keep going everyone :)

All good here. On day 19 of exante and have losts 13lbs, and am thrilled. Currently on holiday in Scotland (should have been singapore) and sticking to the diet during the day and have lightest meal I can find in the restaurants in the evening. Don't actually feel that hungry, which is a massive difference for me.

CliftonGreenYork · 04/08/2021 16:43

How are we all doing. I am back from my 10 day holiday and managed to lose 3lbs whilst away. I am delighted with myself as was hard trying to be healthy whilst hubby was eating lovely cooked breakfast each morning and I was having a bar.

AFS1 · 07/08/2021 15:45

I fell so far off the wagon on holiday that I can’t even see it! Back today. Dreading weigh-in on Monday but determined to clamber back on plan.
