Hi all so after putting on 2stone in last 3 years am now in the overweight category with bmi over 28. Having found no motivation but getting more and more fed up with myself, I've taken the plunge after reading loads of reviews about exante have brought myself the 2 week box, its coming tomorrow so fingers crossed I can stick to it!
Anyone else starting it or currently doing it?
Posting here to hold myself accountable!

I've just started this and have lost 8lb in 10 days.

I find it easy to stick to and as another poster said, I'm not thinking about food all the time. The shakes, bars and some of the meal replacements are nice, not sure about the soups though 😷

I'd lost 2stone and kept it off ready for my wedding in May (postponed now due to Corona) and piled it all back on, plus a bit more, during the lockdown and working from home. Had no willpower or motivation but hated looking in the mirror! So thought I'd give this a go, and I'm so chuffed I did!

The test for me will be keeping it off but I can't let myself get this big again as I feel like crap.

@CanSomeoneElsePickMyName you can do it! It was same for me just felt so deflated but have stuck to it and feeling so much better, @MissMogwai that's fab! Well done, it's such a motivator when you see the initial loss, spurs you on! I'm 1lb away from losing a stone and that's in 2 weeks and time of the month in between so can not fault it!

I liked exante for quick results back in the day. Obviously it usn't sustainable long term but it can get you off to a flying start.
Good luck!

I managed to get booked in to give blood today so I am not starting it yet. I can go a bit wobbly so don't want to do it on exante in case I pass out 😂
Thanks for the support. X

I'd ordered some more packs which arrived today. Had the Butterscotch Delight for lunch and it's gorgeous.

Have any of you been on the sale or swap Facebook page, lots of people selling packs they don't like/need.

par05 · 12/11/2020 17:56

I'll have to have a look at that , I'm on a exante meals under 200 cal page which gives some good ideas !

Has anyone had success with the pancakes?

I've got a new pan but they still turn out rubbish! (I still eat them 😂)

par05 · 13/11/2020 22:08

@missmogwai same here haven't been able to properly make them either! But also have still eat them lol and put a bit of butterscotch skinny syrup on them, slipped up today had a salted caramel latte from Mcdonalds, but have not gone over my calories so fingers crossed not a big slip up!

@par05 that coffee sounds amazing.

My DP came home tonight with some jelly babies for me, the saboteur. By some miracle I have not eaten them as I need to
Stay in the zone!

Today has been a struggle but I've had some strawberries for a snack.
I need some low carb snack ideas if anyone has any?

par05 · 14/11/2020 13:52

Thanks @MissMogwai it was nice !
I tend to keep fridge raiders small packs as can grab a pack of them and just eat them without to much thought! Theres a facebook page that shows food ideas while on exante worth checking out!

How's everyone doing today?

OP posts:
MissMogwai · 14/11/2020 15:03

Not too bad so far. How's yours?

Although I know my DP and daughter will be having a Chinese take away tonight so I'm already planning what I will have from my meal replacements 😩

Had the Lemon Cheesecake shake for lunch, it's my favourite shake so far. Thinking of trying the hack to make buns with the shake this afternoon.

par05 · 15/11/2020 07:30

Not to bad @MissMogwai weight loss has slowed down a bit but I think that's to be expected, it was diwali yesterday so ended up having 2 samosas🙈 but no sweets and didnt go much over calories, so hoping it be ok! Back on it today.

MissMogwai · 15/11/2020 10:33

I caved and had a bit of their Takeaway and a couple of biscuits 😐

Back on it today though. Had a choc coconut bar for breakfast, I was hoping it would be like a Bounty. It wasn't!

par05 · 16/11/2020 09:38

Hi so have lost a stone and now 3rd week seem to have hit a plateau! I know I had a bit of a cheat on sat but did stick to the calories, here's hoping for a better loss next week! 🤞

Hi all, starting day 1 today. Have had a chocolate peanut butter shake and a salted caramel bar. Have had about 750ml of water, its tough trying to up my water intake. Hope everyone has a good week Smile

par05 · 16/11/2020 13:21

Good luck @itsmschanandlerbong ! Yep I've gone from drinking no water to drinking at least 5/6 cups a day. Found it hard but seem to feel more thirsty the more water I drink 🤷‍♀️ the salted caramel bars are really nice!

itsmschanandlerbong · 17/11/2020 23:01

@par05 don't beat yourself up over having a few bad days, it happens and you can just get straight back on it Smile

I'm at the end of day 2 today. It has been difficult, I have been quite hungry and I'm struggling a bit physically with the change in my diet. Carb withdrawals maybe? Just been feeling quite tired, low in energy, sore head and also quite sweaty for some reason. I'm just trying to push through anyway. I'm trying to see this through week to week to make the difficult times more manageable so I'm just trying to focus on getting through this week and weighing to see how much of a difference it has made.

itsmschanandlerbong · 17/11/2020 23:05

Yesterday I tried the peanut butter shake, the salted caramel bar and the birthday cake bar. Today I tried the white chocolate shake, the lentil daal pot and the maple and pecan flapjack. Wasn't too keen on the lentil daal pot. The shakes are surprisingly nice. Upped my water intake to 2.5l today too 💪 any recommendations of products to try for the next order?

MissMogwai · 18/11/2020 17:44

@itsmschanandlerbong the lemon cheesecake shakes are delicious, especially with lots of ice.

I've also had a couple of the shakes warmed up, the salted caramel and chocolate ones. They were lovely, like a thick hot chocolate. Nice for lunch and very filling.

par05 · 18/11/2020 19:54

Thanks @itsmschanandlerbong been good today back on it . Hope you're feeling better today and tiredness going, it will be worth it when you jump on scales and see the loss, also will get alot easier! And as @missmogwai said the shakes warm are so much nicer, the frappe tastes just like a latte and I find fills me up more.

Hi there - I started on Monday. Hoping to follow 'total solutions' until just before Christmas. Lockdown comfort eating has got me to a weight I've only seen before when heavily pregnant (13.7lbs and only 5'4) Shock so far I've dropped 5lbs which I know will mainly be water but it's enough to keep me going. Good luck everyone x

par05 · 20/11/2020 20:26

@windyermummyup that's brilliant it will spur you on! And same here going to try and keep it up until xmas too, although I am starting to introduce more foods I am staying under 1000 cals. Good luck to you too 😊
