Hi all so after putting on 2stone in last 3 years am now in the overweight category with bmi over 28. Having found no motivation but getting more and more fed up with myself, I've taken the plunge after reading loads of reviews about exante have brought myself the 2 week box, its coming tomorrow so fingers crossed I can stick to it!
Anyone else starting it or currently doing it?
Posting here to hold myself accountable!

How is everyone getting on?
I lost another 3 lbs so I’m pleased!

Brademajo · 17/03/2021 09:23

Hi Altiara - well done - feels great to lose weight!!

I have been eating a mix of Exante and low calorie meals - I weighed myself on Saturday and another pound off...i was hoping to lose 2 to get to the 2 stone mark! ah well - I will weigh this Saturday and hopefully I will have another pound off :)

I have been walking alot and even decided to go for a run yesterday - only a short shuffle but I measured and it was 3k so thats fine. Going for another shuffle today ;)

Keep going everyone - we will buck the trend of lockdown weight gain and emerge looking fab!!

Brademajo · 20/03/2021 07:58

Hi everyone
I've done it! weighed this morning and Ive lost 2lb so Ive lost a total of 2 stone 1lb :) Im sooooooooo pleased!!

This thread has gone a little quiet lately - I hope everyone is ok - it would be lovely to keep in touch - I miss @Weston14 and early posters - you were such an inspiration!

:)

par05 · 22/03/2021 10:23

@Brademajo that is amazing! Well done to you, keep at it, I'm trying to get back on it as have been a bit unmotivated lately, but would love to lose another stone! Need to find my mojo. April 12th is next date so hoping to lose at least 7lbs by then would be good. Yep we have gone quiet lately so come on let's get the oomph back 😁

Hi @par05 Thanks! yes April 12th - 7lbs should be totally achievable by then and how chuffed would you be! Go for it :)
I treated myself while watching rugby (beers and crisps!) so have probably regained my 2lbs so back on it today to get them off!
Lovely day here today so off for long walk

Mojos assemble!

par05 · 22/03/2021 12:28

Just thought I would say hello. I am on day 21 of exante, it's a fairly unusual diet ( which you all know already!) where some days are easy and some not so much so looking for somewhere to chat for motivation.

I am not weighing myself which may seem odd. I weighed myself at the beginning, worked out I need to lose 50 pounds exactly, figured that's 25 weeks on exante ( low mobility at the moment due to being in an accident) so I'm just trying to get to week 25 to see if it's worked. I always come off diets when I don't lose so this seemed like a good solution , I'm assuming I'm 6 pounds down at the minute (more in water weight but I will gain that back ). So hello everyone and I hope you've had a good weekend.

Cherryicecubes · 28/03/2021 23:40

Hope everyone is ok! I’m struggling a little at the moment. Still 2 stones off then stayed the same for 2 weeks. So then had a weekend splurge, then being ultra strict and losing the 2-3 lbs gained at the weekend during the week. It’s the same few pounds going off then on. I need to break this.

Cherryicecubes · 28/03/2021 23:43

Cherry ice cubes : is GaryUnicorn! Had to name change!

GaryUnicorn · 28/03/2021 23:46

I’m back! (See message above!)

Brademajo · 29/03/2021 10:16

@GaryUnicorn @Cherryicecubes - youve got me all confused!! So you lost the 2 stone and now you are fluctuating around now with a few pounds on and a few pounds off? I dont know if it wil help but refocus on 12th April - what do you hope to lose from now and then? 5lbs should be achievable so aim for that :) then...depends on what Boris says (!) we may have a new goal date to go for. I think setting milestones helps then you dont mind the fluctuations - be like @Ellie7879 (hello!) and dont weigh or at least dont worry about the weight until a certain day then log it :) - hope that may help refocus you!

@Ellie7879 Hi! I did a similar thing at the start - not weighed - just let the diet do its thing. The diet does work (provided you stick to it)
Since you are on day 21 you have gotten over the worst of it (i hope!) - the bloated / windy / cravings etc. Once you get to week 25 even if you are not quite at target you will definitely have shifted some weight and will be in a much better place than you are now so stick to it and you will be fabulous!

I found I have a bit of a new problem (lost 2 stone) - loose skin - Im hoping to keep on walking etc - Im not a very good exerciser (lazy) I tried doing some tummy exercises but basically they were so hard - crunches etc - that I just gave up - anyone got any EASY exercises - even plank makes me shake!

Reaching out to my support team here! :)

GaryUnicorn · 29/03/2021 10:30

@Brademajo sorry for the confusion! Yes I have still lost the 2 stones which was my goal for my birthday! But I can’t seem to push beyond that, and that leads to a little overeating, put on a pound or two, then lose it again. Whatever I do, I can’t get beyond the 2 stone mark. I have started anew this morning, just sticking to products, no meals to see if I can power on through!

par05 · 30/03/2021 09:07

@garyunicorn you have described me! I lost a stone and can't seem to get past that ! I keep putting on a few pounds then losing then back on , stick to it a few days then come off it. Just can't seem to find the mojo to stick to it long enough. But will keep trying !

@Brademajo have you tried doing lucy Wyndham read, she does toning/walking exercises, and leslie sansone very similar, they do stomach toning exercises while standing etc.

@par05 - thanks! I will google :)

GaryUnicorn · 30/03/2021 11:20

@par05 If I’m honest, there were a few little things slipping in here and there. A sliver of cheese when I went to the fridge, some sugar free sweets, a piece of ham... I am now writing EVERYTHING down. I am going to stick to just 4 products to force myself to be accountable! I weigh daily, and today I am still exactly 2 stones down. Hoping for a good clean run before Easter is upon us!
Good luck everybody!

par05 · 30/03/2021 21:09

I know what you mean @GaryUnicorn! I would just go ahh it's only a tiny bit or I'd just not log down that day, if I can't see it it didn't happen kind of thing lol. Yep let's have a good run till easter!

OP posts:
GaryUnicorn · 08/04/2021 14:08

How is everybody doing? I was a complete glutton over Easter, and ate lord knows what for 4 days. The scales on Tuesday said I had put on 6lbs. Grrr. I have been really strict since Tuesday and have lost 4lbs of that.no excuses I’m planning to have a good few weeks being strict. My total lost is still 2 stones. Really really want to lose a third stone as my next goal.

par05 · 08/04/2021 22:28

I hear you @GaryUnicorn! Same here those chocolate shaped eggs had a hold on me over easter lol! I'm putting on a few pounds and then losing them again, just really want to lose a bit more, but can't seem to stick to it, like before need mojo back 😩

OP posts:
Brademajo · 12/04/2021 07:37

Hi folks - weighed this morning and in total since start Ive lost 2st 3lbs...very very happy (although I am 2 lbs off breaking through the next stone reading on the scales! - would have been v nice to have lost those 2 stubborn ones)
Ive fluctuated a pound or 2 for the last 3 weeks but this is including Easter and my son was home from Uni last week so ate a bit more that I would do in a normal week. Back on it just to break that stone barrier!

I hope everyone is ok and are still losing or maintaining - If anyone has slipped off then come back! get motivated again - we have the summer coming up and more goals to aim for :)

Planning to hit the shops after work today! yay! xxxxxx

Lollollol2020 · 13/04/2021 15:14

I’m hoping to start tomorrow or when my post arrives. I am looking to lose about 2 stone. I’ve gained a stone during the combined lockdowns and I can’t seem to lose it and, great timing, I have just hit menopause! I want a quick fix to get me started then switch and slowly transition out to a healthier eating plan. I had already started exercising a couple of weeks ago and do low impact workouts from Chloe Ting on you tube 4-5 times a week.

GaryUnicorn · 13/04/2021 16:04

Hi @Brademajo - glad you’re still on track! Snap - I’m on 2stone 3 loss since the start of January. I put on 6lb over Easter, but have lost that again! Have gone back to my swimming this week, did a mile yesterday, and a mile today. Will probably have a little gain as my muscles come back to life, but fully expecting that! Hi @Lollollol2020. The first few days are the hardest, so do all you can to get through those, and you will be ready to take on the world. Trying going to bed early to read/watch a film on your phone. For sweet cravings, have a 10 cal jelly, for savoury have an oxo or stock cube in boiling water. You must drink loads of water. It helps with hunger and keeps you healthy. After a few days your stomach will shrink, making you less hungry and cutting out refined carbs and sugar will give you a lot more energy. You can do this!

Lollollol2020 · 13/04/2021 16:32

@GaryUnicorn Hello thanks for the welcome and the tips. I’ll update once I’ve got started!
