Week 2 - May '18 Low Carb Bootcamp - my favourite week!

Morning all

Here's the Spreadsheet

I love this week, seeing how much weight people lose, and especially as it's always such a surprise for newbies and those who feared that this WOE wouldn't work!

I hope you've all seen good results.

If you haven't - don't despair, but have a think about the week just gone. Look at what you were eating/drinking and consider how well you followed Bootcamp rules.

Any problems, as ever, post them on the thread.

Ok so, if this works, this is me. The first pic was taken last June, a month into BC. I'd already lost half a stone by then. The other was me on Saturday, after having just come in from a run.

name looking good! You look very fit and toned.

StuntNun · 21/05/2018 11:21

Well done everyone that has seen a big loss this week. Don't write it off as all water weight. Yes some of it will be but some will also be fat and it will be predominantly the dangerous visceral fat from around the organs so your health is already improved after just one week. Not everyone loses weight in the first week, and some even gain so please do ask if you're worried that low carb isn't working for you.

Max try adding electrolytes to your water. I put a couple of scoops of electrolyte powder into a 2-litre bottle of water and other people have been using the Zero electrolyte drink tablets . I prefer the electrolyte powder as it doesn't contain sweeteners.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 21/05/2018 11:22

Thanks, ilove! What that picture doesn't show is the flab tucked into the pants! Which is why I'm still here as I'd love to get rid of that final bit.

I meant to say, I love your pictures, especially the latest one. I also can't believe you're 60 - are you sure???????? I bet something tighter fitting on your top would look great - you should try it.

ClaudiaNaughton · 21/05/2018 11:50

Oh dear posted on previous one. 2lb off. Would someone be really kind and put on spreadsheet?
Tuna mayonnaise for lunch. BiWi ‘s lamb steaks marinaded in mint garlic and olive oil.

Westworld · 21/05/2018 11:51

Wow - well done cherries and *namechange - fantastic results!!

Westworld · 21/05/2018 11:52

8lbs down for me woohoo! But I had just come back from holidays where I get really bloated from eating bread at almost ever meal!

Justmuddlingalong · 21/05/2018 11:52

ClaudiaNaughton done. 👍

ClaudiaNaughton · 21/05/2018 11:56

Ok I lied. No tuna in cupboard so it’s sardines.

ClaudiaNaughton · 21/05/2018 11:57

Thank you Just

SummerRayne17 · 21/05/2018 11:58

@TimeIhadaNameChange You can see a big difference and should feel proud of your achievement 😊

SummerRayne17 · 21/05/2018 12:00

@Hefzi Sorry to hear you're having such a rough time. I'm sure i read somewhere that the stress hormone Cortisol is counterproductive to weight loss, so maybe that's why you aren't seeing a change? It sounds like you have a lot to deal with!

ilovecherries · 21/05/2018 12:04

Girafski, so sorry to hear your news. It's nice to see you back, I'm just sorry about the circumstances.

SummerRayne17 · 21/05/2018 12:06

@DaughterDrowningInJunk That's great! I've been putting off trying on some of my too tight jeans but you have inspired me to possibly try later!

Theres definitely a larger gap in the waistband on my work trousers now, so im feeling more comfortable whilst sat at my desk 👍🏼.

blackteaplease · 21/05/2018 12:10

Furiousfifties are you me? I had exactly the same sales experience this morning. I thought for a fleeting second I'd lost 7lbs but it settled on 3.5 but I don't know if my start weight is accurate now. So frustrating.

Mueslibox · 21/05/2018 12:12

No loss here Hmm but jeans fitting better, mum-tum mega shrinking, and as a daily weigher I know that most days I’ve been down 2 pounds.

I also only have ten pounds to lose before being ‘ideal weight’, which I think is the hardest weight to lose (does anyone else find that?)

It doesn’t help that my industry plus also my school gate are populated by sheeny shiny skinny Minnie’s... although I know you shouldn’t compare, it’s actually been good for me as it’s made me realise if you really commit, you CAN have a lovely figure and so then why shouldn’t it be me?

Before and after photos VERY inspiring - wow! Both afters amazing.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 21/05/2018 12:13

It's so inspiring to see the before and after photos - it's nice to be reminded that it's worth it!

DH brought cake home from a party last night. He had some last night and I chucked my half in the compost bin this morning. I really love cake and it smelled delicious but it's just not worth it - the last time I slipped up, I fell off the wagon for 6 months and gained a stone.

Actually I'm a bit nervous; DH's birthday is in two weeks and his family are coming over. There'll be cake and three or four desserts, and I'm going to need my very strongest willpower for the whole weekend, while I cook and serve the whole lot. Leftovers will be relentlessly forced on everyone who walks through the front door; when I sit down at the end of the party, wrecked, the fridge needs to be completely empty or Terrible Things will happen.

AthelstaneTheUnready · 21/05/2018 12:16

Wow, Time, that's amazing! You look so slim and toned.

Lonesurvivor · 21/05/2018 12:16

Quick question, on the list it says turnips are 2g carb per 100g but every where else I've looked it comes up around 8g.
Also is boiled ham ok to eat freely, does it count as a processed food?

AthelstaneTheUnready · 21/05/2018 12:18

if you really commit, you CAN have a lovely figure and so why shouldn’t it be me?

Exactly! Lovely figures and nice skin aren't just for other people.
