Wow! This is the first time I've had to start a second thread this early!

Please continue to post all your meals, ideas, questions, woes, successes etc here!

I'm currently on a train Oop North with very dodgy wifi so can't guarantee I will see or be able to answer all your questions, but I'll do my best.

Also, tomorrow I'm at a funeral Sad so won't be around very much

Laska5772 · 18/05/2018 10:36

Felt like I ate so much yesterday and so much fat. Got on the scales this morning and have lost again. That makes 5.5lbs in a week ( started last Thursday) !! Smile

Laska5772 · 18/05/2018 10:38

Eating Breakfast as I type ..3 eggs scrambled in butter

Justmuddlingalong · 18/05/2018 10:40

Also out for a curry tonight to celebrate the birthday of ex daughter in laws boyfriend and meet his family for the first time. Although she's been separated from my son for four years we are all still very close. We then get to bring two overexcited children home with us and they will be joined by 9mth old half brother Alfie tomorrow. Busy weekend ahead.

So food today is

B creamy coffee, ham and lettuce roll
L cold chicken thigh, green salad with oily dressing
D tandoori prawns with saag paneer

I'm already on 2L of water so well ahead today.

Actual LOL bingefest at the cystitis/antibiotic concept Grin

SummerRayne17 · 18/05/2018 11:28

Found it

Rshard · 18/05/2018 11:48

Chuckled at the antibiotics and cystitis scenario binge!

The thread is fabulous at the moment, I’m loving it.

UnimaginativeUsername · 18/05/2018 11:53

Maybe ‘I’m low carb bootcamping’ could become the new ‘don’t guess I’m not drinking because I’m pregnant’ excuse. Grin

SummerRayne17 · 18/05/2018 11:57

@BIWI sorry to hear about your loss, hope things go as well as they can today 💐

Well i have most definitely lost fat as my belly is looking significantly smaller than it did at the start of BC! 👍🏼😄 I am only weighing once a week on Boots scales, so wont know a figure until Sunday.

For the first time in my life I feel that this WOE is something that I can really stick with. I literally don't feel hungry anymore, which really is a revelation!

Was up most of last night with a poorly DD, so meals probably going to be very simple today as she's so clingy.

B - Aldi (10%) full fat Greek style yoghurt with double cream stirred in & a mug of black coffee.

S - full fat mini babybel

L - Tuna burgers with kale and butter, full fat mayo to dip in.

D - Family takeaway night but im planning on either chicken tikka or tandoori chicken on the bone with a veg dish.

UterusUterusGhali · 18/05/2018 12:36

So sorry about your friend. :(

These threads are moving so fast!
I couldn't get into the original spreadsheet. I've just weighed myself at work and it only does KG and I've lost 400g. :/ 0.8lb?

I'm going to a the pub tonight (kinda have to). Hoping to leave early but will probably have to have a wine to overcome social awkwardness. Sigh.

HappyHoppy · 18/05/2018 12:45

Mmm... I had these (ketodietapp.com/Blog/post/2018/05/08/keto-avocado-and-goat-cheese-prosciutto-roll-ups) lovely prosciutto, goats cheese and avo roll ups (kind of meaty sushi!) for lunch and they are lovely! I didn’t use balsamic - just dipped in olive oil.

FlowinElla · 18/05/2018 12:55

Afternoon all! Today's menu:

B: 2 soft boiled eggs on wilted spinach with butter
L: my HM pate, celery sticks and radishes
D: chicken breast, creamy leeks + Brussels

I remember having a craving for celery for the first time ever in my life (I used to hate the taste), due to LC and healthier eating.

I hope everybody KOKO through the weekend! We're going to a wedding tomorrow (no, not H+M!), a very small affair catered for by family and friends. Food should be easy, meat and salads, but can/should I avoid a toast to the happy couple? Actually, I should - I just remembered that it makes my night sweats worse (as in more often). I'll lift a glass of sparkling water!

PuddingAndHotMilk · 18/05/2018 13:02

Wowsers! How fast does this move!! I'm really struggling to keep up.
I got the cold thing a bit last week (I started a bit early) but seems to be less apparent this week. Aunt Flo is visiting so I'm not weighing and I'm a little bloaty but I think less than normal.
Today's menu:
Egg and avocado for breakfast
King prawns and leeks in butter with asparagus and broccoli for lunch
I'm going to a friends tonight for BBQ - pork belly and lemon and herb chicken thighs with green salad for me.
I'm drinking 6/7 pints of water a day but still not back to pale pee yet. I may try for 8 and add a second electrolyte tab too (I run ~every other day so I know I need to keep my salts up)
Good luck to everyone who has Friday night temptation ahead - stay strong, you can do it!
Thinking of you today biwi Thanks

AromaticSpices · 18/05/2018 13:05

Hello all!

My dinner out was pretty good I think. I had salt/chilli squid to start (although it did have a light batter probably made with flour, but I didn't have much so although not strictly bootcamp I was happy overall with my choice). Main was shaking cubed beef with a tangy salad which had lots of cabbage and lettuce and cucumber and a few pickled things and was totally delicious. No alcohol either, just sparkling water. No compulsion for a pudding or snacks on the train home like i usually would have done pre bootcamp so feel like i've got this down, right now.

Today:

B: black coffee
L: two chicken drumsticks, mayo, cucumber, some corned beef
D: not sure yet (as usual) - will see how the day goes and then what ingreds we have. Maybe an omelette as I make a mean one.

We used to meal plan way better than this but we have so much going on right now. Maybe I'll plan next week's this weekend along with some batch cooking Halo

Keep going ladies, doing well!

FlowinElla · 18/05/2018 13:47

@HappyHoppy that looks tasty! I need to get some goat cheese.

Regarding drinks, I am a fan of cold brew ice coffee in the summer, but recently discovered cold brew green tea - just bung a couple of teabags in a jar of water overnight in the fridge, then serve with ice and possibly dilute if tastes too strong. It's smooth and refreshing!

Mueslibox · 18/05/2018 13:48

Omg have maybe turned a corner? Not hungry AT ALL!!! Normally with carbs, it’s like my mind knows I shouldn’t eat, but my body’s like mmmmm yum yum more more more. (Er- body normally wins...)

Now my mind is like ‘Come on! It’s LUNCH TIME!!!!’ And my body’s all ergh no thanks.

Is this the thing?!?

Eolian · 18/05/2018 14:10

Yes, this is the thing! I get that almost immediately on LCHF. I do eventually get hungry when I haven't eaten for hours, but in a much less urgent way than normal.

Today's meals:

B: egg and avocado
L: crayfish and avocado salad with smoked paprika, lemon juice and mayo
D: salmon and stir fry

I'm still finding it really hard to make myself drink enough water! I think I might try to drink more herbal tea.

MysteryNameChange · 18/05/2018 14:14

Flowers for the loss BIWI

Struggling here a bit - doing fine with the low carbing but struggling to get the opportunity to eat more than one meal a day and just picking the rest of the time. I feel like I spend all day running around trying to get stuff done with my 11 week old and 2 year old and i achieve nothing. The flat being a shit hole makes me feel stressed, but with the toddler feels impossible to clean and tidy. I know it's nothing really that bad but I'm beginning to feel very frazzled. I haven't eaten a meal with two hands in days Confused

I also never got round to weighing myself - haven't got scales at home so have to go to the chemists. Think it might be a good thing for me to just not weigh myself. Depressingly, I think my self worth is a bit too wrapped up with the number on the scales. I'm definitely shrinking though.

Anyway, I'm going out for a few hours tonight so hopefully that will recharge my batteries for a bit. Hides from BIWI I might even have a small glass of wine.

BrassicaBabe · 18/05/2018 14:18

Thanks for the bbq recipe Stunt. I've got some of the sweetener beginning with E. I might add a little of that. Thanks x

Lonesurvivor · 18/05/2018 14:43

Hopefully those of you struggling will see an improvement in the next day or two, it makes it so much easier when it passes.
I've a family party tomorrow and your posts are a good reminder not to risk eating carbs. There will be soup and bread but I'll bring my own low carb one, salads and hot food which will give me plenty of choice. The hard part will be avoiding desserts and tray bakes, they'll be everywhere and while I'm not missing sweet stuff I know it'll be plonked in front of me, but I've no intention of eating any. I made Oreo truffles today for it and wasn't tempted but had to keep stopping myself from mindlessly licking my fingers.

My kidney infection is clearing up, a couple of tops that were tight now fit and I got my hair done so missing out on desserts isn't even on my radar:)

Rshard · 18/05/2018 15:02

Your lunch looks lovely hoppy

RedPandaMama · 18/05/2018 15:12

DP wants to get a takeaway today, any ideas of what would be the least bad? I'm wondering about getting a grilled chicken kebab, chuck away the pitta so literally just grilled chicken, mayo and salad. That would be fine, right?
