Wow! This is the first time I've had to start a second thread this early!

Please continue to post all your meals, ideas, questions, woes, successes etc here!

I'm currently on a train Oop North with very dodgy wifi so can't guarantee I will see or be able to answer all your questions, but I'll do my best.

Also, tomorrow I'm at a funeral Sad so won't be around very much

Well done on completing your race @farine ! I am thinking about starting Couch 2 5k. Need to get my butt moving.

First weigh in after starting Bootcamp on Monday and I am so pleased, I've lost 4lb! 👍🏼👍🏼
Still have a long way to target but it's a bloody good start! 😊

Feeling positive going in to week too, missing my morning porridge but hey ho!!

BlackMozart · 20/05/2018 20:01

Well done to the runners!
BIWI that bbq menu looked v good.
We had bbq too. Among other things I bought pork steaks in lemon and pepper, and when I read the label at home realised in horror it was breadcrumbs. What I did next shows at least some commitment - I washed one for me under the tap no less! And stayed off the wine again 😇
I wish I felt more confident about weighing tomorrow. I do not feel like I’ve lost at all.

Ifonlyiweretaller · 20/05/2018 20:12

Not the best day yesterday (well actually, it was, because the Wedding was amazing!) but I crumbled somewhat food and drink wise. It's okay though, I am straight back on it.

Initially I wasn't gong to post, but decided I needed to admit to my mistakes. it was a blip - and we're all going to have those. This BC is definitely keeping me going. The scales may not show a loss tomorrow, but , at least they won't show a gain!

UnimaginativeUsername · 20/05/2018 20:28

I think I might have a go a C25K next week. I’ve started a Pilates class, which is great, but moving a bit more would be useful.

I always aim to go swimming but i usually spend more time sitting around in pools while DS2 trains than swimming. I think his new squad trains 2 nights a week at a pool with a training tank, so hopefully the main pool will be open and I can have a swim while he trains. I don’t know if the other pool is open for public swimming during his other 2 training sessions (or I could force myself to swim 4 times a week like he will be doing - it’s that or sit in the gallery staring at my phone twiddling my thumbs).

I’m also going to buy a bike and cycle to work once I move house. For all sorts of reasons this has not been possible while I was in a relationship with my ex. But once I’m in my own house (in a much better location) I’ll be able to cycle to work because I want to.

So bootcamp plus additional exercise should mean that I’m fit and toned by this time next year. Hopefully.

BlackMozart · 20/05/2018 20:47

unimaginative that is brilliant.

GiantPandaAttacks · 20/05/2018 21:07

Have stayed on track today but is anyone else really bloated? I’m drinking slightly more then my stated amount but currently looking pregnant very rounded - more so then before. Will this go at some point?

Mueslibox · 20/05/2018 21:10

unimagin what app or programme do you use for the c25k? i'd love to do something similar.

MysteryNameChange · 20/05/2018 21:11

@Laska5772

Tell me about homemade kefir.

No weighing here but down an inch on my waist Smile
And managed to fit in a particularly unforgiving size 14 jeans. Very muffin toppy but I got them on! I think my belly is still post partum swollen so hopefully I'll be in them properly in a few weeks.

Just had the loveliest meal - gammon, eggs and creamy cabbage wedges.

UnimaginativeUsername · 20/05/2018 21:13

@BlackMozart It will be once I’m actually doing it! Grin

I decided to post my excercise aspirations because a bit of accountability will definitely help me. I can’t swim while DS2 trains at the moment (because the pool is used exclusively for his club training at that time), but from June onwards I’m going to make sure that I swim when he does whenever possible.

Feel free to wave a stick at me if I get lazy about it! I really do want to be fitter and healthier (as well as thinner).

UnimaginativeUsername · 20/05/2018 21:15

I don’t know actually. I was just going to have a google. I just saw someone else mention it and thought, ‘now that’s a good idea!’

Any recommendations?

RuffleBelly · 20/05/2018 21:52

Well done @Farine that’s a great achievement to run a half when you are adapting to low carbs and it’s hot! Like I said I struggled with 5km Saturday and I regularly run much further than that!

We’ll I’ve done it, a whole week on attack with no cheating - the worst thing was a small bag of pork scratchings. I still worry about having too much cheese and I don’t feel any different so I’ll see what the scales say tomorrow.

Mimosa1 · 20/05/2018 22:01

Well done on the run @farine and @UnimaginativeUsername, great for posting your exercise aspirations. I'd love to cycle to work but I'm too scared - loads of traffic and trucks near me and I'm not a confident cyclist. I wish we had proper cycle lanes instead of sharing with the buses.

I've been taking magnesium for leg crapms,
And adding salt to things. @BIWI is there anything else you recommend? I'm feeling quite sore, like I've been exercising when i emphatically haven't been

Thank you

itchyknees · 20/05/2018 22:03

I’ve just had asparagus broccoli and peas with feta for tea. To be honest it was a bit odd.

UnimaginativeUsername · 20/05/2018 22:18

@Mimosa1 Once I’ve moved house, it’ll be a cycle path (nowhere near the road) for most of the way. That’s why I want to cycle.

Yarboosucks · 20/05/2018 22:26

Careful with peas - they are very carby.

Yarboosucks · 20/05/2018 22:27

DH looked on in horror as I was frying baby gems in butter, but then admitted they were very tasty.

UnimaginativeUsername · 20/05/2018 23:00

I hate peas anyway. Grin

PuddingAndHotMilk · 20/05/2018 23:57

muesli and Unimaginative I used an app called Ease into 5k and it was fab. Builds up over 8 weeks and you can play your music through it too. I've just finished the follow on Bridge to 10K

LeavingTheSandBehind · 21/05/2018 02:40

Morning all,

A very early weigh-in for me as I will be leaving for work shortly. I have lost 5lb this week. Absolutely thrilled! I have been successful with low-carving in the past and know it works but it seems have taken a looming big birthday to get my head in the right place.

Have a great day!

Rshard · 21/05/2018 04:54

The NHS’s couch to 5k app is a good one ^unimaginative*. I’ve got a competitive swimmer too so can relate to sitting poolside staring at my phone. I often run while dd trains, it’s different pools so different routes which I like.

GiantPandaAttacks · 21/05/2018 06:29

Happy weigh in day :) 5.2lb down for me, if someone can add it to the spreadsheet for me please :)

CodLiverOil556 · 21/05/2018 06:39

Happy weigh day everyone, I've lost 5lb really happy with this. @GiantPandaAttacks I've added your change

DelaneyHasAUseForMe · 21/05/2018 06:42

Well done on the half Farine - like Ruffle I really struggled with 5k at parkrun on Saturday and was about 3 minutes slower than usual...hopefully that will improve as my body adjusts. Keep telling myself it will be worth it though!!

I am a bit stunned after my weigh in this morning actually....7lbs off ShockI'm wondering if my scales can be right, that's a lot to lose in a week, I was thinking I'd probably lose 10lbs over the entire BC. I guess it's mostly water that I've lost but I'm pretty pleased with how it's going. Am slowly adjusting to the LCHF eating and appetite has definitely reduced.

Good luck to everyone weighing themselves today Smile

AthelstaneTheUnready · 21/05/2018 06:45

Morning all. 4lbs off for me - may not be a dramatic first week like some, but on my second BC now, so in a way, quite good that I didn't have the initial water/glycogen whoosh!.

In bad news, I hurt my back getting out of the car yesterday, and now cannot straighten up. As in, little old witch bent almost double tottering around the house clutching two walking poles to get anywhere. Epsom salts, hot bath, neurofen, and a night's sleep have not helped at all - any advice from anyone with backs out there very welcome!!!!!

I have a job interview on Wednesday, and cannot arrive as the Wicked Witch of the West.

p.s. unimaginative, yes my poo went green for 4 days. Quite a pretty vivid Christmas green.

wherehavealltheflowersgone · 21/05/2018 06:56

Morning 2lb off for me which I'll take considering my transgressions over the weekend! please can someone add that to the spreadsheet?
