Wow! This is the first time I've had to start a second thread this early!

Please continue to post all your meals, ideas, questions, woes, successes etc here!

I'm currently on a train Oop North with very dodgy wifi so can't guarantee I will see or be able to answer all your questions, but I'll do my best.

Also, tomorrow I'm at a funeral Sad so won't be around very much

I've added you, where!

Rshard · 21/05/2018 07:02

Some great losses - well done!

Ouch athle, my dh suffers and he tries to get a course of anti inflammatory tablets in him as this relieves his pain and allows him to function a bit more normally which in turn helps the back -iyswim?

RuffleBelly · 21/05/2018 07:09

Muesli and Unimaginative The NHS C25K is great, I've followed it twice (once when I started running and once after my DD when I hadn't run for a year). If you follow it then you will be doing 5k at the end, it really does work - from not being able to run for 1 minute and always saying that I just wasn't a runner I've now run a marathon and regularly do half marathons (to the point that I don't need to train for a half anymore, it's a distance I run every three weeks or so).

www.nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/couch-to-5k-week-by-week/

I just programmed the runs into a free app called Runkeeper which will bleep at you when you need to walk and run and can track your progress cumulatively.

So weight loss .....

7lbs!!!! I'm astounded, it is the most I have ever lost in a week. I know it is going to be largely water loss but it is still nice seeing the scales that 'low' and a 3lbs loss next week will put me in a new stone bracket which is always a nice milestone (excuse the pun). I've stuck to the diet religiously without cheating - the worst thing I've had is a tin of tomatoes used to made a sauce base (shared between four and choosing the best tinned tomatoes I could find in terms of LC). Oh and probably too much cheese!

Thank you everyone but in particular @BIWI for all the support. Now onto week 2 and continuing to stick to it!

JuneBalloon · 21/05/2018 07:09

@AthelstaneTheUnready Ouch!!! Sounds like a spasm - my DH gets them a lot! Alternating heat and cold helps - and walking (even though it's the last thing you feel like doing). Hope it's better soon and good luck for the interview.

Does anyone know if there will be a new Week 2 thread or will we just continue with this one?

Waswittyonce · 21/05/2018 07:11

2lb loss for me. please could somebody put it on the spreadsheet for me as I've only got my tiny phone and I'm visually challenged this morning due to getting poked in the eye while gardening the other day.
Really sorry you've hurt your back @AthelstaneTheUnready I've had back problems for years and used to go to a really brilliant osteopath who helped enormously. If you're on Facebook and have a local page you could ask on there for recommendations, I've found our local FB page invaluable as we've recently moved to a new area where we know no one and have asked all sorts on there, have received replies in minutes it's been really good and has made me feel quite welcome.

randomuntrainedcuntowner · 21/05/2018 07:20

Well done everyone on their losses, don't have time to read too far back as rushing as per, but 4.1lb off with me so chuffed with that - have had better losses first week of lc before, but I have been a bit naughty and had a few drinks and ate out a couple of times, but still tried to make the best choices I could. Now just hope it doesn't slow down to much!

In other news, I have had a poo! 😂🍾👍👊💪🏾💃🏅🎊🎉

maxthemartian · 21/05/2018 07:21

I'm 4.8lb down this morning. Quite pleased as I only started on Thursday.

What I'm struggling with at the moment is waking up several times a night needing a huge wee, then waking up in the morning as parched as the Sahara. Anyone know when this is likely to settle and I become able to actually retain fluid again rather than weeing it all out?

BIWI · 21/05/2018 07:23

Awesome kermit thank you :)

MelanieCheeks · 21/05/2018 07:39

2lb off. I'll take a slow and steady loss, happily.

I've been surprised by my positive mood, my good quality of sleep, and being able to get through a weekend without alcohol. Hey, it's just a habit.

Well done all, some great losses and positive stories!

wherehavealltheflowersgone · 21/05/2018 07:42

Thank you @AthelstaneTheUnready Flowers

Morning all, congratulations on the weight loss!

I lost a huge amount for me last week so I wasn't surprised I stayed the same this week, impressed after my gin-fest.

BUT!!!

I have lost 4.5ins off my waist in 2 weeks and .5ins in my hips.

Glad I took measurements otherwise I would have been really upset today.

Iamnotacerealkiller · 21/05/2018 08:58

If you have or can find a tense machine, this saved me when i did my back in. Otherwise alternate paracetamol (to stop spasms) and ibuprofen (to reduce inflamation) even if they dont help with the pain much!

5.5lb off for the week! very pleased with that. im now down to 13st 3 which was my highest ever weight prior to having my baby so i know i can do it from here as have done it before!!

on to the next week! unfortunatly have a beer festival to navigate on thursday!! might just have to have nothing and go for the social interaction.

ClaudiaNaughton · 21/05/2018 11:41

2lbs off. Would someone be kind and put it on spreadsheet?
