Afternoon all.

Really sorry for starting the new thread so late - I had an early start this morning, and travel problems meant I didn't have to time to set this up before my first meeting.

Anyway, here's the spreadsheet.

Good luck in this last week!

Good plan somuch, I was thinking M&S tuna pate and crudités

BIWI · 13/12/2017 13:56

Came across a recipe for keto pizza, which is only 7g per serving.

I wonder if it's as good as Fathead Pizza BIWI. I was a bit taken aback at the whey isolate unflavoured protein powder ingredient. Not something I have hanging around my kitchen as a rule!

Well done ASD and hippa
Been a long road. Have fun finding out your all new food favorites. As others have mentioned after a little carb a few pounds pop on. So from all the ups and downs over your weight loss journey. You will have seen and experienced it for yourself. So don't panic if the scale jumps up 5 or 6 lbs
Overnight whilst you experiment with foods.

Grimbles · 13/12/2017 17:49

Evening all! I appear to be another 2lbs lighter this morning, although I suspect that the pavlova yesterday may cancel that out soon. Out of interest, how long does it usually take for carby twatdom to show on the scales? I'm not going to claim it yet just in case!

I've not had too much today, DS had his Christmas play this evening and asked to have pizza for tea so I ordered myself some meatballs and hotwings Couldn't find any info about carbs on them but they seemed the least worst option Confused

upsidedown2017 · 13/12/2017 18:48

Starting tomorrow and you're all inspiring me! Praying I can do this. I haven't started a diet for more than than 7 years 😬 But must have said I'll start tomorrow over 1,000 times. I've got to tomorrow. 🤞🤞

BlackMozart · 13/12/2017 19:41

Good luck upsidedown. Loads of support here. ASD that is an extraordinary achievement. Huge congrats and respect to you. 👏

Picked up eldest DD from Uni today. Lovely to have her home for Christmas so finally we will get a tree this weekend as she loves to do the decorating of it with youngest DD.
B 1 fried egg 2 bacon coffee
No lunch because travelling
S slice of Gouda, two coffees
D I made a crustless quiche with onion and aubergine and a little bit of chorizo. Served with lettuce and avocado and a blob of mayo.
Coffee and 2 squares of 85% choc

No water. I am useless and need to get a grip.

starsky22 · 13/12/2017 20:04

ASD 8 stone! Bloody hell that's amazing! StarStar

C4 Hope you can improve on the 12 mins tomorrow, you got this!

Welcome upsidedown look at the spreadsheet on the first post for lots of info and jump right in!

upsidedown2017 · 13/12/2017 20:47

@starsky22 @BlackMozart thank you! I'll be back here posting tomorrow 🙏🏻

Rshard · 13/12/2017 20:58

Welcome upside!

princessbear80 · 13/12/2017 21:03

Congrats Hippa and ASD! Flowers

I always read the thread but it’s usually so fast moving I don’t post as I feel like I can’t keep up with mentioning PPs and their achievements- don’t want it to look like I’m ignoring them! Anyway, as it’s gone a little quieter lately I can comment.

I wonder how many people are still here at (almost) the end, even if they’re not posting. It’s such a tricky time of year. There were so many treats in my office today, so hard to resist. But I have earmarked two treat days in the run up to Christmas, so I’m holding out for those.

B- never seem to be hungry anymore, which on the days I need to go into the office like today is a bonus as it means I can leave the house quicker!
L - leftovers from last night - a month ah mash of chicken thighs with all sorts of veg cooked in the oven with a big glug of olive oil
D - salmon with courgette and spinach all fried in butter
Lots of water

princessbear80 · 13/12/2017 21:07

C4 wishing you health Flowers

Welcome upside, I hope this works for you! I’ve found it to be the most effective and easy to stick to way of eating ever!

prettybird · 13/12/2017 21:30

Survived(ish) the Christmas lunch yesterday which was lovely Xmas Smile

Had gin smoked salmon to start, then ballotine of stuffed turkey wrapped in Parma ham. Hardly ate any of the stuffing (just a wee taste) and didn't touch the pomme Dauphinoise and just ate the veg.

Went off-piste with the dessert: couldn't resist the orange marmalade ice cream & orange custard with the Christmas pudding. Only ate half the serving of Christmas pudding - should have asked for extra ice cream rather than the pudding.

Had the "free" glass of wine and then just a taste of the red wine that we had.

Got lots of compliments from the ladies about how much weight I've lost and how good I was looking Xmas Grin (NB: they're used to seeing me arrive at the Pilates class in cycling gear with helmet hair, so had never seen me dolled up Xmas Wink).

Took my dad to the airport in the early evening (which had been an incentive not to drink - especially as the limit in Scotland is so low) and had an interesting chat with him about this WoE. He wanted to find out more and will try it when he gets back in February as he wants to lose a wee bit of weight as well as eat healthier. He WhatsApped me from the airport to say there was nothing HFLC in Departures Xmas Shock I replied saying "Smoked Salmon" Xmas Wink Woke up to a message from him early this morning saying "No smoked salmon in Dubai either" Xmas Grin

What's impressed me is that Dad is a cynical medic who used to laugh slightly at mum's "diets" (while still being supportive). He's also recently changed to full fat milk "because of the research".

Was down to 12 stone 2.5lb yesterday and was 12 stone 3lb this morning - but didn't have nearly enough water yesterday.

blackteaplease · 13/12/2017 21:44

A much better food day for me, and a loss on the scales.

Today's lunch was a chicken and mozzarella salad and a pack of pork scratching as the salad was v low fat. Bought from a food van.

Dinner was Bolognese with shredded iceberg lettuce and cheese.

Rshard · 13/12/2017 21:48

Sounds like you navigated the Christmas lunch expertly prettybird. Really interested to hear that your dad is going to give lchf a go - good for him!

Have you tried courgette spirals cooked in butter with bolognaise blacktea? It’s so good! I also had with chicken curry the other night.

prettybird · 13/12/2017 22:32

I'm really quite chuffed at my dad. He's been impressed at the weight that I've lost - having been too diplomatic to comment on my weight gain (except for a gently should I think about getting my thyroid function checked? just before he went off to SA in May Blush) - so was interested to find out how I've done and am still doing it Smile

He's a very young almost 81 year old Grin (birthday on Christmas Day Xmas Smile)

blackteaplease · 14/12/2017 05:26

I had put all of the courgette in the sauce, usually I do ribbons with the peeler to serve with Bolognese. Lettuce isn't a bad alternative if its finely shredded.

FurryTurnip · 14/12/2017 06:05

Welcome Upside good luck with your first day!

Everyone is doing really well navigating Christmas dinners and evenings out, impressive to see!

Almahart · 14/12/2017 06:52

I've got my work Christmas lunch today but a finding I am putting a pound or two on and then losing it over a coupe if days (this will be my third Christmas meal out!)

Hovering around the weight I set for this BC so quite happy

Amazing losses on this thread ^ASS* yours is phenomenal!

Almahart · 14/12/2017 06:53

ASD not ASS

upsidedown2017 · 14/12/2017 06:58

Well I'm up, have been up an hour and haven't eaten as full of cold and feel pretty lousy. I have an omelette planned for when I feel like it later.

Can any of you recommend any accurate scales? The reviews on amazon seem to be hit and miss for all of them. Figure It might be helpful to monitor and weight loss along the way.

Rshard · 14/12/2017 08:31

I use the scales st boots upside, I’d be on them all the time if I had a set at home!
