Perfect, thanks, sos.

ilovecherries · 05/12/2017 11:25

I have neck tendons. Several of them. Who knew?

Scabbersley · 05/12/2017 11:25

Croissantgate Grin Grin Grin

I just needed to work through some issues there. I am so a reformed character Grin

holger still not sure! She wants something very delicate and some of the georg jensen pieces look a bit heavy for her. Still leaning towards Tiffany but deffo not the infinity symbol as she has told me that is completely 'basic' which is not good apparently!

HolgerDanske · 05/12/2017 11:29

The daisy pieces might be quite nice? A ring and a bracelet is on my list for someday when I haven’t already spent it on bag or shoes or scarf😒

I am shopping vicariously through you 😆

Scabbersley · 05/12/2017 11:30
Grin

I know she doesn't like the daisies

she's very tricky Hmm

HolgerDanske · 05/12/2017 11:31

I do actually really like the sphere Tiffany pieces. Don’t know what they’re called but I think a beautiful globe on a necklace is a very pretty and classic design.

Sigh. I want to go shopping so badly right now...

HolgerDanske · 05/12/2017 11:32

Well I hope you find just the right thing. It’s nice that you’re letting her choose, that’s what I would do too.

Scabbersley · 05/12/2017 11:34

Thank you Smile

I think she needs to choose really as she's quite fussy and I want it to be something that she'll wear. She's thrilled by the concept of getting a lovely necklace Smile

GailLondon · 05/12/2017 11:41

100g of Marmite is loads though! I get those mini individual portions of marmite at my work canteen and they are 8g, so only 1.5g of carbs, and I find that quite a generous portion size tbh so probably only eat about 2/3 of it.
Tesco sell the mini babybel sized marmite flavoured cheeses! I get those quite often :)

Scabbersley · 05/12/2017 11:47

marmite cheese is a thing of joy

FurryTurnip · 05/12/2017 12:27

Greetings bootcampers.

Today's food:

B: mushroom omelette
L: broccoli and Stilton soup
D: cauliflower cheese, roast celeriac, brocolli
S: 2 pieces of dark chocolate, which I am currently enjoying with a cup of tea after getting back from a fast 10 mile walk.

Glad I avoided the Pringles last night, good to have the support on here. And what a difference a day makes as I couldn't care less about them today, cravings have gone.

ClearEyesFullHearts · 05/12/2017 12:27

100g of Marmite is loads though!

Good point, Gail. I think I'm so programmed to look for "3-4 grams" per hundred with veg that I didn't think it through. Grin

blackteaplease · 05/12/2017 12:56

I'm doing well so far today, avoided birthday cake and mince pies at toddlers but did eat half a small camembert as a snack when I got home.

Breakfast was berries and yogurt, and I'm currently making shepherds pie for tea.

SecretSix · 05/12/2017 13:07

Hi SayrraT and Scabbers I will try very hard to do without either! And croissants 😩 I’m sticking to it for lunch, first time it’s not been a sandwich in years. It’s a start...

blackteaplease · 05/12/2017 13:19

Forgot to log my lunch today,
3 hard boiled eggs mashed with butter, 2 rashers streaky bacon, cherry tomatoes and iceberg lettuce all mixed with mayo. Warm and filling, just what I needed after walking home at toddler pace!

SayrraT · 05/12/2017 13:39

Well done secret you'll thank us for it Grin what are you having instead. I had yummy cream of celery soup.

DrDiva · 05/12/2017 13:42

Gudday everyone. Just for a change I am sick again. Hmm This time with agonising throat, glands and ears which means I can’t eat much. Tell you what, the weight is just sliding off at the moment!

I’m hoping to be able to do the January BC properly without resorting to quite such desperate measures!

SoMuchToBits · 05/12/2017 13:55

Oh dear, DrDiva, good that you're losing weight, but sorry to hear why!

I sometimes have a small amount of marmite in hot water if I want a savoury drink. I did check the carb count before using, and reckoned the amount I was using wouldn't be too much.

ilovecherries · 05/12/2017 14:10

Flowers to all poorly people. I was in hotel chocolat getting some stocking fillers and they were circulating with trays of samples. I realised after that I'd said 'no not for me thanks' and moved on without even giving it a thought. Feels amazing :). I also needed a new belt today. Like prettybird I got plaited leather, because my last one only lasted three months from loosest to tightest hole :).

Rshard · 05/12/2017 14:47

Hope all the poorly people are feeling better soon Flowers

ilove I did similar in the office today when there was a box of samosas - didn’t enter my head

prettybird · 05/12/2017 15:04

Need to get in to a laptop but I have 0.5lb to report - down to 12 stone 4.5lb Smile. Up 0.5lb from the end of last week - but from what I've read, a bit of a rebound from an egg fast is to be expected.

4.75lb to go by Christmas - tough ask but I'll keep trying Xmas Grin

If I can lose 3.5lb by the end of this Boot Camp, I'll have lost 40lb since I started in May Smile

Secret - one of the reasons for being so strict on "ordinary" carbs is so that those carbs that you do eat are healthier, as they are made up of vegetables. For every slice of bread or croissant that you have, that's that amount of equivalent carbs in veg you can't have Sad. And one of the good things about this WoE is that you don't need to count carbs, as if you are following the Rules and having sufficient fat, you should be full before you've had too many carbs.

SecretSix · 05/12/2017 15:57

Thanks, I’ll try! I had mackerel with salad leaves, celery pieces with some cream cheese and a small piece of cheddar. No balsamic vinegar! I have some fresh salmon in the fridge for tea, lots of veg with it I guess as we’d usually have noodles. DP might still but I won’t. I ought to have bought some courgettes and dug out the spiralizer.

SoMuchToBits · 05/12/2017 17:04

Secret, salmon and veg sounds great - if you add some fat (cook the salmon and/or veg in butter or oil, or add butter to the veg afterwards) it will help to fill you up and you won't miss the noodles. Smile

SecretSix · 05/12/2017 17:15

SoMuch I was wondering how to get the fat in there! Thanks for the tip.

prettybird · 05/12/2017 17:33

I slice courgette thinly (using a cheese slice and discarding the centre, watery, seedy bit) and fry it in butter. It doesn't take long and is very tasty Smile

Or you can join us in our brussel sprout addiction: microwaved for c2 mins with a slab of butter, shoogled technical term Wink, and then microwaved for another c2 minutes. Season with salt & pepper (or Lo-salt if you have it - its potassium is beneficial). They are surprisingly sweet. I even like to snack on them - hot or cold! Grin
