Morning all

Sorry for the later start than usual

Here's the Spreadsheet .

So our last two weeks - time, if you wanted, to go back to Bootcamp proper and really make sure you maximise the chances of losing another few pounds.

Good luck all Flowers

BlackMozart - could you donate some of the stuff in your pantry to a Food Bank? That way it's removed from temptation and you're giving to those more needy than you.

BlackMozart · 08/12/2017 21:25

prettybird it’s lighterlife stuff so I hadn’t even considered a food bank but maybe either that or finding someone who is doing it that could use it. The person l met yesterday is now off it and trying to eat proper food again. Thanks for the suggestion.

Scabbersley · 08/12/2017 22:48

Evening all
Very much enjoyed my fathead pizza. Have had a very low carb day so also having a couple of glasses of red and watching a film by the fire. Not expecting to stay in the 11s on Monday but am definitely hovering around.

BerylStreep · 08/12/2017 22:49

Prettybird I swear by Gerry Webber jeans. The Romy cut have a really high waist and have a satisfying amount of stretch.

prettybird · 08/12/2017 23:07

Beryl - how much are they? Don't want to spend too much while I am consistently losing weight and I hope transiting through the sizes Wink

Thiswillbemyusername · 09/12/2017 08:36

Morning all :) I have a lb that just won't budge. I put it on last weekend and I've been keeping low carb all week. Very frustrating!

Scabbersley · 09/12/2017 15:09

Hey all. Black coffee and a pack of pork scratchings so far today Shock Grin

Absolutely not hungry at all.

BrassicaBabe · 09/12/2017 18:00

I need talking down! Weight has been stagnant and hard work for a fortnight despite staying in track AND exercising. No really, I haven't exercised for decades! Today I had half a chicken baguette, chicken nuggets and some sweets at a kids party. First proper carb slip up since half term in October which was borderline planned. Now DH has gone to fish and chip shop for him and the kids. I'm not planning on having any. I'm wavering between not eating much to compensate for bread and excess calories earlier which may in itself lead to a mess if I get hungry and doing the typical "I've fucked the day up I may as well throw myself into a well of food and carbs" which will only make me feel rubbish on the scales tomorrow.

At 44 and having dieted since I was about 17 I feel my metabolism is absolutely knackered and I need so few cals it's a hard old slog to lose weight.

Talk me down from my pity party and the urge to sabotage! I've gone from 11.3 to 10.6 (was 10.4 Angry) on BC plus a few weeks head start.

ASDismynormality · 09/12/2017 18:15

BrassicaBabe. No more carbs! Draw a line under it and carry on with bootcamp. It's normal to stagnate, my weight certainly has at times - at some points recently the app I use to teach my weight has shown me it's going to take 2 years + to lose weight or that the trend shows I'm not losing at all! But after staying around the same weight for a while the scales moved again. If you stick to the plan you will lose, go back to eating lots of carbs and you will gain!
Have added my chart to show the stall and subsequent loss (am hoping the loss sticks!).

Absolutely, draw a line and get right back on it. Don't punish yourself through deprivation tonight, don't hate yourself. Have something LCHF to eat if you are hungry, have a big drink, and try and do something nice for yourself this evening. What you've experienced with your weight isn't even a stall as such, and it was just a recalibration and if you stick to the woe it will start to head down again. You didn't put it on at an even rate, you don't take it off that way either. You can do it :)

FurryTurnip · 09/12/2017 20:07

Keep going Brassica. I've had some similar slips this week, but am trying hard not to get in to 'all or nothing' thinking. A small blip will not ruin everything and you are not going to put back on all the weight you have lost. Get back on the bus, move on, you can do this. You know you can, because you've already done it!

BlackMozart · 09/12/2017 20:35

Lots of support coming your way Brassicababe. I was feeling down about it all yesterday but we can do this.

I went on my ‘Christmas Breads’ cookery course today and it was brilliant. There were only 5 of us in the class so it was really relaxed and a lot of fun. I have a freezer full now of some lovely enriched breads for Christmas including Stollen, Brioche and Fougasse - mainly for family and friends - and managed today to taste only a little piece of a seeded roll and a chocolate crown as well as a few teaspoons of lemon posset which now tastes soooo sweet. It was a great birthday present and my DB and I are going to do another one in the Spring sometime.

Back to a tea of cheese and meat and one glass of red and the Strictly semi-final. What a day 😀

Scabbersley · 09/12/2017 20:39

Finally ate. Half a protein roll with chili oil and salt, then a ribeye steak with lettuce and mayo.
I have a glass of wine and some 95% chocolate which is a bit horrible!

Grimbles · 09/12/2017 20:52

You'll be on a 16:8 fast before you know it scabbers Wink

prettybird · 09/12/2017 21:35

Sounds brilliant BlackMozart - I'm well jell Envy

I run a wee Facebook group called "Strictly BitchPod": we managed 831 posts and counting on the OP thread tonight Shock The name is pretty indicative of the tone of the group - although we do comment constructively where appropriate Wink - and specifically about WTFWTACBW ( "What The Fuck Will Tess and Claudia Be Wearing" Grin)

Scabbersley - was that the Lidl 95% chocolate? It's foul Envy (

ilovecherries · 09/12/2017 21:46

Am I the only one who loves 95% chocolate?

prettybird · 09/12/2017 22:06

It's not that I don't like 95% chocolate (I particularly like the Lindt 90% chocolate - and I'm sure if I found other good quality chocolate at a higher cocoa level I'd like it) - but it's just that the Lidl stuff is foul Sad

BerylStreep · 09/12/2017 22:48

Prettybird I buy Gerry Weber jeans in the sale, I think I usually pay about £40 instead of £90.**

Thiswillbemyusername · 10/12/2017 08:02

I 'dived head first into the biscuit tin', as it were. It started off with one iced bun (I thought I'd test the waters) and ended up with 4 cherry bakewells along side it Shock at least they're gone, and it's triggered a small loss, of all things! I don't find myself carb craving too much this morning.

Now I know to stay away from the sweet treats Blush

JumpingintoLCHF · 10/12/2017 08:06

What happens after the bc ends? Do people keep these threads going for moral support?!

Rshard · 10/12/2017 08:35

I think there’s usually a thread between boot camps

BIWI · 10/12/2017 08:46

@JumpingintoLCHF we keep the last chat thread going, then start a new one until the next Bootcamp starts.

Always plenty of support here!

JumpingintoLCHF · 10/12/2017 08:57

Thanks that's good to know.

BlackMozart · 10/12/2017 10:00

Yes definitely a relief to know people will still be here.

We’re snowed in pretty much! How about others?

SoMuchToBits · 10/12/2017 10:09

A couple of hours ago it was raining with a bit of sleet mixed in, but now it has turned to snow, and is actually settling on the ground! Fortunately I don't have to go out anywhere today, so I can enjoy looking at it from my nice warm house! (I'm in Suffolk).
