Morning all.

It's horribly wet and windy here Darn Sarf - bit of a washout this Easter weekend.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for one last time

Not sure how many hardy souls there are left, but hopefully those of you who have stuck the course have had good results.

Once we get to the end of this week, I'll start a general chat thread so that we can carry on logging food, sharing thoughts, asking questions etc.

Not sure when the next Bootcamp will be, but we can use the next thread to keep us going until then, if you want to stay.

Hi guys, I've started following the boot am rules on my own and it's going quite well. Quick question - I have been eating chicken curry made with tomatoes but I'm getting the impression that tomatoes aren't good. What do you all replace them with? Thank you.

feekerry · 28/04/2016 17:52

nekobus I thought it was okay ish. A decent enough intro but not quite what I love about GOT. Next episode trailer looks epic so fingers crossed.

I had 2 c sec in less than 2 years so my skin is somewhat 'different' lol on my stomach... Ain't no hope in that getting better but if I could lose the roll of fat it would improve lol!!'

wombattoo · 29/04/2016 17:12

Soggy Tomatoes are a bit carby. I think Sainsbury's tinned ones are the lowest. I've always used them a bit. When you divide what you use it doesn't work out much per portion.
Good luck Thanks

AuntieMaggie · 01/05/2016 15:21

How is everyone doing? I seem to have developed a thing for prawns in gem lettuce for lunch though they are a bit messy when you're having a picnic and running around after dc!

I'm feeling sorry for myself as I went to a party Fri night and was good - didn't touch the buffet or even the cake and then yesterday came down with D&V. Feeling crap today and craving sweet carby stuff but stuck to scrambled egg. Ugh.

BIWI · 01/05/2016 15:22

Sorry to hear you're poorly, AuntieMaggie Sad

Carby bank hol here so boot camp couldn't come sooner for me!
Looks like weather warning up massively here in coming weeks which helps a lot
Supposed to be 21degrees here by weekend Grin

AuntieMaggie · 05/05/2016 21:53

Been so warm today Grin

I'm still here plodding on. I lost another kilo or so with the ubercamp last week but hard to tell how much because of the fluctuation when I was ill. Will ubercamp again next week. I seem to be having ubercamp Bfast and lunches anyway and my appetite is next to nothing. I want another stone off in the next 2 months so finger crossed!

Back to the gym again tomorrow. I did tao chi for the first time since having ds last night and my muscles ache today!

wombattoo · 06/05/2016 19:45

Sounds like you are doing well Auntie
I've been struggling but getting back on board on monday

lexloofah · 09/05/2016 12:57

wombat, I am back on from today too, no more messing around and letting things slide. Just ordered some summer clothes as motivation

I love all the lc food but also like my choc a bit too much

Plus DH is away so tending to eat what DCs are having which is sometimes lc, sometimes not so much

no more excuses though, I am so close I just need to get on with it

interesting sugar addition article you posted on the other thread BIWI, scary really

AuntieMaggie · 09/05/2016 13:06

I've stalled again Sad blaming my hormones though I wonder if i'm having enough fat... Anyway I'm ubercamping again for the next 3 days so today is:

Scrambled egg and mushrooms in butter
Prawns, lettuce, cucumber, mayo and avocado
Some sort of meat with brocolli and spinach

Good luck Lex we can do this!

wombattoo · 09/05/2016 16:56

Auntie Your meals sound nice.

C'mon Lex Let's crack this. I'm going away the first week in July and a stone off would be fantastic.
B: Slices of smoked salmon, a hard boiled egg and hm mayo
L: Chicken, courgette and aubergine curry
D: Roasted belly pork and cabbage.
S: Crispy pork strips.

Loads of water

lexloofah · 09/05/2016 20:42

auntie and wombat thanks for motivation, I am aiming for half a stone although a stone of course would be very welcome

both of your days meals sound lovely, I need to get some pork belly

ChesterDrawers · 10/05/2016 09:15

Helllooooooo Hope everyone is doing ok?

Been rubbish but back on the plan - day 2 now. Want to lose half a stone two stone in six weeks before my 40th. Got one bad weekend on the horizon but no excuse other than that.

Today:
B: Tesco finest Greek yog - amazing, if you can find the full fat one.
L: Chicken, avocado, hm pesto mayo, salad
D: Black Farmer sausages, swede mash, roast broccoli and asparagus, dollop of mayo

Might have a bulletproof decaff tonight to up my fat and keep me away from the gin!

lexloofah · 10/05/2016 11:16

Hi chester, that's a good goal to aim for, I missed my 'fit not fat for 40' pledge, got there for 41 though thanks to bootcamp!

shaping up to be a good day after a start of salmon and eggs: whole chicken in the slow cooker for tea and 5 spice ducks legs roasting in the oven for lunch

wombattoo · 10/05/2016 17:03

Hi Chester and all Grin
Same meals as yesterday but dinner was roasted pork ribs.

I've been eating a new Mr Porky snack called Crispy strips. They are like pork scratchings but lower in fat. They have virtually no carbs but a long list of ingredients, including dextrose. They are delicious but I'm worried about the dextrose. Ingredients show a low trace of sugar.
Has anyone else tried them? I think I will give them up as I'm cutting out sugar.

ChesterDrawers · 11/05/2016 11:30

No idea about the snacks Wombat but they sound good Grin I have the Midlands Pork Crunch which has dextrose listed but

wombattoo · 11/05/2016 16:54

B: Smoked salmon slices with cream cheese and hard boiled egg
L: The same curry
D: Chicken thighs with a peri peri rub and salad.

Foolishly 3 chocolate biscuits. Why do I keep doing it Angry

lexloofah · 12/05/2016 14:18

wombat, you could make your own scratchings without any sugar or preservatives etc other than salt. sorry no answer on the biscuits, I find myself in the same mindset sometimes, it is frustrating isn't it?

yesterday I made lemon cake from a recipe posted on the last BC, really lovely, had some earlier spread with butter with a cuppa

cauli pizza later, hopefully can make extra bases for the freezer to be prepared for BC

wombattoo · 12/05/2016 17:36

Thanks Lex. I've tried that using pork skin from Morrisons. It's never been very successful Blush
I will have another go.

lexloofah · 13/05/2016 09:36

wombat I am sure Gcal or chester can help with that one, sure they have posted about crackling before or stuntnun if she is still lurking in all her maintaining glory!
