Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for your delectation.

It sounds like there might be some good results, and I'm looking forward to hearing those.

OP posts:
BestIsWest · 19/10/2015 07:36

3lbs off for me which is fab. More water, less dairy this week. I can easily get into the habit of eating too much Greek yoghurt.

HildaFlorence · 19/10/2015 07:41

Would it be OK to join a week late , was away on conference last week and it would have been impossible .Have done a little bit of low carbing before but need more discipline / rules !

desperatelyseekingamovingdate · 19/10/2015 07:42

Morning all - happy week 2. I am feeling fab, no tummy issues, achy joints etc. I am back in the swing of the woe and feeling hopeful. I havent weighed myself as it makes me demented but tummy def slimmer and jeans looser.

Good luck today SayraT - all the LC-ers are wishing you luck today.

Hope the scales are kind to everyone.

StoneFoxMama · 19/10/2015 07:55

I'm just waiting to wee out my supersized coffee before I weigh Grin

parsnipenjoyer · 19/10/2015 08:03

1.2lbs down which is fab as I only have a couple to lose. But tbh I've been BC-lite-img really (too much wine!) so am going to be much more strict this week in case the WI was a fluke! Also I have a tendency to overdo the cheese between meals so my aim this week is to reign that in as well as follow strict BC. Well done on the great losses so far!

parsnipenjoyer · 19/10/2015 08:09

*rein. whoops. Distracted by cheese.

ijustwanttobeme · 19/10/2015 08:42

Stayed the same. Not the result I was after, but no ones fault but mine.

So far today I have had

B: coffee, half an avocado
L: will be cheese and salami rolled up with some salad, and a Greek yoghurt
D: away from home today, so will be the best LC option on the room service menu, although if I ate out it'd probably be easier. Don't fancy being a Larry Loner solo diner though wimp

Balonder · 19/10/2015 08:42

Down 3lbs which I am happy with though I had a sneaky weigh on Friday which showed a 5lb loss so I relaxed a bit at the weekend. Definitely back on the straight and narrow this week

Huntthepigsear · 19/10/2015 08:59

Congratulations on all the weight losses. Flowers all round, and to those that didn't lose even more Flowers
I lost 2lbs (and lost 2.4lbs the week before doing BC lite) and am very happy with that. My goal is to lose 10lbs in 10 weeks, so that gives me a spare pound for when I have a week when I stall.

Food today:
B - hb egg and avocado, 2 coffee with cream
L - hm broccoli and Stilton soup
D - probably prawn or chicken (or both!) stir fry

glenthebattleostrich · 19/10/2015 09:02

1.2lb down.

Not bad considering I've been I'll and the only thing which soothed my very sore throat was honey with lemon. I couldn't even drink plain water until the drugs kicked in :(

But, feeling much better now so back on strict plan.

Food today will be -

B 3 x tea with coconut oil and cream. Little bowl FF Greek yogurt
L halloomi salad
T belly pork with green beans
S pork scratchings (if needed)

Well done on some brilliant loses, good luck for this week and hope SayraT has a good day today.

BestIsWest · 19/10/2015 09:08

Yes good luck to Sayra

RomiiRoo · 19/10/2015 09:08

Flowers for new thread Biwi. I was away last week, so not much time to post. I am pleased to say that I am 2lb down, so clearly I think even cutting out the minor carby transgressions makes a difference. I am trying to get back down to my lowest interim BC weight, in a sustainable manner, which is only a couple more pounds - but the key is sustaining it!

I've also done a week meat-free (didn't quite manage to go completely vegetarian, as I had mackerel in the fridge to use up) but I'm liking it so far.

Good luck to everyone else weighing today, and well done if you have lost! And all the best with the viva, Sayrra!

Kleptronic · 19/10/2015 09:19

5lb down. Very happy, because after putting on 6lb in 4 days, 5lb off in 6 will do for me. Just goes to show it was water - reckon I'm back in ketosis now and the glycogen/water has all been used.
Messed up on the weekend too with peas and carrots, mustn't let people cook for me!

StoneFoxMama · 19/10/2015 09:20

2lbs down, which I already knew from a sneaky midweek weigh, very happy as only 4/5 to lose now.

Today
Double cream latte
Avocado, cherry tom, bacon, brie salad
Leftover pheasant with swede and parmesan dauphinoise

Liveinthepresent · 19/10/2015 09:48

Well done weighers!
Good luck Sayra
My scales were definitely not kind - they refused to sodding work !!
They are ancient so I am now toying with ordering some swanky high tech ones. ( though it might just be the batteries need replacing!)

Will probably wait to weigh until next week now and try to be really good.
I cooked a large IPD low carb moussaka last night so that's definitely dinner sorted - might have it for lunch too.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 19/10/2015 09:53

All right, I've started properly.
Today:
B - slice of cold turkey, slice of cheese
L - half a halloumi, sliced and fried - although I lost some of it to the 3yo - with home-made tzatziki, and leftover turkey breast from last night.
D - salmon fillet fried in butter and garlic salt, with broccolini and carrots (I know).

Water - 1,5L so far, need more before the end of the day.

Have been very good on the whole "cravings" thing today but it is only the first day so I'm not patting myself on the back yet!

nekobus · 19/10/2015 10:24

good morning! haven't had a chance to post yet as a busy week last week but stayed on track with BC rules and have lost 2lbs. A bit disappointed as Saturday's sneaky mid-week weigh showed 3lbs off but I had a random period arrive this week any they usually mess with my weight (I like the IPD rule of not weighing yourself during period as it can fluctuate!)

well done on all the weight losses so far and good luck to all for this week!

standinginthedoorway · 19/10/2015 10:43

Well huntthepigsear can attest that I have not been the model BCer... Started late (last Thursday) and am already down 5lbs today! Was about the same yesterday so I hope that's a good sign it might stay off. I am now about a pound off my first goal (having a healthy BMI).

Breakfast today was low carb sausages (2) and one scrambled egg with splash of whole milk plus tea with splash of whole milk.

Snacking now on decaf coffee with double cream and coconut oil (never had both in coffee before and it is yummy)

Lunch will be something out - bit scared about eating out today but it's an Italian restaurant so hope they have some low carb salads. Might grill the waiter like one of 'those' people Grin

Tea will be salmon with parsley butter and celeriac mash.

This week I am going to try to eat more fat, less dairy, more fish and less meat (cos I get the guilt about meat - I know it's not the best plan weight-loss-wise).

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 19/10/2015 10:44

Grr, I typed a long post and lost it!

3.5lbs off - I will take that! Yippee! DH has lost 4.5 despite much cheating, but a) he's a man and b) he has a lot more to lose than I do.

Today I thought I only had to nip into work for a couple of hours, but turned out I am stuck here until lunchtime. I haven't had breakfast, but I have left my purse at home so it's going to have to stay that way. I am starving!

Does Bootcamp finish on Sun 20th Dec? My work Christmas do is Fri 18th, so I may be finishing a couple of days early! I'm hoping for another 10lbs off by then. 10lbs in 9 weeks sounds perfectly doable. I have got a big weekend of debauchery in there, though, so I'll have to be careful.

CalmYoBadSelf · 19/10/2015 10:54

I'm not weighing so have no loss to post but I feel a bit lighter round my middle and woke up with a headache and a mouth like I'd licked something unmentionable so I think I'm on the right track

I need to address my tea drinking. I have drunk numerous cups a day for my entire life, the whole family are fuelled by tea, one of my brothers used to have tea with 2 sugars in his baby bottle (it was back in the 60s so not the Shock it would be now) I have been convincing myself the milk was negligible but it probably isn't so I will actually try the splash of watered down cream and have bought some herbal teas to try too

I have a busy couple of weeks coming up so will have numerous chances to derail myself and justify it so need to get my head in the right place. Have friends from New York staying from mid-week till Sunday with all the excitement and going out that involves, dinner dance on Sat with a set menu (not a good one and no alternatives available either!), another set of friends arrive next Mon then I am on a full day course next Tues. The usual chaos reigns in the Calm household! Grin

LexLoofah · 19/10/2015 10:55

and we are off! 3.4lb down for me (won't include small-ish indiscretion at DD's birthday party yesterday though so need to be uber strict this week)

haven't posted for a few days as had a busy weekend, food highlight was baked large cap mushrooms stuffed with mushroom 'risotto' using cauli, topped with brie then baked until melted and golden - fab

B - avo, prosciutto, mushrooms in butter, cuppa, creamy coffee
L - a medley of leftovers: veggie soup, mushroom 'risotto' and sheppers pie topped with cheesy cauli & leeks
D - wild boar sausage casserole thingy and whatever veg I can scrape from the fridge, prob swede and cabbage

standinginthedoorway · 19/10/2015 11:01

Damn good point too, I did have my period last week so maybe my start weight was artificially high... Don't necessarily think so as I did weigh myself on most days for months before that and it hasn't changed much in that time. Also I do tend to lose a lot the first week of a change in diet and then plateau. Who am I trying to convince here?? Suspect it's myself haha! Fingers crossed though. Well done all for losses or feeling lighters.

StuntNun · 19/10/2015 11:18

CalmYoBadSelf I have unsweetened almond milk in tea. If you buy the 'fresh' version then it tastes more like cows milk than the long-life version does.

fluffywol · 19/10/2015 11:35

Oops, posted in week one by mistake. Only 1/2lb off this time, but given I was ill most of last week, I'm pretty happy to have lost anything at all. Plus I'd lost 3lb for the previous two weeks before that.

Well done to all the other losers Grin and Thanks to all those who didn't manage it this week. It'll happen soon, promise, just koko.

bettybiggestballs · 19/10/2015 12:09

Just 1lb off for me but I've just got my period so it may be slightly more. A random week food wise, very few meals and more individual low carb items. Not ideal but everything looks a bot calmer this week - have a few work nightmares last week.

Looking forward to my slow cooked beef with mash for lunch, yuummm.
