Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness for your delectation.

It sounds like there might be some good results, and I'm looking forward to hearing those.

That link is hilarious. I think I need the Thorntons stuff though. I m having to take calcium supplements and they have a serious erm, binding effect on me not the opposite. Magnesium isn't shifting it either. I may have to resort to a trip to M&S. Never fails to have the desired effect.

regenerationfez · 21/10/2015 20:56

I know, I know! I did have quite a lot of stir fry veg. I thought I had planned but then I get caught up in something. No excuse, I know! Is there anything we can pack up for a snack orcare we not meant to be snacking?

BestIsWest · 21/10/2015 21:01

Been very hungry today for some reason.

Eggs & butter for breakfast
Chicken thigh, avocado, Brie and salad for lunch
Chicken curry with roasted spiced cauli for dinner. The cauli was a bit of a disaster.
Greek yoghurt.

weegierama · 21/10/2015 21:06

Also had constipation problems last BC but fine this one. Have really upped my fat intake and now reading this I think that could be tbe difference

BIWI · 21/10/2015 21:13

You can snack if you're hungry (as long as it's low carb stuff) but by now you shouldn't really be hungry between meals. If you are, it's a sign that you're not eating enough fat. Or drinking enough water.

Reasonable day here...
Usual lidl Greek ff yog/dbl cream/coco oil combo
Few cashews
Grilled halloumi
Mini salami s
Meatball bolognese with butter, coco oil, dbl cream in, loads of rocket and xtra v o oil

Not enough veg
More tomorrow

readyforno2 · 21/10/2015 21:38

I've had a better day today

Cucumber, Philly, green peppers and cheese for breakfast
Cauliflower and broccoli soup, ff yog
Bolognese with hidden (grated) courgette, mushrooms and shallots on top of salad with sour cream and cheese, ff yog

6 pints water
3 tea with cream

readyforno2 · 21/10/2015 21:39

Actually, reading that back it's quite dairy heavy..

AStoneBeforeChristmas · 21/10/2015 21:57

Thank you BIWI for putting it very clearly - having reread what I said it does look ridiculous. I do appreciate your input into all this. So tomorrow is a new start and the scales have been banished to the garage.

ShebaQueen · 21/10/2015 22:02

Evening all, I'm away with work at the moment staying in a hotel and attending a conference, but managed to find a Tesco Express nearby and bought some low carb items for lunch as the only thing on offer at the conference was sandwiches. Dinner tonight was much easier, I had salmon with loads of broccoli and cauliflower plus a green salad. I asked for butter to put on the veg and some oil and vinegar to make my own salad dressing. Breakfast tomorrow should be fine, but I'll be glad to get home, so much easier! On the plus side I have drunk plenty of water as it was on the table in front of me all day Smile

regenerationfez · 21/10/2015 22:04

No I know what it was- I ate too early in mid morning, then missed lunch because I was in a meeting, then was famished and not at home :(

StoneFoxMama · 22/10/2015 07:11

Did I get that right Best M&S makes you poo? Grin

Today coffee
Aubergine, mozarella, basil oil, tomato and pepperoni stacks
Fish chowder

Working/cooking at home till next week when things kick off. Unfortunately I have a very well stocked fridge and larder at my disposal, which is usually fine, but when I'm having a hungry day...at least it's all keto. Feeling full already but still dreaming of bouillabaisse on Rue St Germain next week.

I find Paris really easy to lc as there are loads of meat/fish choices and honest, fresh buttery cooking with no added sugars etc. I've just finished the last of my Breton butter from the summer (i freeze the whole cool box worth I bring back). America is the worst, you can't have a salad without ingesting sugar.

I dreamt I was at a meeting last night and all there was to eat were cakes on sticks, which I resisted beautifully untill I spied little choux eclairs and then I broke. Actually felt real guilt.

SayrraT · 22/10/2015 08:05

stone it's funny, almost every BC someone has a dream about cake!!

BIWI · 22/10/2015 09:29

Oh God, those dreams are awful - and always so realistic!

Morning everyone, checking in for my telling off!!

My appetite is definitely disappearing so pretty good day yesterday.

B FF yogurt
L cheese salad with pork scratchings
T tuna salad
Snack - home made pork and chicken meatballs.

Not enough water though, very busy day.

Today will be

B lc sausages couple of tomatoes
L tuna in phili with cucumber in lettuce wraps
D chicken curry

To up the fat I'll have some tea with coconut oil.

Off for a nice walk this morning.

Have a great day everyone

StoneFoxMama · 22/10/2015 09:55

It was rubbish, felt so guilty with none of the actual taste. At least its inspired me, I'm going to try an almond meal and whey powder choux pastry which I shall fill with a keto friendly creme anglaise and will glaze with dark choc and cream. Will involve sweetners so not bc friendly, but will have them for christmas as will be sticking to lc.

Gcalgske · 22/10/2015 10:40

I've been off and on the low carb train for a looong time. Before finding boot camp I would bake low carb most weeks because I felt I 'needed' a treat. I'm quite glad to have broken that mindset. I will still bake occasionally but I don't need to. Anyhoo, point of the story was that I've made low carb choux before, it works quite well but had to use some pretty questionable (imo) ingredients like vital wheat gluten. I've tried many many recipes but this was the only way to get the texture right. They are low carb still but confirmed my suspicions that gluten is not my friend. low-carb-copy-cat.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/low-carb-eclairs-choux-pastry.html?m=1

ChesterDrawers · 22/10/2015 10:58

Can anyone inspire me on what to have for tea later? I need something tasty, quick and easy because if it's too complicated I know full well that I won't be arsed and will end up with a chunk of cheese instead again.

Help! What are your go to quickie LC meals? I will be going to the supermarket on the way home so the world is my lobster, so to speak Grin

ChesterDrawers · 22/10/2015 10:59

PS, please NO eggs. Thought makes me green at the minute.

StoneFoxMama · 22/10/2015 11:25

Thanks Gcalgske, that's really helpful. I'm looking at almond meal and whey protein powder but will experiment. My husband has a wheat allergy so have made gluten free choux many times (including our croquembouche wedding cake phew) so interested to try and make them without relying on a gluten free flour blend.

Chester easy meals: boiled and crushed cauliflower topped with double cream, 4 cheeses inc parmesan and mustard and grilled, good with lc sausages too. Or slices of brie melted on crispy back bacon strips on a bed of salad, add avo to supersize. Minute or cheap steaks, rub with soy, ginger, garlic chilli and sesame oil, slow cook till flakey and serve with whatever stir fry veg you have beansprouts and mushrooms are lowest carb.

CharlieSierra · 22/10/2015 11:41

Those sound delicious StoneFoxMama I'm going to try that cauliflower with my belly pork later. I was coming on to say I did a chicken breast wrapped in streaky bacon earlier this week, and I used the rest of the bacon fried with cabbage and a bit of leek, it was too much with the chicken but would make a lovely meal on its own.

Huntthepigsear · 22/10/2015 13:42

G'day everyone. I'm channeling my best Australian today because DS3 had an Australian assembly at school.Grin
Manic day for various reasons yesterday, so didn't have time to post.
I can't remember exactly what I had to eat, but is was all good HFLC stuff. I walked 26,651 steps yesterday - 17.4 km! I don't know if it was that, or the single magnesium tablet but ...{TMI ALERT}... my constipation has resolved with a vengeance Shock

Today's menu is:
B - scrambled eggs with smoked salmon
L - hm broccoli and Stilton soup
D - something with sausages and veg and cheese

I have had ff yoghurt and a hb egg in the fridge at work all week for snacks, but I've just not needed, or even wanted, them. Neither am I having a snack pre-bed as I have always done when doing doing CICO diets in the past. It does still amaze me how satiating this WOE is.

Huntthepigsear · 22/10/2015 13:46

Oh, meant to say, I am going for my monthly treat of a pedicure this evening. Usually, she gives me a coffee and some dark chocolate to have whilst my feet are baked. Grin I'll have to forgo the chocolate this time, which is a disappointment, but will keep it as a treat next month when I am doing BC lite.

DartmoorDoughnut · 22/10/2015 13:51

Can I join the train a bit late? Just starting today ...

So far I've had:
B - cheese omelette
L - beef meatballs with roasted carrots and beetroot
No idea carrots were high carb!

I any case, water is going well but I've no idea what to have for supper!
