Morning all!

Here, for the last time this Bootcamp is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

Hopefully the scales will be kind to you for our last weigh-in!

For those of you that are still here - even you lurking at the back! - it would be great to hear how much you've lost this Bootcamp.

And also, we'll keep this thread going for chat - when it fills up I'll start another general low carb chat thread.

I can't take credit for the idea as I pinched it from a chap DH knows at SW. I adapted it to make it friendly to both SW and LC. If you can use a processor to lightly chop the shallots and corned beef together it does make the whole thing hold together better for serving. I used to love my mother's corned beef pie and missed it after I had to go gluten free. GF pastry is vile! This is a good substitute.

Hi ladiesSmile

Not been posting for a while as signed off work the last two weeks with stress (culmination of issues) and exhaustion so actually felt ill. I was also not eating properly so dropped another half stone but not in a sustainable WOE I wanted to post on here.

Am feeling a bit more like myself now, though probably will be signed off another week, back to eating (and enjoying!) three meals a day. I am doing BC lite as need to maintain now and introduce exercise for mental wellbeing. So much more positive, I hope. I need to read the BC lite rules again though.

I think Miffy or Stunt recommended probiotics for my ongoing IBS issues, I am using these - plus raw apple cider vinegar, courtesy of Dr Google - not sure about the latter yet, aside to say it is VILE. However, I had some kale last night without any pain, so fingers crossed. I would be pleased to get kale crisps back on my menuSmile.

Romeyroo · 17/08/2015 06:32

Sorry, that is all about ME, apologies. I notice there are new posters, so looking forward to catching up with how you are doing.

Lex well done on your lossesStar. How are you settling in back here? We (finally) have some sun this summer, maybe you brought a bit back (the rain must be dismal for you, I think)

miffy49 · 17/08/2015 11:58

Sorry to hear you're not well Romey Its difficult to eat sensibly on any plan when you feel wiped out but I do find that this WOE makes huge differences to my energy levels and my ability to stay positive.

Can't help with the probiotics. I saw the price and passed! I don't have IBS though so maybe I would have seen things differently if I did. I had to give up on the ACV. It made a difference to my joint pain but it sent my vulvodynia in overdrive and the joint pain is easier to handle! Confused How do you take it? I found it actually quite drinkable diluted well with chilled fizzy water. Brought back memories of student days and very rough home brewed cider! Grin

Remained fairly close to the wagon over the weekend apart from drinking a quite greedy amount of red wine on Saturday and then having a carby blip thanks to the hangover on Sunday. But out of the 9 available meals from Friday to Sunday, 8 were good - am I clutching at straws with the way I am looking at things??!

Anyway, food for today, before tomorrow's weigh in:

B - black and blueberries with ff greek and some dessicated coconut
L - salad bowl with tikka marinated chicken and a creamy dressing
D - hm chilli with cauli rice, cheese, avocado and sour cream

iamaboveandBeyond · 17/08/2015 14:18

I've just attempted to make a stock of MIM to keep in the freezer. only had two eggs though so made mini ones and cooked them in the oven and they are...interesting Grin

I'm also trying to have a green smoothie a day again.

So today i've had

MIM with cream cheese, coffee with cream x2
Green smoothie with coconut cream, kale, spinach, courgette, cucumber, tomato, celery and a few berries
3 litres of water so far

Dinner will be roast chicken thigh and some sort of veg (probably more kale as we have a tonne of it!) not sure what exactly yet, though

Lictionary · 18/08/2015 10:32

Romey I hope you are beginning to feel more yourself. Weighed myself today (forgot yesterday) and 4 lb off. I had also forgotten how much I enjoy breakfasts on this WOE although I have made a chia almond milk shake for work tomorrow and I am not sure how low carb this is?

I am also finding my milk supply is vanishing so I have had to introduce a little more carbs. I'm in the process of weaning anyway so I hope by boot camp proper I will be properly able to join in.

lisbapalea · 18/08/2015 11:32

Dh was out last night in the end so I have saved chilli for tonight. Instead I had one of those meals that I knew dh would HATE, but would be good for me, bootcamp wise - had fried halloumi with some kale which I steamed and then stir fried with garlic and sesame - was yum!

Today:
B - black and blueberries with ff greek and some dessicated coconut
L - salad of some kind, depending on what's on offer in the work canteen
D - the chilli etc that I was supposed to have yesterday!

More water - didn't drink enough yesterday I don't think...

LBDD · 18/08/2015 14:23

I made low carb bread this morning from The Londoner blog. It's just ground almonds, flaxseed, baking powder and eggs so I've kind of assumed it's ok and eaten about half it it already. So nice to have a slice of bread(ish) with peanut butter etc and very moreish. Anyone know if this is actually ok to eat or have I screwed up totally?

lisbapalea · 18/08/2015 15:03

Ooh that sounds good - can you link to the recipe?

Can't see why that wouldn't be good; maybe not for the first two weeks of bootcamp, but OK for bootcamp light, I would have thought?

iamaboveandBeyond · 18/08/2015 20:08

I'm adding a bit of 5:2 into my diet, so had a 'fasting' day today. Breakfast was berries and a little pot of ff greek yoghurt then nothing til a green smoothie (kale, avocado, celery, courgette, coconut oil) at tea time. Oh and three coffees with cream.

Six tonne of water (i lost count at five litres)

iamaboveandBeyond · 19/08/2015 19:14

MIM with cream cheese, coffee with cream
LC sausages, cauli cheese

90% choc, berries

3l water

Lictionary · 19/08/2015 21:51

Beccus - I've been offline a few days - where is the list of hacked accounts? I was hacked via MN last time it happened, caused me a very great deal of hassle which I am only now beginning to get back on top of and having been an internet user pretty much since its earliest incarnations MN is the only site this has happened to me on Sad

whitershadeofpale · 20/08/2015 18:40

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this. I've broken my foot badly and spent a week in hospital followed by 2 weeks of near complete inactivity where I could feel myself piling on weight.

I've been following boot camp light for the past week (I don't eat nuts but have had cheese and a few berries) and have found it easy so far. My only struggle has been too much tea (I only like it with skimmed milk) but I've cut down and have coffee with cream more, I like a sweetener in my hot drinks but I'm hoping to cut that out over time.

Due to my injury I can't really weigh myself but my stomach feels a lot flatter and considering I'm still mainly sitting on my arse guzzling cream and fatty meat is amazing!

Dinner tonight is slow cooked lamb with garlic, Rosemary and anchovies. Served with creamy cauliflower mash (I might add some Parmesan in) and broccoli.

I'm thinking of making some extra mash to make patties and frying tomorrow with some bacon for lunch.

whitershadeofpale · 20/08/2015 22:07

Dinner was delicious and the mashed cauliflower has left me stuffed in a way I didn't believe was possible without carbs.

What on earth did you post, Beccus?!

Beccus · 21/08/2015 22:50

how to google the link to the list of published names and passwords. happy to pm it if people want it, but shouldn't have posted it on such a public forum

iamaboveandBeyond · 22/08/2015 11:08

Theres a list in sitestuff of names only, if anyone is worried they might be on it :)

Does anyone here have "the art of cooking well"? Just watching the hemsley sisters on saturday kitchen, making bolognese exactly as i do Grin

StoneFoxMama · 22/08/2015 17:18

Is there a kind soul out there who could post either the fathead pizza recipe or a link to it please? I've made it a few times now and can't for the life of me remember the ratios or find it, thanks!

RomeyNew · 23/08/2015 12:47

Hello ladies Smile, I hope you are all well - has anyone heard how gcalske is doing (or her dad)? I have been thinking of her.

Thanks, Beccus, for the heads up, as it happened, I had clocked on and de-registered already, but was very touched that someone thought of me and posted Flowers. What a nightmare for everyone more affected than me.

After spending some valuable time thinking of a new and snazzy username, I gave up. Life is too short, especially after I had virus/spyware/malware checked and updated all my various security thingies.

Anyway, looking forward to BCing some more, especially come October. I am afraid I have never made the fathead pizza, StoneFox, so can't help there, but will try with other things.

RomeyNew · 23/08/2015 12:48

The question will be of course if I can actually get on the site again if I log off, or if I will forget everything I have done for my new account.
