Morning. Apologies for late start to this week's thread, but I'm off work poorly today, and had a bit of a lie-in.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And don't forget the Weight Tracker

Good luck for this week

Oh mrsk that is very frustrating, but sounds like you're having some small successes along the way to keep you bolstered.

I have got a Sicilian friend bastard who's currently making some kind of lemon cake in my kitchen. The smells are wafting through the whole flat. He's practicing as he loves cooking and wants to maybe turn it I to a business. Why that means cook them here, I don't know! I'm sort of his adopted mother, even though he's 28! Anyway, I've told him firmly we aren't trying them, sorry. The dcs will oblige obviously, and I've a couple of friends who I'll take them to tomorrow Hmm

Well. I managed the bike ride. Ten miles round trip. Glad I didn't know that before I started. Twice along the way I seriously decided to turn back and get the car. For some weird reason my body didn't follow through, so on I pedalled. It was ever so slightly up hill most of the way there, although it looked flat! It took me an hour, and I had proper jelly legs Grin when I arrived. Did a quick doggy walk, and then headed back. I took my little chihuahua along with my, and she sat in the basket wrapped in reindeer fur!

Was absolutely fucking buggered when I arrived home.

I ate a lidl mozzarella and half an avocado with a big drizzle of olive oil and salt.

Dinner is about to be served, which is chilli made with African umami paste, and I'm just gonna have a titchy salad with mine.

sass, lurking, BIWI OK good, am relieved there will be a betwixt bootcamps thread

forgot to post earlier that DH had a sneaky mid week weigh and was 4lb down but only 2lb this morning, clearly should not be drinking wine just yet

B - 2 buttery scr eggs, courgettes and mushrooms fried in butter - loving this combo, feeling not a bit guilty about calories and fat and really quite virtuous to be having veg for breakfast - can the cereal and toast munchers say that? I think not!

L - leftover roast chicken, lettuce, cucumber, celery, 1 hb egg and hm mayo based caesar dressing minus the parmesan

D- will be curry with the rest of the chicken using Patak's Korma paste and coconut milk from a tin, plus will do some aubergines fried in coconut oil and cauli pilau rice in coconut oil. I expect the paste and coconut milk combo will be a bit carby but that is what I have in the cupboard and will be getting in late as need to pick up some more bacon and mushrooms on the way home!

Romeyroo · 02/03/2015 20:51

Wow, well done on the bike ride trash, very impressive.

b - soya yogurt with flaxseed, chia and a few cocoa nibs (tasted nice but will revert to coconut milk as definitely more filling)
L - salmon fillet and spinach
S - some small Polish kabanos (sp?)
D- cold roast pork, mixed salad leaves, cucumber and Mayo

I had some dark chocolate this morning as I took myself out for coffee to so some work. The office is always freezing on Mondays til the building warms up, plus I wanted a bit of private time. It was nice. I had coffee, sparking water and some chocolate.

Feel exhausted again. Am taking vitamin D and a B complex as well as vitamin C and zinc. Iron is out because I can't cope with the bunging effects. If anyone has ideas for more energy, I would be happy to hear themSmile.

KOKO everyone!

ijustwanttobeme · 02/03/2015 20:58

Just had dinner: crispy roast chicken, with courgettes and a cheesey broccoli and leeks bake type thing.

Have prepped a chicken and ham salad for work tomorrow, plus marinating done some pork belly slices for dinner.

So, now how does this work once BC is over? I've enjoyed having the rest of you lovely MNers to encourage, congratulate, chastise where necessary, over the past weeks. Plus, to be honest, I'm not sure I can go it alone Sad.

Have read there'll be some in between support, so am I to assume a new LCBC will start?

lurkingmurking · 02/03/2015 21:02

A good dairy free day

B: 2 eggs fried, avocado, mushrooms BPC
L: moussaka (no white sauce or feta)
D: Chinese pork cabbage parcels with roasted broccoli
2 x coffee with coconut milk

bettybigballs · 02/03/2015 21:46

Another 1lb off for me, very happy considering I had wine and some bread over the weekend. 10.5lbs in total, feel so much better for it too. Really into the swing of things now but am struggling with appetite. Just not hungry at all. Skipping breakfast and having small meals but just not that fussed about food.

imustbepatient · 02/03/2015 21:48

Oh my god BIWI I made your mashed celeriac and leek recipe for dinner tonight. Divine doesn't even begin to cover it. I could have eaten the whole lot and had to exercise serious restraint to stop myself at the table from wiping the plate with my finger to get every last smidgen I waited till I got to the kitchen instead

We had it with pork chops and asparagus fried in the same pan with the pork. Definitely a new favourite dinner.

B was two eggs fried in butter with a bit of Mayo and a BPC sipped during the morning
L was prawns dipped in Mayo and piri piri chicken slices dipped in guacamole.

I've had four litres of water too, slosh slosh slosh.

BerylStreep · 02/03/2015 21:54

Hello all!

Bird what a fab achievement!

Trash well done on the cycle. I'm laughing at the thought of your chihuahua shivering in the basket.

Given that I fluctuate from day to day, I am posting my lowest weight of the week. 97.6kg. Very happy with this. I find using MFP a massive help in seeing where the hidden carbs lie.

Hope everyone has a good week.

BIWI · 02/03/2015 22:12

ijustwanttobeme no need for you to be alone - there will be an ongoing chat thread until the next Bootcamp starts. I'll probably start the next one around May - so that it finishes around the time schools break up for summer/we can all go off on holiday

imustbepatient glad you enjoyed it!

Hope you're feeling better BIWI and Charlie!

I'm having another allergic day, who knows what to this time, they come and go! At least one a month though, it's seriously annoying.

Amazingly I'm down a lb which has made me very happy and relieved as I've had a couple of late night slips with crisps, and the wine still hasn't stopped.

However I need to shape up if I'm going to lose the next half stone so "beat me up, BIWI!"

I have a friend here who has lost 30kg of weight since just before New Year, just by giving up junk food. Admittedly he was eating KFC or McD's nearly every day, and too much chocolate, but he's done nothing else apart from stop eating those things. So impressed - but slightly horrified (although not very surprised) that the junk food had such an effect on him. He's also been able to come off his BP meds, that he had been on for the last 6y - and he's not even 30 yet. Good for him though - he's given me a boost to KOKO!

FurFoxAke · 03/03/2015 06:56

Morning all! Or evening if that's where you're at!

Yesterday's food wa..
BPC.
Fry up
Mince and kale and other bits of veg (leek, bit if tomato) sounds yuck but it was really nice. I added loads of butter to the kale.

Three litres done woohoo! Grin

Have a good day everyone, or a good night!

Pisseslikeahorse · 03/03/2015 08:01

Morning!

I'm back to making crackling (testing the new tooth) and started to get a lovely golden dust of salty bacon and want to make it into a salt condiment, but its slightly fatty and damp, anyone have any ideas how I could dry this out further?

Mrsstevejones · 03/03/2015 08:18

Morning all, very stiff here after exercise but feeling great for having done it.
Its cold here but bright reminding me that summer is coming which is helping to keep my resolve.

B- 2 sausages with mayo. Followed by buttery coffee ( no coconut oil left)

I need to go shopping as i am out of all fresh stuff so no idea what i will do for lunch. Dinner will be breast of lamb and something. I had never eaten this before as its too fatty but its lovely, i had been missing out!

I have been going back through my recipe books and now i am not scared of fat there are loads of lovely things i wouldnt have eaten before. I have some of my grans old cookbooks and loads of lovely low carb suitable recipes in there.

DS nearly 1yr is coming down with the horrible cold everyone else seems to have. So making a massive batch of chicken soup as i think we will all need it soon.

KOKO

imustbepatient · 03/03/2015 08:18

Pisses it might work if you spread it out on an oven tray and put it in at your oven's lowest setting eg 80. Leave it for an hour or two but check it every now and again. That should work as a dehydrator.

You've inspired me to try it too! Grin

Pleaseandthankyou · 03/03/2015 08:27

The scales have moved. 2lbs off last weeks lowest weight. Now to keep it off. I have cut out cheese (apart for a cheeseboard after dinner one night) but I have been having double cream. Over the weekend I fried some chorizo and leek in butter, added sliced pork fillet and then a slosh of double cream. Last night I cooked green bean chips with fillet steak and a pepper sauce made with double cream. Delicious. I am going to be really careful this week as I have an off peak excursion planned for the weekend and I know I will bounce up again.
For those who aren't losing I haven't really lost since the first week. This's was mainly due to eating the wrong things at weekends, too much eating out. This morning I am 6lbs less than I started so that is about 1lb a week. If I hadn't been on bootcamp I am certain it would have put a couple of pounds on as my weight had been slowly creeping upwards. I feel that is a net loss of 8lbs so all good.
Breakfast was 2 boiled duck eggs, mashed in a cup with butter, mayo, salt and pepper. This definitely beats a low fat diet

cymrukernow · 03/03/2015 08:55

1lb up this week which is most unwelcome but I think I know why. It's TOTM and if I'm honest with myself I haven't been trying hard enough this past week.
Went to a dinner party on Fri and ate carby things.
Then my premenstrual hunger pangs arrived and have been constantly snacking - usually on things that need to be limited like cheese and peanuts.

So BIWI let me borrow your stick to hit myself with and I'll sort myself out. Aiming for 1-2lbs less by Monday!

lurkingmurking · 03/03/2015 09:04

Ok slightly silly question here - does mayo count as dairy?

Fatstacks · 03/03/2015 09:09

Eggs oil and mustard I think lurking so prob not.

ChesterDrawers · 03/03/2015 09:11

Morning all,

Good day yesterday but ended up snaffling a handful of Brazil nuts just before bed as I was starving. We'd eaten tea early with DS and, as it was tomato-ey I'd only had a small portion. Still, scales down a bit this morning and back to last Monday's weight.

Today's plan:

B: eggs, butter
L: chicken, avocado, olive oil, salad
D: left over spag bol, maybe a bit of grated cheese

Next week I am doing a sponsored walk type thing - think walking for at least 12 hours Shock. Can anyone help with WTF I can eat that I can carry, will keep me going and won't make me look odd while everyone else is tucking into sandwiches and Mars bars? No Pepperamis, I'd rather starve.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 03/03/2015 09:19

Woohoo, big big thanks to gcal for sending the whoosh fairy my way!! Grin

Another two lbs lost overnight, half a stone down now in total. Worst nights sleep and feeling like shit, but its worth it :)

sassandfaff · 03/03/2015 09:23

chester if it were me, I'd probably have a Tupperware box with chunks of cheese, pieces of chicken or slices of ham, olives, tomatoes, cucumber. Nuts and dark choc.

I've got my totm again. (Last one about a week ago) something is definitely going on with me. Confused

MrsKoala · 03/03/2015 09:41

i know this isn't about BC but i just have to vent. I really HATE being here. Or away from home generally. The dc are so hard to look after. Dinner last nights was 2 slices of cold beef, cold cauli and an avocado, eaten hurriedly at 10.30pm while the baby cried and everyone else was in bed. I was so hungry. I also am on totm which is hellish here as i can't leave the dc alone to go to the loo and i keep flooding thru my trousers. Also i can't wash so am just wiping down there with wet wipes - it's truly grim.

DS2 was up at 4am with DH and we swapped over at 7. So i am here with both dc and unable to go to the loo or get a glass of water. DS1 can now open all the doors and keeps running off and going into random rooms full of dangerous stuff to hide and ds2 wont sleep or be put down. We have nowhere to put him down apart from the buggy in a cold room.

MIL is obviously very ill so we have to come, but it really is so so hard.

Apologies, i feel a bit better for that. Hope you all have a good day.

lurkingmurking · 03/03/2015 09:46

Oh MrsK that sounds utterly horrendous. How long are you going to be there?

imustbepatient · 03/03/2015 10:02

Oh Mrs K poor you, I wish there was something I could say or suggest that would help. ThanksThanksThanks

Notso · 03/03/2015 10:03

MrsK Flowers can't you take them with you to the loo? It's not ideal I know but I used to put one in the buggy outside the door and one in the bath or car seat while I got washed etc. Sometimes they (and I) cried the whole time but you need to look after yourself as well as everyone else.
