Morning. Apologies for late start to this week's thread, but I'm off work poorly today, and had a bit of a lie-in.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And don't forget the Weight Tracker

Good luck for this week

I sound utterly spoiled in that message. Obviously I'm more concerned about Dd, but hunger and thirst really don't help! Feeling v stressed Confused

Gcalgske · 03/03/2015 21:40

moo that's awful. My lg has had two GA's in her short life (she's 2.5) it's scary, I know. Thinking of you. X

trashcanjunkie · 03/03/2015 22:38

Moo, go eat/drink something in another room! You can't help dd if you're on the deck!

mootime · 03/03/2015 23:18

Still waiting for the surgeon. Dd finally asleep, going to try and find some water...

Thumbwitch · 03/03/2015 23:30

Oh moo - that's shocking! How long have you been there now? Hope they sort her out quickly. :(

DS1 and DS2 both needed a hernia operation within the first 2 months of their lives - it's quite scary but the doctors couldn't have been nicer about it all. I'm sure your DD will be fine with it too. :) Thanks

mootime · 03/03/2015 23:51

Surgeon been. He's going to try and do it under a local while she's asleep. It's only 3/4 stitches. Looks worse than it is.... If she wakes or gets distressed we will be back in the morning for a general.
Sorry to hear of other little ones needing proper operations.

mootime · 03/03/2015 23:54

We've been here 5 hours....

mootime · 03/03/2015 23:59

We've been here 5 hours....

Thumbwitch · 04/03/2015 00:33

Ugh to 5h - at least she's sleeping! Hope it works and you don't need to come back for a GA.

LexLoofah · 04/03/2015 01:31

moo not spoiled at all! hope the surgeon was able to get it done. Mine also been under GA at 2 for ear op and was fine if it comes to that, must be more scary if not planned though, trash is right you must look after yourself to be abLe to be there for DD in the morning

Tea ended up being hm chicken stock, shiritaki, bok choi, tuna steak, soy sauce, actually comforting in its own way but have filed away beyonds suggestion for tuna cauli bake for when I am back on dairy

Pondering whether to have a drop of brandy in a lemon & ginger tea before bed, seems it is zero carbs but gets burned first before fat but if it kills the germs and knocks me out it will be worth it

Romeyroo · 04/03/2015 06:07

Oh moo, I hope it all worked out in the end and you and DD got home safely

MrsS, thanks, yes, I need to remember that the spur for weight loss was a photo where I looked like I was about seven months pregnant; and last time I went swimming, i could see my waist line again.
I probably just need some better weather; we had three inches of snow yesterdayHmm

ChesterDrawers · 04/03/2015 06:33

BIWI walk is a work thing for a homeless charity. I'm doing an even longer one in the summer so signed up to this to see how I get on. We used to walk a lot pre-DC but now half an hour with the dogs is my max. I do run and think I'm quite fit so hoping that will help

MrsS can you repost your ricotta and chorizo bites recipe if poss? I've trawled the recipe thread but can't find it.

Moo hope all's ok with you and DD this morning.

Today's plan:

B: eggs, butter
L: hot chcken, bacon and avocado salad, all in lots if butter, natch
D: belly pork, floppy fridge veg (shopping tomorrow)

Running 5 miles with DH later. He's been away loads recently so looking forward to a bit of a chat.

MrsKoala · 04/03/2015 07:42

oh Moo, you poor thing. I remember when 15mo ds1 ran into the bed frame and cut his cheek open. It really is horrible waiting and worrying, and being without food! Last week we had to take ds2 to hospital in a hurry and there was nothing non carby i could eat and everything was really expensive. I hope all is okay today Flowers

Yes please repost the recipe MrsS. Chester beat me to asking :)

Home later today. Hurrah! Shit night tho. DS1 was up most of it with his sore eye and ds2 woke every 30-50mins. Poor DH has 2 hour work phone call 9-11 and then a 4hr drive home.

sassandfaff · 04/03/2015 07:50

Oh no moo hope it all went well?

I completed t25 Mon and Tues with do, but he's away wed, Thurs, Fri morning, so we've agreed to get up 6am and do it together- him in his hotel room.

Texting back and forth this morning which wasn't really 'focus' as Shaun T says, but it was fun.
The most sore part is my hands. Planks and press ups are giving me carpet burns! I need a mat. I did have one, but seem to recall I put it at the bottom of dc's slide last summer. Doh.

Last night dinner.
1chicken drumstick with coleslaw.

I managed to eat the skin though. I just can't get my head around it. Being a vegetarian for nearly 20 yrs is quite a big jump to eating legs with skin on. First time I ever ate skin in my life was in Oct 14 and even then it was on breast not legs.

I can barely look at a chicken wing!

Ewwww.

Mrsstevejones · 04/03/2015 08:10

Ricotta cups

1/2 cup of parmesan shavings
1/2 cup of mozzarella or cheddar
1 cup of ricotta
2 large eggs
s and p, garlic, herbs - whatever

optional favourings
chicken and chorizo or bacon and leek or chicken, curry and spinach (frozen and squeezed) or ham, sp onion. Cook the optional flavourings and allow to cool. Leeks, broccoli, green peppers etc are all nice but need to be precooked - you need something to help bind it together. You need a lot of flavour as the ricotta is so bland.

Mix top ingredients together, add cooled optional ingredients ( no idea on weights sorry - handful of each?), mix well. Pop into greased muffin tins and bake at 180 degrees for 25 mins until going brown on top. Run a knife around the edge and allow to cool in tin for 5 mins before flipping out on a cooling tray.

Great for breakfast and freeze nicely and only take 1 min in microwave. My kids love them.

B- Coffee with cream and bacon with mayo.

Must go food shopping or will be eating dust for dinner!

Moo hope your LO is ok, i cant imagine how you must feel.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 04/03/2015 08:20

Morning, lovely sunny day here. Moo and MrsK , you are not having a good week. Hope today goes more smoothly for you both.
I broke through the next stone barrier this morning at long last, I am no longer officially obese!!! Grin
Looks like the extra water has helped push past it.
Oh and the spa got back to me and it has been sorted. Thanks for the advice on that, I hate making a fuss but it was so straightforward.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 04/03/2015 08:55

My BMI is currently 30.85. I wonder if its aiming too high to get it down to 29.99 (a loss of 6lb) by the end of bootcamp...?

Hope youve had an okay night moo xx

mootime · 04/03/2015 09:11

Thanks for the messages ladies.
Got home about 1.30. Luckily dd was so fast asleep that they managed to do it last night with some new topical local anaesthetic. Such a small thing but would have left a nasty scar right on her face so good to have it done.
Barely slept and DS woke from 4.30... Oh well at least we are all safe and well.
Back on bootcamp, and on mission drink more water!!

BIWI · 04/03/2015 09:22

Glad it's done and you're home!

ChesterDrawers · 04/03/2015 09:36

I'm aiming for another 6lbs too Beyond - bet we can do it!

Glad DD managed to get sorted Moo

Thanks for the recipe MrsS, gonna get ingredients tomorrow. They sound lovely.

ChesterDrawers · 04/03/2015 09:57

Right, hope to God no one on here knows me in RL but here are some photos of me taken a month apart wearing the same jeans.

On 4 Feb I weighed bang on 11st 3 and today I was 10st 13, so just 4lb difference.

So to those who've not lost much so far, just look at the difference this WOE can have without the scales showing
or at least I think there's a visible difference.

Eeeek

Gcalgske · 04/03/2015 10:06

Chester you look fab! Def a big difference. X

Notso · 04/03/2015 10:09

moo glad DD is ok.

Chester am impressed and slightly Envy you can run a) at all, b) with your DH my dumpy legs get about 3 strides to DH's 1 c) you can chat as well I can barely breathe!

MrsK glad your going home. Hope you get a bit more sleep.

Sass is the T25 online or a DVD?saw the advert this morning, looks brutal! With you on the chicken skin, I can't eat fish shin either though could eat cracking and pork scratchings all day long [fickle]

MrsS they sound delicious. Will def be trying them.

natural glad the spa is all sorted and well done for getting into the new stone bracket.

beyond aim high I think.

BIWI that celeriac and leek mash is Devine. I had it with sausages last night and just had the other half with a lovely rare rump steak for brunch. I didn't think I could replace mashed spud but I think that is the answer.

Didn't sleep well last night. I never do when DH is away. I need to blitz the house it is a tip atm but am procrastinating listening to the radio, playing chef and darling (customer to everyone else) with DS3 and faffing online.

Notso · 04/03/2015 10:12

Chester absolutely amazing. You look fab.

lurkingmurking · 04/03/2015 10:25

Wow Chester you look fabulous!!
