Morning. Apologies for late start to this week's thread, but I'm off work poorly today, and had a bit of a lie-in.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And don't forget the Weight Tracker

Good luck for this week

Christ MrsK I'd be tempted to hire a caravan and live in the garden. It sounds hideous!

Gcalgske · 03/03/2015 17:03

mrskFlowers

beyond whoooop! Send her back to me asap!
lurking I love almond breeze in coffee - it's 0.4g /100mls and nice!

Gcalgske · 03/03/2015 17:06

Koko coconut milk drink isn't too bad in tea / coffee. I use it for the DD who is CMPI. It's definitely a milk replacement and 1.9g/100mls so higher than almond breeze but alright if you aren't having heaps.

Gcalgske · 03/03/2015 17:37

mrsk have you had any treatment for your back? I see a fantastic physio and osteopath and am under the pain clinic and had some nerve blocking injections which have helped me SOO much. Just an idea but my LO wouldn't be put down either due to her reflux and the osteopath was able to help her too? I also wore her in a sling which spread the weight and kept her happy. X

trashcanjunkie · 03/03/2015 18:28

Evening people.

Thanks for the big ups Grin I'm amazed im not stiff today.... Although my undercarriage mingebone is tender.

I did a forty five minute power walk this morning, which felt bloody marvellous. I did it fasted, and didn't give it a second thought either.

Came home and ate a piece of fried salmon and two scrambled eggs, with mayo.

I had a piece of fried salmon skin at half three and then for dinner some chilli with some rocket and spinach, a small amount of Red Leicester, and more mayonnaise.

Currently chugging through second litre of water, and have drunk three cups of tea.

BerylStreep · 03/03/2015 18:30

MrsKoala remember the MN mantra, 'it's just a phase'

What ages are the DC? Are there any activities nearby that you could do? Or a shoutout on MN / Facebook might find you someone willing to babysit / take the kids out for a couple of hours.

MushroomTree · 03/03/2015 18:32

Another 1lb down. Slow and steady wins the race and all that. I wouldn't mind another big whoosh though!

LexLoofah · 03/03/2015 18:39

In which I have a fishy day...

have had a headache all day which is not like me, painkiller and hot marmite not dulled it much, also throat is getting sore so think I might be getting lurgy, anything I can do that does not involve sugar/honey? Would usually have hot honey & lemon, perhaps just lemon and ginger would be OK.

B - 2 streaky bacon, 2 fried eggs, cuppa
L - tinned tuna, hm mayo, olives, aubergine, courgettes, peppers, cucumber
D - tuna steaks somehow, probably fried in coconut oil with bok choi and a drizzle of soy sauce & fish sauce - but I don't really want that, I really want good old comforting tuna pasta bake ...

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 03/03/2015 18:41

Thanks for the mayo recipes :)

MrsK Flowers

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 03/03/2015 18:44

Lex, could you make a version of tuna 'pasta' bake but with tuna, cauli, tomatoes and creamy cheese sauce?

LexLoofah · 03/03/2015 18:55

beyond that is a good idea could do cauli cheese with tuna but I had planned on no/extremely low dairy this week. Might just cook them and have for lunch tomorrow and have hm chicken stock & bok choi for tea.

Considering leaving work early I feel so bad as not really doing any proper work anyway, just pissing about on MN

Amaxapax · 03/03/2015 19:03

I've been struck down in the prime of life. Feel really unwell with a very sore throat and headache. I've been trying to drink a lot of caramelised apple green tea and water, and I have sent my husband to Waitrose with screenshots of three acceptable types of soup. I may end up with the cauliflower cheese and ham soup, which is unfortunate as I'm avoiding dairy, but if it tastes nice, I'll live with it.

MrsKoala · 03/03/2015 19:10

aaaaaaargh DS1 now has conjunctivitis. his poor right eye is swollen and pussing. My eyes are itchy and dh is saying his feel sore now too. Mutherfucker. (sorry, absolutely nothing to do with BC)

Mrsstevejones · 03/03/2015 19:17

MRSK - Warm salty water on a cotton wool ball to help clear the eye or pharmacy for some OTC stuff.

Just had a lovely cup of homemade chicken stock with my dinner, supposed to be fullof good stuff as the lergy has arrived in our house so taking a preventative strike.

Pisseslikeahorse · 03/03/2015 19:22

thanks LexLoofah bacon salt will be on the table by tomorrow shortly followed by crackling salt soon after Grin

I'm going to be in pig heaven

readyforno2 · 03/03/2015 19:36

Hi everyone. I'm struggling to keep up with these threads! Also, haven't weighed yet. Will do in the morning. Had a terrible weekend food wise, but back on it today. I'm getting a bit sick of STS but I know this can happen. I'm going to be better..
Food today,

Scrambled eggs
Shep pie with turnip mash
Roast chicken with salad

2l water so far, another pint in front of me.

Romeyroo · 03/03/2015 19:46

Really sorry to hear that more people are poorly Flowers.

Mrs K, if you can get to a chemist, you can buy chlorophenocol (sp?) over the counter now. You need to get the drops in every two hours and it usually works quite quickly.

Not doing well here; on a course today and did not have time to put my lunch in the fridge beforehand, so ended up chucking it in the bin. Got a chicken salad but it had beans in it. Realised on the course that I only drank a litre of water all day, so now adding to that. Ended up eating loads of cheese and sausage when I got home as I was hungry.

I think I am getting boot camp fatigue; I need to get re-motivated to shift the last few pounds.

MrsKoala · 03/03/2015 19:52

Thanks all. I sent DH out to a late chemist and got some drops in him. Bathed it a few times too. We went swimming this avo so it was probably from the pool. drat.

Pleaseandthankyou · 03/03/2015 19:54

Mrs K boil a little pot of water with some salt. Put some cotton wool balls in it. If you keep the lid on it you will be able to use them for a while. I had a baby who would not be put down. He also had reflux (along with a list of other problem). That was a long time ago and I now have a handsome 6 footer who sleeps a lot. For his first 8months the longest he slept was 2 hours. It is a distant memory thank goodness. His reflux was diagnosed at 2 months. As I was bf I had to give him a thickened feed first. I'm not sure what age your ds is.
I have just had the most delicious dinner. Home from work, put a knob of butter in a pan. Put in a piece of salmon and a chopped leek. Cooked for about 10mins then poured in some double cream. Served with some mashed swede (bought ready cooked).

Mrsstevejones · 03/03/2015 19:54

ROMEYROO - Get your bikini out and hang it on the fridge, then get your favourite too small top and hang it on your wardrobe door - that should help with bootcamp fatigue!

mootime · 03/03/2015 20:20

Arg. Sat in A&E with DD who split her lip open when I left the room for 2 seconds. Have only had two coffees and a pack of pork scratchings all day so struggling for all diff reasons. Dd nil by mouth as she needs surgery (doubt they will do it tonight though). And so I'd feel awful if I were to get a drink. Poor dd doing brilliantly but I'm not sure how I'll deal with it if she needs a GA.

BIWI · 03/03/2015 20:49

Oh no, sorry to hear that, mootime Sad

OP posts:
LexLoofah · 03/03/2015 20:56

moo that sounds utterly horrendous, poor you and your DD. Hopefully you can get something to drink once she is asleep

LexLoofah · 03/03/2015 20:59

am still at work, got some lemon & ginger tea bags and some actual lemon and ginger to have in hot water so have been alternating those in between nibbles of 88% dark choc and feeling marginally better

fun fact - easiest way to peel ginger is scrape it with the side of a teaspoon rather than using a knife, comes off no problem and leaves the ginger intact
