Morning. Apologies for late start to this week's thread, but I'm off work poorly today, and had a bit of a lie-in.

Here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness

And don't forget the Weight Tracker

Good luck for this week

BIWI hope you feel better soon

posted on the other thread, but basically another lb off for me. So far, so good. Another 4lbs by 13/3 and I'll be a happy person.

B: coffee with cream
L: ham salad with mayo and another coffee with cream (as I need something hot to warm me up. It's so cold in the office and we're all sat here with our coats on). Does shivering burn off calories ?

Gcalgske · 02/03/2015 13:45

Dear whoosh fairy,
Actually where the f*ok have you been?
3kg off over night. AT LAST! 112kg. It's something.

FurFoxAke · 02/03/2015 13:47

I've already moaned posted on the other thread. Grin

No change, still feel better than before, jeans not doing up still, errrrr. Yes. That's about it!

Get well soon biwi and brilliant news for all you losers out there!

imustbepatient · 02/03/2015 14:00

Gcalgske please please send her my way next!

FurFoxAke · 02/03/2015 14:39

No! I must have her next, I have lost NOTHING IN SEVEN WEEKS.

Mrsstevejones · 02/03/2015 15:20

Sass that looks like shred but on steroids!! Well done you, I need a sit down and a cuppa just after watching.

Managed to run away from carb cravings today - thankfully.

Just popped some stock on and have sausages cooking. I am going to try dairy free this week. Just trying to get organised as not being messes me up I have realised.

yongnian · 02/03/2015 15:24

Another 1lb off for me, taking me to 161lb.Yay!! This was my goal weight back at end of September. Could someone kind and lovely do spreadsheet for me? Please and thank you!
Not maintaining just yet, I really do need to get more off, I've realised..will see where I'm up to at the end of this bc but will prob aim for 7-10 more off, long term.
Family birthdays this week, so will be tricky. Plan to keep water intake high, do damage limitation and...well....hope for the best.
Get well soonbiwi and well done everyone!

DrDiva · 02/03/2015 15:52

Food so far has been a bit Hmm as I forgot to have breakfast before I left. I really don't function well before 7 in the morning! Thus brunch consisted of baby corn, taramasalata and pastrami. Not as eurgh as it might sound, but not a gourmet delectation either!

Did anyone who gets the Good a food magazine read the bit on paleo diets? First off, they open with a 'paleo' recipe of a chicken and mango sandwich. On sourdough bread. Hmm Then they asked a staff member to try a low-carb diet. She felt great the first week and lost half a stone, then terrible in the second week so she gave up, on her own admission earlier than the 30 days "they" say one should commit to; she then said that she put all the weight back on "and more" and this proved that LC was pretty much a waste of time. (Ok this was implied rather than explicitly said, but it was a pretty obvious implication.) I just got really annoyed! and their pros and cons list was pretty crap too - no idea of where complex carbs actually come from!

And breathe. I still like their recipes though! and have a feeling DS will learn to read from it, he already nicks it off me and leafs through it complete with commentary

MrsKoala · 02/03/2015 16:35

Tried to have lunch out with the dc. Very unsuccessful. DS1 had phasers set to naughty (where it seems to have been stuck since birth). Ran around shouting, knocked his drink over everywhere and smashed a glass. We decided to leave and got the food to go. Brought my halloumi salad back to pils. It was very nice though.

MIL has just informed me excitedly she has bought in 'a lovely lasagne for dinner'. She also said she had a 'small chocolate bunny' for ds1 and asked if he could have it so i said okay. When she handed it to him it was a massive easter egg sized chocolate rabbit. i thought she meant a tiny thing Angry

LexLoofah · 02/03/2015 16:51

Birdinacage wow 4st that is brilliant and v motivational for me to keep going, I know it is not a race but do get impatient sometimes and already starting to stress about what will happen when there is no bootcamp

Almost a lb off for me this week, seems my body is akin to an ocean liner and is taking it's time turning around from carb burning to fat burning. Me next for whoosh fairy after you Fox

Plan for this week to have as many dairy free days as I can (bar morning cuppa) and reduce portion sizes whilst still not getting hungry between meals. I think I am eating too much, especially at dinner time just because it is on my plate and DH and I have the same quantities which is all wrong. I am often very hungry just before dinner and then after a few mouthfuls I am full but keep on eating until my plate is clean. Going to change to smaller plates and see what happens.

CharlieSierra · 02/03/2015 17:12

Well done all the losers.

I 'only have a cold' too, but I feel terrible, really poorly. I don't know what to eat, I want toast and marmite. And a good cry Sad

sassandfaff · 02/03/2015 17:49

lex if there is a gap between the end of this bootcamp and the next one, why don't we just have a fill the gap thread? I'll be in.

Food today

b- Greek yogurt and raspberries
L- bacon and eggs
D- shepherds pie with swede and carrot mash.
S- dark choc.

sassandfaff · 02/03/2015 17:49

Get well soon charlie

Amaxapax · 02/03/2015 17:50

It has worked, BIWI! Quitting the dairy was the best choice, and I don't miss it nearly as much as I thought I would.

I haven't cut my portions hugely, but I have tried to be more aware of them. I've also tried to do things like putting a spoonful of coconut oil in green tea for a little extra fat if I'm hungry. I don't love the flavour, but it's bearable. I've also found that adding flaxseed to my lunch salad makes it much more filling and I avoid the post-work growling stomach.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 02/03/2015 18:07

So many posts to comment on, but you forget them as you scroll (well, I do) but I do read them all and feel like I know you all!
I have a dilemma. My best friend organised a spa day for us this weekend - it's a special treat. She just phoned up to confess that afternoon tea is included but didn't realise until recently how seriously I was taking this woe (booked months ago). She phoned spa and they said 'don't worry, we'll provide fruit' Confused
I reassured her and said don't worry but I am a bit downhearted now. Don't want to upset her but don't want to cheat. Any suggestions?

lurkingmurking · 02/03/2015 18:22

sass and Lex I'll definitely be carrying on between bootcamps too!

CharlieSierra · 02/03/2015 18:30

Oh dear NaturalBlonde I have no helpful advice, last year before I started BC but after I started eating Paleo and had given up all grains and sugar, my niece was getting married and I had booked for her, DSis and all the bridesmaids to go out for tea to a beautiful restaurant. It was a complete nightmare for me, I had half a scone with cream and two glasses of champers. I'd booked it months before but had to go through with it for everyone else. They had a good time anyhow Grin

BIWI · 02/03/2015 18:31

sass/lex - we always have an ongoing chat thread when Bootcamp finishes, so we'll still all be here! Grin (I don't shout as much generally)

Natural - can you contact the hotel yourself and ask them what they could do for you?

OP posts:
MrsKoala · 02/03/2015 18:51

Natural - i would defo contact hotel and ask for cheese and cucumber chunks and maybe raspberries and clotted cream? (or something similar and still afternoon 'tea-ish')

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 02/03/2015 18:57

Yeah, maybe I will. I'm not very good like that normally but not like I'm hurting anyone. It was meant to be a surprise. I might email rather than phone (less embarrassing for me)
Otherwise I was going to sneak stuff in my handbag - I'm a grown woman ffs Grin

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 02/03/2015 19:07

Ok, I've emailed, I sound bonkers but nothing ventured...

SayraT · 02/03/2015 19:20

natural you might as well ask...I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised and they will manage to do something for you.

Pisseslikeahorse · 02/03/2015 19:21

NaturalBlondeYeahRight - ask for the cheese board instead?

Notso · 02/03/2015 19:32

I'm so glad there is a between bootcamp thread. I don't know if I could go it alone.

Birdinacage brilliant. So inspiring, I want to lose at least another two stone, three probably but two would put me back into my wedding dress!

CharlieSierra hope your feeling better soon. I ate cold butter spread with marmite when I was feeling rough. It was nearly as good as toast, also oxo drink felt nourishing.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 02/03/2015 19:39

Its a small business spa, not big hotel type so I feel a bit bad but happy customers are surely a bonus when small. now I just have a tell my friend, she will be fine but will feel bad as it was a present. Its the company thats the gift though and a small glass of bubbly without kids
