Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet

And The Weight Tracker

Up at silly o'clock to catch a train to Leeds so no time for anything else.

Hope your weigh-in brings you good news. But if it doesn't - don't fall into a pile of biscuits - come and rant about it here!

Ohhh, how exciting trashy back to horse riding Grin We can meet p somewhere and go for a hack Smile

I am also getting back into riding properly as a friend has just asked me if I'd be interested in riding one of her horses a couple of times a week. I went today to try him out and he is lovely. Quite green but very willing and nice to ride Grin I was knackered after cantering, I forgot how tiring riding can be.

Pisses thank you for sharing your graph, its very inspiring.

Hope you feel better soon BIWI I hope you don't have the same virus that I had, it was awful Flowers

Pisseslikeahorse · 28/02/2015 19:29

Thank you, it still doesn't feel real sometimes. Good news on the physio front, well done Smile just make sure you take your time getting stronger.

is this the start of the bootcamp pony club ?

Sorry your not well BIWI feel better

lurkingmurking · 28/02/2015 19:45

Wow Pisses that is really inspiring.

If anyone has a stick handy I could do with a hit please! I have been so good for the whole time except last night and today. I need to stop this NOW and am back on it this minute.

IPD mousaka in the oven for tomorrow and have planned the week out.

COME ON!!!

Gcalgske · 28/02/2015 19:56

sayra you can buy chicken skin from the butcher. I've made chicken
Scratchings, duck scratching, you name it. They are ace.

DrDiva · 28/02/2015 19:56

BIWI Sad hope you feel better soon.

pisses if I jumped up and down in front of a mirror I think it would crack...

yule I have that recipe earmarked too - not least as a non-dairy treat for DS who is an eggaholic! Worth the faff then?

lurking I have to join you in the naughty corner for last night. Hmm and I was doing so well. Much better today though:
B yoghurt cream and blueberries
L hot smoked salmon, salad and roast beans
D pork in cream and brandy sauce (the brandy gets set alight) with salad, low carb cheesecake
brushes over glass of white wine at right hand

MrsKoala · 28/02/2015 20:00

Oh i'm so jealous of you that are allowed to exercise. My physio has told me i'm only allowed to swim. Not even walk. I've been told no more than 30 mins gentle stroll a day if i HAVE to take the children out and then i have to wear a special belt to support my back :(

I really want to power walk up the hill to some fast/good music.

StuntNun · 28/02/2015 20:20

I don't know if it's new or just new to my local Tesco but I was shopping today and they had sliced leeks and sliced courgettes in the freezer section. Very handy if you're in a hurry or cooking for one. They also do frozen cauliflower cheese and cauliflower and broccoli cheese that look quite good if you need an easy peasy side dish. The cauliflower cheese is 4.8g carbs per 100g.

Romeyroo · 28/02/2015 20:44

Hiya,

Feel like I did a bit better on the food today

B - roasted green beans and bacon (wanted something not eggs or coconut milk mix, keeping the coconut mix for office days)
L - out and about took cucumber sticks and cheese with me (supposed to be off cheese, but needed something portable)
D - roast pork with courgette spiralised, it was lovely.

Struggled with DS behaviour as he had a soya yogurt with 8g of sugar, misread the label in a hurry - reminded me why he is strictly NO sugar. Reminded myself why I do not buy processed food. Literally wept with this hyper/impulsive/rude child on my hands, there is nothing you can do till he comes down, then he crashed and slept for half an hour and was back on good form. It scares me actually, sugar makes him lose all sense and it is in so much stuff.

SayraT · 28/02/2015 21:24

MrsK sorry, I forgot to make it so you could access it!

this should be it

Oh, Gcalgske I'll need to pop to the butchers and see if they sell chicken skin. Thanks Smile

trashcanjunkie · 28/02/2015 21:30

Yeay sayra lets do it! There's a place somewhere in between us that does heavy horse hacks. I will be as stiff as a board, but it's worth it! That's lovely news for you getting a regular ride in.

mrsk I totally get the frustration. I am still having it now, particularly at night in bed when I should be winding down, I get these great bursts of what feels like pent up kinetic energy. Then I fall asleep and in the morning I'm back to being a bit hobbled and stiff! So sorry if you've mentioned it already but what's the problem with your back? And wtaf are you supposed to do about no walking? Is there an end in sight?

SayraT · 28/02/2015 21:53

I've been to this place before (ages ago, I stayed for a week). I think it should be about halfway between us?

We should make it a summer plan, that gives you a wee while to make sure ankle is absolutely fine.

CharlieSierra · 28/02/2015 23:10

MrsKoala I enjoyed the IPD book too and I have the recipe book which has some interesting recipes, but I linked to a thing in S&B with India Knight in and she has not kept her weight off Hmm

beautifulthing62 · 01/03/2015 07:45

So it's STILL not happening. Can anyone shed any light? Yesterday I had
B: 2 egg omlette with mushrooms fried in butter and a large dollop of mayo
L: 100g of mince made into a burger with portion of the uber coleslaw
D: salad with tuna mayo, half an avocado, cucumber, more mayo and a spoonful of guacamole.
Snacks : had another portion of the uber coleslaw, couple of spoonfuls of greek yoghurt and a teaspoonful of peanut butter. Various cups of tea with soya milk and a BPC. I've cut down on the dairy - no cream but I have had the odd piece of cheese and that bit of yoghurt I mentioned above. I've been hungrier cutting out the dairy and I don't like that feeling - it makes me a bit panicky. I don't think I can carry on with this WOE without the odd bit of cheese. It feels depriving. I can live without the bread, rice etc. What am I going to do? Scales this morning said another half pound on (with my dressing gown on - but how bloody sad is that if I am bothering over how much my dressing gown weighs???). Seriously fed up.
I've downloaded the My Fitness Pal App in an effort to track what I am eating. What percentages should I be aiming for for this WOE - carbs/protein/fat
UGH

Holdenclawfield · 01/03/2015 07:48

Oh no, hasn't she? I am getting bored again. Need to have another trawl through the recipe thread. Am losing again, 2ibs down this week and 3ibs off the target I set myself at the beginning of boot camp.

I went back to boot camp proper this week, though I did have about four glasses of wine. Am going to knock that on the head.

ChesterDrawers · 01/03/2015 07:57

Mindful off plan meals last night steak pie and sticky toffee pudding but back on it today. A little on the scales this morning but to be expected.

Sorry you're feeling rubbish BIWI. I'm still not 100% after my bout a couple of weeks ago.

Pisses amazing progress, can't wait till my graph looks like that.

Today's plan:

b: BPC
L: fry up
D: roast chicken, broccoli, green beans, cauli mash

BIWI · 01/03/2015 08:07

beautifulthing according to the spreadsheet you've lost half a stone. What's the problem? Hmm

If you're going to stress out about a pound, but then tell me you're weighing with your dressing gown on, what do you expect me to say?!! Of course your dressing gown will add to your weight!

Your food looks fine to me, and if you've been losing weight as steadily as you have, it would suggest that dairy isn't really an issue, so if you're feeling deprived and hungry without it, I'd reintroduce it - albeit in moderation

OP posts:
BIWI · 01/03/2015 08:10

Having followed India Knight for a while on Twitter, I'm not surprised she's put the weight back on, because she's clearly gone back to a high carb way of eating and drinking!

OP posts:
BIWI · 01/03/2015 08:11

Thanks for all good wishes, by the way. I'm feeling better today, although don't have much of a voice and throat is sore still - but the horrible headache and constantly runny nose seemed to have gone.

But it's meant I missed both my PT sessions at the gym this weekend, which is a shame.

OP posts:
lurkingmurking · 01/03/2015 08:18

I made the moussaka from the recipe thread and the 'white sauce' which was cream and eggs completely disappeared! What did I do wrong?

BIWI · 01/03/2015 08:20

The sauce should have had cheese in it too? Quite a lot of Feta, which would also bulk it up.

Was your oven hot enough?

OP posts:
beautifulthing62 · 01/03/2015 08:25

Yes I did lose half a stone in weeks 1,2 and 3. Since then I've steadily gained around a pound a week so now I am 4lbs down off my starting weight. I started Bootcamp 2 weeks early so I am on week 8.
I posted a few pages ago and everyone advised me to cut the dairy. I did ubercamp for 3 days and nothing has happened (in fact I've gone up another half a pound).
I suppose I'm concerned as the scales have not gone down for 3 weeks now and in fact have been going up. Something isn't right.

beautifulthing62 · 01/03/2015 08:26

Oh and can anyone give me ratios for fat/protein/carbs for My fitness Pal?

BIWI · 01/03/2015 08:31

Around 70/20/10 - but that's a rough guide.

Have you been drinking plenty of water? If you're hungry without the dairy it would also suggest that you're not getting enough fat from the rest of your food. Was the mince that you used for your burger high fat mince? Was your tuna canned in oil rather than brine?

Are you on any medication?
Are you sleeping well?
Are you especially stressed out?

These are all things that can affect weight.

OP posts:
BIWI · 01/03/2015 08:33

I don't understand, beautifulthing. On the spreadsheet you gave your starting weight as 163.5, and your latest weight at 157.2. There are no weight gains there, just a steady loss every week.

OP posts:
CharlieSierra · 01/03/2015 08:36

BIWI I wasnt Hmm about the diet, more that you'd think someone who is constantly giving out about one thing or another and making gazillions of £££ from a diet book would make some effort to take her own advice Grin
