Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet

And The Weight Tracker

Up at silly o'clock to catch a train to Leeds so no time for anything else.

Hope your weigh-in brings you good news. But if it doesn't - don't fall into a pile of biscuits - come and rant about it here!

oooh i've just seen the veg carb counter - are we allowed to use that? is it raw weight?

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 28/02/2015 08:56

Well if you have an iThing mrsk, i can recommend 'happy scale'. Its a free app and the one i use :)

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 28/02/2015 08:58

MrsKoala · 28/02/2015 09:07

i have an ipad at home. Do apps go on that? (no idea what an app is tbh Blush )

CharlieSierra · 28/02/2015 09:14

SayraT what do you use for frying in a deep fat fryer?

Re the green beans, nothing actually tastes like chips except chips but I find the green beans the best because they actually crunch and they don't have the underlying bitterness that some veg have. I tried swede and found them vile, celeriac ok, not crispy but very strongly 'flavoured'. It's very much personal taste isn't it.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 28/02/2015 09:41

Yep, mine is on an ipad mrsk :)

I'll see if i can get a link for it...

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 28/02/2015 09:42

This should work...?

appsto.re/gb/U7dVF.i

SayraT · 28/02/2015 09:48

mrsK Yes please do use the veg carb counter...just don't change anything in the blue cells Grin

Charlie at the moment I am using veg oil but I am not actually sure what is best. I liked the green beans and will have them again, I think I was just expecting something else! I really like celeriac chips even though they don't go crisp.

SayraT · 28/02/2015 09:56

MrsK here is a graph for you MrrK Graph just keep adding your weights along the top and the graph should automatically update Smile

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 28/02/2015 09:57

Syra, i've found th best deep fried chip substitute is broccoli, it goes lovely and crisp. Not quite chip-shaped though! Grin

SayraT · 28/02/2015 10:07

I'm not really a massive chip fan, I was just looking for new things to try in the deep fat fryer Grin I will try broccoli though because I love broccoli.

I did some chicken thighs the other night, the skin was so yummy and crispy, I wish that you could buy chicken skin, they must have it with all those skinless chicken breasts they sell. Imagine just going to the supermarket and buying a bag of chicken skins Grin

Pisseslikeahorse · 28/02/2015 10:51

morning chaps
DS2 has chicken pox so been up at night and knackered in the day. On the plus side I've had a woosh and just hit 93kg after a big run this morning Grin and I'm looking allot better when I jump up and down in-front of the mirror.

BerylStreep · 28/02/2015 11:34

Morning all.

Weighed 97.6 this morning, which is a kilo down from last week!

Having Zoe Harcombe's pork & apricot salad tonight. It is amazing, you fry pork in lemon zest, sage and thyme, and use a tiny bit of apricot for flavour (about 10g per person) although you could leave it out. Serve over lettuce and peppers with a garlic yoghurt dressing.

lurkingmurking · 28/02/2015 11:55

Last night was a disaster. I feel manky this morning though and completely back on it.

Went for a clothes trying on session this morning for motivation. Size 12 trousers still a bit tight but I did get 2 dresses which I love

We've been invited to a big dressy wedding in June the all in laws. I am going to be thin!

MrsKoala · 28/02/2015 13:12

Thanks for the link Beyond. I'll check it out when i get home to the ipad next week.

Sayra, that's really kind, but i can't open it. it is asking for a password. am i being immensely dense? (not unusual when technology is involved Blush )

trashcanjunkie · 28/02/2015 15:51

Hey pisses that's bloody fantastic news - the whoosh, not the pox! Dp is aiming for 95 kilos as his target. You must be close to maintenance now, what height are you?

Excited for Monday's weigh in.

I have managed two power walks since Thursday.

One with dogs through the park lasting thirty minutes, including a 'nemesis' hill which had me properly out of breath, and feeling it in the lungs for the rest of the afternoon,

today we went on a March against Pegida - a far right group who came to Newcastle to do an anti Islam protest.

They had a turn out of two hundred to our two thousand. It was lovely to see lots of the friendly faces I've come to know and love all turned out to tell the fascist to piss the fuck off.

The rally at the end went on for over an hour, and we had walked there and back home afterward, so I reckon I did at least a couple of miles power walking, plus standing about/shuffle marching for two full hours.

Needless to say I'm at home now with my fat foot up! But feeling good about my strong body.

I'm trawling through clothes websites and making a wish list of new clothes. Even though I've still a long way to go, I've decided to smarten up my image and buy some nice clothes for myself. I'm sick of looking like a tramp next to dp, who always beautifully turned out.

CharlieSierra · 28/02/2015 16:57

I like the idea of deep fried broccoli, not sure about veg oil though, I don't think it comes in the healthy fat category if I'm remembering correctly.

I've been on a bra mission today, it wasn't easy as losing weight has made my boobs softer and bottom heavy, lovely! HmmIt was semi successful, online ordering will follow I think. Jeans tomorrow, I ran out of steam! Did buy some new make up though, which is always nice and I won't grow out of it in the next couple of months. Grin

BIWI · 28/02/2015 17:22

I have the lurgy and I'm feeling very sorry for myself. Sad

That's all I have to report.

mootime · 28/02/2015 17:31

Its been a manic week here so Ive barely looked at the thread.
BIWI sorry to hear you feel rough.
Beyond, Im going to download that now. I like a weight loss graph.
Ive come on as I am being surely tempted. Ive got in a bot of a food rut, and suddenly really craving chocolate/ cake etc. Ive been at a kids party all afternoon which didn't help.
Ive just eaten a chunk of cheese, but I still feel almost desperate for chocolate. Just making a cup of tea with almond milk so maybe that will do the trick ( although the chocolate cake in the party bags is calling my name...)
Ive not even got any dark chic or peanut butter in which normally do the trick in terms of a quick sating of the craving...

Anyway, other than that I think I may have STS or gained a bit this week. largely because I cannot seem to get enough water down me and Ive been living off coffee due to severe baby related sleep deprivation.

But the tooth is through and sleep may be our friend this week ( we can dream) so it might be time for either a spot of uber camp or some excersize...

Mrsstevejones · 28/02/2015 17:37

Toothache still here although much better. Managed swimming this morning, then collected the kids and went back in again.
B - bpc
L- green smoothie
L- tuna Mayo on lettuce and cheese coleslaw on lettuce boats
D- will be fish and roasted broccoli

Then another early night for me.

Need to clean out my mum mobile tom and I think half my DD clothes are in there!!!

Pisseslikeahorse · 28/02/2015 17:57

Hi Trashy. I'm 6,3ft and probably at maintenance now, but I'm pushing on as I want to see how far this goes.
I originally aimed at 100kg but went past that and decided that 90kg would be a fun goal to go for. (its a lighter weight range for Judo, If I compete, putting me in with the smaller boysGrin)
*fun ski slope to look at from the last year

Week 6 - Low Carb Bootcamp - Part Deux
Yuleloglatte · 28/02/2015 18:13

I have just made scotch eggs with quali's eggs and chorizo ( from this month's Good Food magazine). Faffy but gorgeous. It really helps to be creative and not rely on repeating stuff - and I really recommend the recipe.

LexLoofah · 28/02/2015 18:40

Hello all, sorry to hear you are not well BIWI, feel better soon

B - crispy prosciutto, fried egg in butter, shrooms and courgette fried in yep more butter, getting the hang of adding butter at every turn now I think, 3 cups of tea though - harder to avoid at home at the weekend than at work even though I have herbal tea in the cupboard
L - lc hot dogs, broccoli and cauli mozzarella cakes, crispy green beans - yum plus a hm valentines truffle from the freezer
D will be strip loin steak, lobster and kale all with garlic butter

Off to make DCs book character costumes for school and am not a natural when it comes to crafts so hope I can do it without more tea or anything more sinister carb wise . Oh yes and also making honey and oat bread for the kids so will have to put a peg on my nose when I comes out of the oven. I am sure the smell and thought of homemade bread triggers the release of insulin!

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 28/02/2015 18:46

Flowers biwi, hope you feel better soon

I've been at a kids party all afternoon too and to make it worse, it was at a pub!! And the frozen soundtrack was on a loop for two hours..!

Sympathy on the baking lex - I have welsh cakes to make (mmm) for Monday. Need to find ds2 something to wear at some point too... I foresee a hectic sunday!

trashcanjunkie · 28/02/2015 18:56

Dude that's incredible. Dp is really really inspired by your graph. I'm determined to nail it myself this year. I think excercise and food together will help me, and I'm so chuffed to be able to do more. Got discharged from physio on Friday. I'm allowed to go for it power walking wise, with a view to returning to running in four to six weeks, and the same with horse riding, which is terrifying and exciting all at the same time.

BIWI you poor lurgied up bugger! Flowers
