Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet

And The Weight Tracker

Up at silly o'clock to catch a train to Leeds so no time for anything else.

Hope your weigh-in brings you good news. But if it doesn't - don't fall into a pile of biscuits - come and rant about it here!

Hello all. Thanks Notso.

Today for me
B: egg mushroom and spinach muffins
L: mushroom omelette (I have been a bit crap at planning lunch this week and it shows!)
d: bolognese with cauli rice

Stuffed.

ijustwanttobeme · 26/02/2015 21:02

Well I've just sabotaged my plan to lose 4lbs in the next two weeks Sad

After dinner I had two chocolate cookies, an Oreo and then 1/2 dozen chocolate raisins!

I'm doing so well during the day, as I work in an office where there are cakes, biscuits and chocolate available most days.

It's still that evening munchies thing that gets me on occasion. Even now these six weeks later.

At least the biscuits have gone now- made DSD take the rest home with her.

I can do it, I can I can I can.......can't I ?

Gcalgske · 26/02/2015 21:10

I don't sprout them grah but I soak them overnight in coconut milk or yoghurt which makes them soft enough to crunch with my teeth. If they go through whole at least they fulfil their job as fibre. Wink

BIWI · 26/02/2015 21:29

ijustwanttobeme

Why did you do that? What on earth possessed you?

Why do you still have that stuff in the house?

Get rid of it if you can't trust yourself

Dixie I am NI too. I swear there are other NI boot campers emptying the shops of green beans.

Did a hugely long day at work today - 13 hours. Had:

B - 5 strawberries and lidl greek yoghurt. Coffee
L - Spiced cauliflower soup
D - 100g macadamia nuts
S - coffee w cream

Currently having a glass of cava though Hmm

trashcanjunkie · 26/02/2015 22:58

Gah, hello all, just a quick sms

Dp has now lost twenty pounds and is now in thefifteen stone range for the first since he can remember. I have told him he's got to do a photo for the thread.

Food today bacon and lc sausage and a fried egg. Lunch was in two halves - first one a mozzarella and pack of crayfish tails then later two slices of cheese and two slices of ham rolled up and munched. Dinner was swede and celeriac mash, buttery spinach and a chicken leg (one big un)

I have the sinking feeling that the swede and celeriac is setting my its off. Anyone else with ibs noticed? Although I know it's random. Can't eat peppers or leeks or lentils. Although I can't eat lentils anyway on lc but I love dahl.

Drank three plus Ltr water.

Off to bed now.

Going to long horn Texas bbq tomorrow for lunch. Will have coleslaw and scratchings as my sides and gonna eat lovely meat - but not too much.

Night night all

Amaxapax · 26/02/2015 23:34

I've had some lovely food today, but I've also had a bit of wine! My husband got a promotion at work, so we went out for dinner tonight. I had half a poached lobster with a lemon vinaigrette and mayonnaise and a small salad. The lobster was so rich and delicious! I had a standard glass of red with it and felt decidedly tipsy afterwards, but didn't have any cravings. I was still a bit hungry when I got home so I had a couple of small spoonfuls of Coyo and flaxseed. The Coyo is fine, but I probably won't spend the money on it again. I've tried adding flaxseed to my tuna, avocado, mayo and spinach salad for tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to the additional texture.

I'm being realistic with myself that I won't lose much this week because my husband's birthday will involve some wine, but that's okay. It's part of making this a way of eating for life, which allows me to be social. I've also made some celeriac crisps to avoid temptation by the rosemary crispbreads I've baked, so I'm pretty jazzed for those.

LexLoofah · 27/02/2015 01:39

beryl was coming on to say have bought some macadamia nuts, they are expensive but so good aren't they? Had to count 5 out and put them away otherwise would have had the whole bag

trash that's brilliant news on your DP. BBQ sounds great. There is a pig roast here once a month I might try that, sounds LC suitable.

Coconut milk and chia seeds soaking for the morning, night all

Romeyroo · 27/02/2015 07:05

Oh, reading this, I realised that I forgot to put my coconut milk and chia/flaxseeds to soak last night, I was too tired and I have a headache so I literally just fell into bed. I think I need to get some stock cubes, as the headache has been going on for about three days and salt is not helping. I have put them on to soak now, but maybe not long enough, we will see. I don't have another alternative for breakfast as need to go shopping.

Coyo - I have bought this on occasion, but I agree with gcalzske that coconut milk is cheaper and just as good. I put some of the coconut milk and flaxseed mix in a small pot to take to work for breakfast, and it worked fine.

B yesterday was the coconut milk mix
L - roast chicken thigh, cucumber slices and spinach leaves
D - green soup, 2 X cheese cubes wrapped in salami

S - I had a whole pot of plain soya yogurt during the day as I was really not feeling well, but had deadlines to meet; tried to stay off the coffee mostly successfully, but not feeling good about the soya excess - I need an alternative. Probably another little pot for taking cucumber or something like that. What other LC veg would be good for slicing and carrying?

trash, I had similar with kale, which was such a disappointment as I loved kale crisps. I have only tried celeriac a couple of times, though, and not noticed anything yet.

BIWI · 27/02/2015 07:11

trash I have noticed that celeriac can sometimes (not always though, which is odd hmm]) give me really bad wind, so maybe there is something in it that has an impact on digestive disorders?

sassandfaff · 27/02/2015 07:11

Dp on the phone yesterday.
"What we having for dinner"
Salmon cauli mash
"Awh, I want to try the green beans"

So had green beans........for the 3rd time in less than a week Hmm

Yesterday food

B- Bacon and eggs
L- chicken breast slices, left over bratwurst
D- salmon pesto, cauli mash, green beans
S- cocktail sausages, choc and Greek yogurt.

FurFoxAke · 27/02/2015 07:18

Morning all!

Yesterday's food, was
B; small amount of coconut/flaxseed porridge w coconut milk and BPC.
D; chicken salad
T; chicken (lol) and buttery kale.

(I found some woohoo! Grin

But my belly is bigger again. Hmmmmm. Okay I've had the same for breakfast and will keep on top of my water, but if my belly is still the same tomorrow, I will knock the porridge on the head.
Suspected bug in the house now as well. Ggggrrrrreeeeat.

lurkingmurking · 27/02/2015 07:29

Wow trash that's awesome for your DP!

Crap day yesterday - nothing 'bad' but not enough

B: 2 eggs scrambled, mushrooms
L: Went out with colleague and there was no sashimi left so had coconut chicken noodle soup with no noodles!
D: Forgot to defrost so had chicken, salami and a boiled egg followed by 85% choc, mascarpone and raspberries.
3 x coffee with cream

I didn't have BPC yesterday and no dodgy tummy. Shopping coming today so will try a BPC with coconut milk later and report back.

EmilyAlice · 27/02/2015 07:31

BIWI with aubergine and courgette recipes I find it much easier to roast them in the oil in the oven; saves all that endless frying! I have always done that with moussaka and I really can't detect a difference. I now do moussaka with mozzarella and parmesan instead of bechamel. We really like it.

DrDiva · 27/02/2015 08:06

I get coyo on occasion for DS, in the hope that it has some of the friendly bacteria of dairy yoghurt - if someone 15 miles has a mild tummy bug and looks in his general direction, he will get it. Trouble is, he really doesn't like the stuff (don't actually blame him!) so I have to disguise it by stirring it in to other stuff. Coconut cream is def nicer and does the job of everything bar the bacteria thing!

Yesterday's menu:
B low carb bun for one with cheese and tomato
L cauli crust pizza
D lemon, pine nut and Parmesan crusted pork escalopes with salad, followed by (hopefully) low carb cheesecake

So delicious! And had a breakthrough with DH. Our eating had rather lapsed into unhealthy habits again, cue him have stomach problems again and restless leg syndrome. I pointed out that when I was cooking the lc stuff for us (and hence much more in the way of veg) these symptoms pretty much went away. And he agreed! Hurrah, I can happily feed us both the same thing and he won't twitch for white bread. Smile

Congratulations to your DH trash !

Notso · 27/02/2015 08:11

Thanks everyone for the commiserations. DS took the news on the chin, he said he was disappointed as it is a great school but now he gets to go to school with his best friends, doesn't have to leave the house at 7:45 everyday or have to have a mobile phone Grin
Going to find out today where we are on the waiting list but am not going to appeal.

Ijustwanttobeme you can do this. Don't give in to cravings, have a drink, read a book, paint your nails, brush your teeth anything but sabotage your hard work.

I'm going out tonight for a friends birthday. I feel a bit nervous as they are all heavy drinkers, I am not anymore. I'm worried I'll either get really drunk on not munch and make a tit of myself before 10 PM or not do badly but get drunk enough to stuff my face with chips and curry sauce in the way home.

Pleaseandthankyou · 27/02/2015 08:16

At the start of this week I was a bit despondent. I had bounced up to my start boot camp weight again. I cut out cheese entirely. I had been constantly nibbling at a selection in the fridge. My bags of salted almonds have been finished and won't be replaced. I have had four glasses of red wine and a gin and tonic this week. This morning I am a new low for this bootcamp. The challenge is to keep at it over the weekend . The lesson is - just because something is allowable doesn't mean it is unrestricted. I would love to be able to record a loss on Monday

ChesterDrawers · 27/02/2015 08:21

Morning campers,

Well I tried the green bean chips and was decidedly underwhelmed. Hey were in about 25 minutes but didn't go very brown or crispy and tasted ok, but certainly not like chips. Where did I go wrong?

Today's plan:

B: BPC
Brunch: bacon x3, scrambled eggs with butter, mushrooms in butter
D: making cauli pizza for me and DS - not sure he'll eat it but I'll give it a try

Still in the 10s today so pleased last week's ill starvation hasn't resulted in a bounce back. Nice little whoosh before Monday would be welcome however.

ijustwanttobeme · 27/02/2015 08:29

BIWI and notso I am hanging head in shame. Wipes slate clean and starts again

B: ham, cheese, avocado and creamy coffee.

Fatstacks · 27/02/2015 08:56

Morning chickens :)

Going to be stricter than a strict thing this weekend.
No boooze.

Had a little run on pork scratching and jerky so thoroughly constipated and totm.
B. Chicken bacon and cream coffee.
L. Salad with pepperoni.
D. Indian chicken tikka and tandoor chicken with ff raita and salad.
S. Almond milk, coffee creamy.

Had a huge will power flex today, getting laundry ready found ration pack biccies in DP burgen and DIDN'T eat them!
Never ever have I turned away from biscuits brown before.

I high fived the dog Grin

Mrsstevejones · 27/02/2015 09:37

Apparently i have put on 4lbs since monday - lying scales. Wont be weighing again until monday. I am still trying to keep dairy to a minimum but struggled with that yesterday due to toothache.

Today
B- BPC
L - Green smoothie
D - Burgers with wilting veg from fridge smothered in butter.

This weekend i will be making stock for soup and i have a lovely bit of bone in brisket to turn into stew. Also need to go food shopping as fridge empty.

Off to feel sorry for myself.

ChesterDrawers · 27/02/2015 10:31

Just popping on to profess my undying love for BIWI tell you about my exciting morning. I've been having a little bit of a try on and, while there's not a great deal of change on the scales, things are definitely happening.

I actually took a photo of myself in one pair of jeans on February 4 when I weighed 11st 3 and today 4lbs lighter, the difference is massive. I could actually wear them, but want to wait a week or so til they fit a little bit better. Another pair I could get on but the zip kept pinging down - well not today Grin. Again, almost there. And I am actually wearing a size 12 pair that I haven't tried on for ages but they fit perfectly. They are bootcut, however, so I have reams of material stuffed into my boots, but I think they look pretty good.

So the point of this ramble is really for anyone disappointed with the scales. KOKO - this WOE isn't like a normal diet. I am amazed at the difference 4lb has made and I wish I was brave enough to post the photos to show you all.

imustbepatient · 27/02/2015 10:49

Thanks so much for your post Chester, great timing! I was indeed just feeling a bit down and frustrated after checking the scales yesterday only to find my weight up yet again.

But I do feel a bit slimmer and my rings are starting to get really loose, so I will concentrate on that. Think I might give the scales a swerve for the rest of bootcamp

Anyway, food for today:

B 2 x bacon and 2 x eggs, one tomato and some hm mayo
L BCP and will fry some LC vege in butter.
D I plan to make some greek style lamb meatballs with a little bit of feta, served with a spicy tomato sauce on buttered spinach and courgetti.

Swilling water as I type (not literally of course, my luck I'd spill it and short out the laptop...)

BerylStreep · 27/02/2015 12:22

Chester well done on the jeans front.

I'm really noticing a visible difference, and wearing clothes today that I haven't worn in a while. I started using that clothes folding method so you can see what is in your drawers.

My asthma has also disappeared, which is amazing since it has been really quite bad over recent months (think not being able to sleep because the noise of wheezing is keeping you awake). I have been gluten free for about 5 months, the only difference on bootcamp being that I have cut out carbs - chocolate, oatcakes, rice cakes & wine mainly. So I wonder does sugar, or insulin, create a inflammation response that has been causing my asthma?

On a completely different note, my new cleaners came this morning, and my house looks spotless! I am ridiculously excited about it.

FurFoxAke · 27/02/2015 12:55

Brilliant chester and beryl you've posted just as I was going to have a moan! Grin

Week six and I'm still no lighter and I'm looking bigger than, say, two weeks ago. (I had my TOTM last week)
So. Should I go back to a more strict bootcamp, mostly keep off the dairy, no more of the coconut stuff, 3 litres of water and even try and stop the BPC in the morning, (but that's a last resort if I'm honest) ?
OR should I keep going as I am, (obviously being very careful, drinking the water) but more bootcamp lite?

I know I mentioned before that this happens to me, but today I'm feeling a bit...despondent about it I suppose, especially when there are so many losers Wink around.
Trying to KOKO.
