Morning all!

Here's the Spreadsheet

And The Weight Tracker

Up at silly o'clock to catch a train to Leeds so no time for anything else.

Hope your weigh-in brings you good news. But if it doesn't - don't fall into a pile of biscuits - come and rant about it here!

Fox, try it without dairy. I was so reluctant at first, but I really don't miss it now, and I've lost 5.5 pounds in two weeks. I can see and feel the difference. I know how frustrated you must be feeling. Try it for a week and see if it makes a difference.

lurkingmurking · 27/02/2015 14:00

fox I'd definitely try no dairy.

Scales are going the right way again and a friend said this morning I was looking svelte!

Chester yey for the jeans!

LexLoofah · 27/02/2015 14:11

morning all

B - coconut milk (unsweetened from carton not the canned stuff) with chia was OK. Added some unsweetened shredded coconut, cream and raspberries. More carby than our usual eggs but nice for a change but I suspect it will not keep me going until lunch as well as an omlette or something. Cuppa and a BPC

nowitsenough · 27/02/2015 15:30

Today I had bacon and eggs for breakfast, parma ham, pate, salad and a tiny amount of left over hm veg soup for lunch. Dinner will be something with chicken breasts, maybe curry with mashed swede.

Romeyroo · 27/02/2015 16:13

Hmm, for those of you saying go without dairy, I only eat cheese. I know the idea is not to substitute things, just get used to new foods, but is there anything cheese-like but not cheese I am missing?
I know I could lose more If I gave up cheese - currently stalled - but I am thinking it is one too many things to cut out. So, I need to think of what else might do.

Worried now that the coconut milk and flax seed combo is too carby, but again, need some other ideas in the absence of eggs

FurFoxAke · 27/02/2015 16:35

Thanks all. Smile
Tbh the only dairy I have now (as I have already cut back) is a bit in my BPC. I've tried to have it without but can't.

I will go totally dairy free except for a splash in my BPC, see if that helps, and will keep reducing the amount in the BPC. Fingers crossed. I will stop the coconut on Monday if there's no improvement.
Funny how even a small amount of something could affect this isn't it?

LexLoofah · 27/02/2015 17:56

updating quickly, scoffing my lunch whilst working - why does something always become urgent on a Friday afternoon when you have planned on leaving early?

Anyway, L- salad, hm mayo, cucumber, celery, radish, 2 hb eggs & smoked trout

D - going to do the lamb donner again as was bloody lovely

have a good weekend all

Thumbwitch · 27/02/2015 18:21

Chester - if the beans didn't go brown then your oven wasn't hot enough - what temp were you cooking at? They do need to go brown, at least partially, to get the effect.

And woohoo! for better fitting clothes - my muffin has still receded a lot, despite the frigging alcohol (still haven't managed to knock it on the head)

Today:
B - lump of cheese
L - another lump of cheese plus scavengings off a roast turkey leg
D - butter-fried steak with oyster mushrooms and veg (beans and carrots)
Small lump of dark chocolate. 2 red wine spritzers (Bad Day - I know it's psychological but I hated everyone by dinner time Blush)

ChesterDrawers · 27/02/2015 19:40

I think it was 180 or so Thumb, will try again at a higher temp.

Wine on the go here too, bad week, never mind day!

CharlieSierra · 27/02/2015 20:09

Chester did you have them in a single layer on the tray? 180 should be fine, I always have to be super careful not to burn mine.

sassandfaff · 27/02/2015 20:51

chester my 1st thought was not enough olive oil?

Dp has made a variety of fat bombs again. Choc with either peanut butter, raspberries and almonds, cream, blueberries etc. But the best are the ones with coconut oil or butter. Yummy.

He made 26! But have limited it to 5. (They are truffle size.

B- eggs and bacon
L- chicken breast with skin and salad
D- crust less quiche (spinach mushrooms spring onions and pancetta with cheese) and 2 pork and leek sausages.
S- 5 fat bombs.

sassandfaff · 27/02/2015 20:57

I tried my jeans of reckoning on Thurs. My mum was all like, I bet you could fasten them if you lay down.

I didn't think so, as they felt so tight and the gap was big, but I tried anyway and she was right.

Me; hey mum you were right.
Mum; I told you.
Me; but its given me the biggest muffin top ever!

Both collapsed in a fit of giggles. Grin my whole belly was literally hanging over the waistband. It was not a pretty sight........

ChesterDrawers · 27/02/2015 21:04

Sass that's totally how I looked in my feb 4 photo and now they bloody fit. Honestly, bottle that moment, keep going and see in a few weeks how different you look.

Love the idea of you laughing with your DM though Smile

ChesterDrawers · 27/02/2015 21:06

Forgot to say thank you all for the bean/chip advice. I will try again. I'm not entirely sure you've not all been paid by my mum who's been trying to get me to eat green beans since I was three years old

SayraT · 27/02/2015 21:08

I tried the green beans too, I liked them but I didn't think they were chip like though. I didn't roast them in the oven, I cooked them in my new toy (a deep fat fryer).

sassandfaff · 27/02/2015 21:09

chester I'm pleased as punch too be truthful. I couldn't get them over my thighs 18months ago. So progress is good.

I'm always laughing with DM. She's my best friend (along with dp) I can't bare to think of being without her.

BeyondDoesBootcamp · 27/02/2015 22:02

I havent quite gone down a jean size yet, but the jeans i wear most every day are hanging off me, so it cant be too far away Grin

Thumbwitch · 27/02/2015 22:15

Chester - make sure you coat them in oil and salt before putting them in the oven, that might help. Shake them in a bag with it or something. :)

Grah0SoontobeaFatty · 28/02/2015 00:07

BIWI are Tomatoes a free for all or something that should be limited?
10 g Total Carbohydrate Type Tomatoes, canned Quantity 1 cup (240 g)

Could be quite easy to get carb creep over requirements once water steams out, leaving a lot of carbs and wouldn't that kick you out of ketosis?

FurFoxAke apart from the bpc and butter are you eating enough Fat?

If you losing nothing you might be starving yourself and then you'll lose nothing - Coconut/flax - Chicken salad, Chicken Kale if they are not good size portions you'll be missing out on micronutrients as well.

Loves my cheese omelet and bacon for breakfast everyday.
Chinese chicken and Broccoli for lunch
Mince beef and Peppers/celery/cauliflower/turnip/jalapeno with spices for supper.

ChesterDrawers · 28/02/2015 06:29

You do need to keep an eye on tomatoes Grah. I only use one tin rather than two now I thing like spag bol, chilli etc and try to split it over three or four portions to keep the carbs down.

Scales have pinged back up into the 11s which I'm a bit cross about, but my boobs are killing me today so thinking there's some pmt bloat going on. Plus yesterday was pretty dairy and wine heavy so I am going to chug my water and KOKO and let my body do its thing.

Romeyroo · 28/02/2015 07:00

Morning all
I have managed to stay asleep till the heating clicked on at just after sixSmile. DS woke a couple of times but got him back to sleep and managed a couple more hours. Hope this might be the start of getting sleep on an even keel as have had insomnia from work stress and been clearing my desk at 4am.

I am almost where I want/need to be work wise, so focusing back on self-care. I feel utterly yuk at the moment. Exercise, meditations and more rest are needed. I did a bit of a random food shop with an overtired DS (mostly consisted of trying to get the non-wholemeal pastas out of his hands and putting back the chocolate Shreddies - and me getting stressed in a what are people thinking kind of way) but I did manage to come away with too much almond milk, a roast for the weekend, salmon, tuna and lots of green veg (including green beans!). No eggs and no cheese. So need to meal plan from that.

Hope you all have a good weekend - KOKO, focus on the jeans Grin

MrsKoala · 28/02/2015 07:55

Morning all. Nice to read that the jeans are fitting Chester. I think jeans are my 'benchmark' - i have pairs in 10/12, 14 and 16. I was in my 14s comfortably before dc and the 10/12 when i met DH (6yrs ago). I really would like to get back to them. One pair is a high waisted dark indigo from FCUK and being tall they make my legs go on forever - If i do fit in them i will post a photo!

Still in sleep hell. DS1 didn't go to bed till midnight (he had a late nap in the car so not really his fault) and DS2 woke from 2am every hour on the hour, then vocally made sure i was officially up at 7. (he was 6mo yesterday Thumb - can you believe that? it feels like just yesterday i was in the hospital).

So i woke feeling pretty shit. Decided to weigh this morning as we are off to PILs later till weds. I wasn't hopeful as i have had a bad week - no 'cheats' as such, but some carbier veg (tomatoes and peas) and a little wine. Also lots of grazing rather than meals. But to my joy i have lost another lb. Hurrah!

I am 12st 12lb now. Which is 3lb off my pre baby weight and 10lbs off my 30yo size 10/12 jeans weight. :) I can't believe i'm actually going to do this!!!!

I bought the IPD book and (while i don't identify with a lot of the things they say and i don't agree with some of it) i am really enjoying it. I would recommend it to anyone for a bit of inspiration and morale boosting.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. :)

MrsKoala · 28/02/2015 08:03

Just looked at the weight tracker thing. Can i do a graph for myself?

SayraT · 28/02/2015 08:29

On the weight tracker there should already be a graph. If you mean on the spreadsheet then I'd prefer not to. You can copy the data and make your own spreadsheet and graphs. That's what I do.

I think the one on the tracker used to go the "wrong" way. It showed weight lost but the line went up instead of down. I didn't like that!

MrsKoala · 28/02/2015 08:44

Ah yes, i'm such a twat. i thought those were just graphs for the biggest losers of the week named above. Ignore me. i am utterly useless at excel. I could no more make my own spreadsheet and graphs than fly to the moon - but it's nice you thought i could Grin

Thanks
