Evening everyone. I hope you're all ready, prepared and raring to go!

Here is the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness:

for you to enter your starting weight

Have a good look at the tabs at the bottom, as there you will find the rules, the list of allowed veg and lots of other really useful information.

I've also started the questions thread , so if you have anything you need to ask, that's the best place to ask it. The chat threads move really quickly in the first weeks, so this thread is the best place to ask your questions.

And this time around, I thought it might be useful to have a thread to post about good/interesting low carb products that you come across:

Here

Good luck!

Once you're fat-adapted, you'll be able to do a run without eating. I promise!

Happy birthday for tomorrow, ijust! My favourite low carb cinema treat is biltong. I get it from Waitrose. It's a little pricey, but very low carb, perfect for munching and absolutely delicious.

ijustwanttobeme · 25/01/2015 22:07

amaxapax great idea, thanks. Will get some tomorrow morning.

MoJangled · 25/01/2015 22:49

Thread moving too fast to keep up with, but well done everyone for making it through the first week. I've felt great to be refocused, loving the food as always, and according to the scales (daily weigher) have lost a bit already - will be officially confirmed tomorrow. I hope!

Today:
B: BPC
Brunch: bacon, eggs, mushrooms in butter, coffee with cream
Linner: roast lamb, buttered cabbage (was planning an avocado but it had gone brown and yucky)
2l water, having more before bed

MrsKoala · 25/01/2015 23:10

Thanks for all the coleslaw info. Lex - i love the idea of fennel, so will defo add that. Quite intrigued about raw celeriac too.

L - Large bowl of cauli and leek soup with gorgonzola stirred in.
D - Salmon with a herb crust, mash celeriac, sprouts and cauli

I'll be able to look on the PC tomorrow, couldn't get on it today at all.

I didn't realise cabbage, sprouts and green beans were so high in carbs Shock

Will do some wise veg shopping tomorrow.

LexLoofah · 26/01/2015 01:14

6.5lbs off!! I am over the moon!

graduatedbob · 26/01/2015 07:15

Fingers crossed for lots of losses for you all today. I stayed the same on week 3 for me, which is to be expected but still Sad when I have a load of weight to lose. Still 11lbs off in three weeks. Had moved to BCL but will be super strict this week as I have a weekend conference to attend with work at the weekend and no idea what food I will be eating.

Thumbwitch · 26/01/2015 07:17

4lb off here, hurrah!

Not a great day though - failed on breakfast yet again but did have a cup of fennel tea (a pint cup)
Lunch was grilled barramundi (fish) with salad and french dressing, the boys ate my chips and drank my free can of fizz
Dinner is haggis, with mashed neeps and green beans. I'm obviously not having the potato mash and will pass on the carrots too because of the haggis.

~2L of water (if you include the pint of fennel tea).

PseudoBadger · 26/01/2015 07:21

5lbs off Smile

sassandfaff · 26/01/2015 07:21

I'm down 2lbs just for this week, but lost 10lbs sine Jan 1st.

Dp hugged me last night and went for a squeeze of my bottom and exclaimed 'god you're disappearing before my eyes'

. Bum is smaller.

Almahart · 26/01/2015 07:24

AttitcusFinchIsMyFather · 26/01/2015 07:25

I am so impressed with this way of eating. We generally eat pretty well at home and I'm a cook from basics cook, but my weakness is sweet things - I also do a lot of baking. I went on Sertraline last year (a number of things happened to tip me over the edge a little bit) and I started piling the weight on. I'm only 5"1 so any weight really shows. I put it down to age (44 nearly 45) and the tablets and tried a number of ways to shift the weight which really accumulates round my middle.

It was, however making me miserable and making me think I'd have to choose between the tablets and the weight piling on....but the tablets are brilliant for me....so that has won.

When I weighed myself in January, I was heavier than I'd ever been and my clothes were tight. Since 8 January, when I started, I've lost nearly 6llbs and have really started to think about what I'm eating.....and, yay, 3 llbs this week - I even had my daughters birthday party on Sat (lots and lots of cake and temptations) and we were out yesterday for lunch. So, if you've read this far, thank you for being patient and otherwise, I'll stop rambling and tuck into my mushrooms, 2 egg scrambles and lovely smoky bacon......Have a good day everyone.

Notso · 26/01/2015 07:38

Morning all am overjoyed as I've lost 9lb Shock I'm bang on 14 stone now.

I made the moussaka for dinner last night, it was delicious. I've never liked aubergine before, even my fussiest DC ate it.

Breakfast today is tea with milk and Greek yoghurt
Lunch ham and veg soup (celery, leek and a tiny bit of carrot)
Dinner undecided

cymrukernow · 26/01/2015 07:46

5lbs down, very chuffed! Last time I did boot camp tho I lost 7lbs in first two weeks then nothing at all for the next three, when other people were experiencing weight loss later on. Seems everyone's different in how LC works.

ijustwanttobeme · 26/01/2015 08:03

2lb off. That's good for me. Well done everyone who has had positive results today.

Off out now to begin my birthday celebrations...

Breakfast out somewhere with DP, then to cinema to see Theory of Everything, then family coming over for dinner.

I'll move over to the week 2 thread now

nowitsenough · 26/01/2015 09:14

One and a quarter lbs off for me. Tbh I'm glad I lost anything, didn't feel like I had. I've probably been eating too much coleslaw and my period were large, but also totm so maybe next week will be better.

I can't seem to put it on the spreadsheet from my phone so will do that later.

Notso · 26/01/2015 09:55

Thanks for cream cheese advice Lurking I might give them a try tomorrow.

Newbiecrafter · 26/01/2015 12:00

Morning everyone.

Well done to everyone -there have been some great losses! Yihoooo!

I weighed in this morning and am down only 0.2 lbs Blush

I have been eating well. I haven't had any dairy apart from butter since jan 1st. I had a diet coke (which is very unusual as I hate the stuff) when I was out one night last week and a sip of apple juice absent mindedly at a school info morning. I'm still. It hitting my 3 ltrs of water but am probably drinking about 2 ltrs. I also have 1 or 2 bpc's.

I suffer from acid indigestion and Last week I had terrible reflux so my HP has put me onto omeprazole as I have a funny thing going on with my throat that doesn't seem to be thyroid related.

So could the diet coke or omeprazole or Caffeine be causing the uber slow loss?

I am eating lots of fat. Plenty of protein and low carb veg, at each meal.

Any thoughts please? Earlier in the week I weighed myself and I was 181.8 so was convinced I was on my way to a 1lb loss. I am going to keep going but would like to figure out what is causing me to almost stall.

Oh, and I've also been getting muscle ache in my hamstrings so wondering if i need more salt or something.

Thanks so much everyone,

Xxx
