Just take it as it comes Shro. You can always call target when you reach a weight that suits you and where you feel comfortable to maintain.

I had a massive clear out of my wardrobes not long since. I ruthlessly turned out all the bigger things so that I can't put weight back on or I'll have to buy new and I'm not buying new in big sizes ever again! I sent all the decent stuff to the local hospice shop and the scrattier things went into the fabric recycling at the tip! Now I'm happily filling the room in the wardrobe with nice things instead of the rather dated outsized stuff. Its a sheer delight to be able to buy off the peg in high st stores instead of from specialist shops. I was fat but not big boned and the stuff in the outsized shops always hung of my shoulders and trailed on the floor. Now I can buy from the petite ranges. I can get sale stuff too wooohooo!!! Stick with it folks its really worth it.Grin

Bum... I just bought a tub of coconut pieces.. didnt have my glasses on but really thought they would be ok and was looking forward to them .. but sadly not .. pack says 15.2g carbs... Bum

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 01/08/2014 15:04

I will stick with it. :)

Had a pretty rubbish day due to class in the morning then 8 failed blood test attempts and then was straight in town in a rush, so today so far has been:

B- BPC
a pepperami and a cheese string after class (all I could get and had to go straight to get bloods done.
And a bag of sugar free toffee from Thorntons Blush, in my defence, I really was feeling faint and it was the closest shop. I had to stop for a few mins in class twice because I felt so dizzy and faint and was told off by the instructor for having BPC and no breakfast and not to drink BPC Hmm

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 01/08/2014 15:06

Laska What did you buy it for? I buy dessicated coconut but only a small amount gets used so it doesn't work out too high.

ponygirlcurtis · 01/08/2014 15:47

Oh dear Schro hope you feeling better after feeling so dizzy.

What's best to eat to give me energy and combat feeling knackered? I'd normally glug some diet coke but avoiding it as much as possible. Having a mint tea instead but would appreciate some ideas.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 01/08/2014 16:01

I'm okayish atm.

What about iced coffee?

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 01/08/2014 16:36

Hi all. Have been for a lc shop extravaganza. Firstly lidl-lots of lovely Parma hammy type stuff and dead cheap posh cheeses fir next week. Big block of manchego for two quid. Then sainsbos-delouis mayo is on offer, as is long life unsweetened almond milk-a pound a carton and my treat- douwe Egbert have flavoured coffees for two pound. Little jars so will hide from the thieving mongrels lurking in my house, but chocolate flavour! Bliss, just the smell.

ponygirlcurtis · 01/08/2014 17:02

Unfortunately I don't like coffee. Sad Wish I did!

sassandfaff · 01/08/2014 18:33

I love the smell of coffee but can't stand the taste.

Thanks Biwi and others who replied. I did a little reading and both vodka and diet coke have no carbs, although not ideal as apparently your body chooses to burn alcohol 1st over both fat and carbs, but it's the best of the worst!

I am back on the 9ish train anyway so even though I can drink like a fish, I will restrain myself and the time limitations help.

I didn't sleep a wink last night. I can occasionally have trouble sleeping but usually get to sleep eventually. Any ideas? Can sleep be a problem when lcing?

SayraT · 01/08/2014 19:13

Well done miffy that is fantastic Grin

marshy well done on not giving in to emotional eating, I think a lot of us on the last BC struggled with emotional eating. Good luck at the leaving do.

sniffy breakfast can be anything, sometimes I have leftovers from dinner, cheese, eggs (I mainly have eggs), sausages, yogurt, berries, BPC, fried mushrooms, bacon...

schro I think that you shouldn't worry too much about the number, go by how you feel and look. I think some people who have ended up at maintenance or very close (maybe eva and stunt) are not quite where they thought they would be when they started this WOE but look and feel good.

Hope you have recovered from your blood tests?

Why did instructor say no to BPC? Did you ask?

laska were you just looking for something "nice" to eat? If its coconutty you are after then you could try a spoonful of coconut cream (make sure it is cream and not milk or creamed coconut, it has to be coconut cream).

pony not sure if it will work but since BPC makes people so energised could you try and spoonful of coconut oil?

ohwhat I also had a LC shop today. If another LCer had seen my basket they would have known! Chicken, duck legs, beef brisket, courgettes, double cream, soft cheese, coconut cream, butter and eggs Grin

sass I think I sleep better when on this WOE, I know others wake up with more energy? If you've just started (not sure if you are new) then maybe you need to adjust to something?

I had a good day today. Food wise I had:

B: Eggs in a cup, coffee with cream
L: Two egg omelette with mushrooms and some lettuce, cucumber and peppers
D: Courgetti with chicken and bacon in a cream cheese sauce

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 01/08/2014 19:22

Sayra Because he's a "level 4 nutritionist and it's a waste of money" also told me I'd end up having a mini heart attack. In his defence though, he doesn't knoe that I am lc eo probably thought I was adding all that fat on top of a carby diet.

I'm booked in for a couple of weeks from now tomtry bloods again, still feel a bit rubbish from all the needle sticks, no idea why.

Didn't feel like cooking so had a mixed kebab with salad, hot sauce and no bread or onions.

BIWI · 01/08/2014 19:57

Schro - what else are you eating? If I was your trainer I'd be concerned about you being faint as well.

OP posts:
SchroSawMargeryDaw · 01/08/2014 20:05

I know he was right to be concerned, he's a lovely guy, I just tend not to do breakfast as it makes me feel sick.

I vary from day to day some days I over eat and some days I wont at all, I just forget tbh.

It is something that I need to sort out, I know. It's just not often that I actually get hungry.

I'm going to try writing a food diary, I think.

BIWI · 01/08/2014 20:24

To be fair, I never eat before I go to the gym, and if I go for a run I prefer to go in a fasted state. But then I've never felt dizzy either!

Have you had your blood pressure checked?

OP posts:
SchroSawMargeryDaw · 01/08/2014 20:49

My BP is pretty much constantly low due to Postural Orthastatic Tachycardia Syndrome (usually in the 80's over 50s, sometimes a bit higher, sometimes lower...), problem is that it can be fine for weeks and then it just strikes out of nowhere. When it strikes it's usually time for me to start dosing up on salt (I am now seriously sick of the stuff).

I think part of the problem was that Insanity has a load of jumping in it, and had a ton more this week than last week. He has suggested that I try Metafit as it is about the same intensity, but less jumping. Probably scared the guy half to death that I am going to dislocate a hip in his class! :o

Think I might just try the 30 day shred again.

Body of an old woman! :o

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 01/08/2014 20:51

In fact, it has so much jumping that I wear 4 bras to it. Hmm And got so warm that I stripped my top off today. Blush

Hi guys, sticking my head back in after my two week holiday....suffice to say it was a carb fest and I've gained a shocking 9lb after losing 2st 3lb at the end of the last boot camp.

Never mind, I knew I was going to derail on holiday. Straight back on it today - I've a feeling the carb flu will be horrendous over the next few days though.

B - BPC

Pop back in later after work to catch up....

BIWI · 02/08/2014 10:05

Good luck pingufan! Hope you had a lovely holiday.

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 02/08/2014 10:22

I need a belt! I can remove my jeans without unbuttoning them. I have lost a pound or two, but I feel loads thinner.

miffy49 · 02/08/2014 11:16

Great isn't it! That's the best thing about LC, even if you think the weight isn't going you still get smaller. I think its because once you get over the first week and all the water loss you do actually just lose fat. Think of the difference between a pound of suet and a pound of lean steak. The fat is big and fluffy so just losing a pound removes a good length off the waistline!

Now just wait until you have to start drilling more holes in your belt!

StuntNun · 02/08/2014 11:16

I love that feeling OhWhat. I've lost one centimetre from my waist so I hope to be joining you in the baggy trousers brigade by the end of Bootcamp!

SayraT · 02/08/2014 11:45

Thats great ohwhat and stunt

I am like this ----> Grin just now as some friends just told me I looked trimmer and I measured and they were right Smile I just measured and since January I've lost 7.1 inches off my waist and 2 inches from my hips Grin

Food for today:

B/L: Eggs in a cup, 2 rashers of bacon, fried mushrooms and a coffee with cream
D: Leftover chicken and bacon courgetti
S: Probably some cucumber and pepper sticks and later tonight a spoonful of coconut cream for dessert if I "need" it

Hope everyone has a good weekend, looking forward to the weigh in as I weighed 5 lbs less today Smile

miffy49 · 02/08/2014 12:12

Wow SayraT that's brilliant! Doesn't it make you feel good when someone notices? Smile

BIWI · 02/08/2014 13:32

Woo hoo! Flowers
