Morning all. Sorry for the late start of the thread.

Spreadsheet of Fabulousness is here

and we also have our lovely Weight Tracker

Hope you all have a good week!

And interested to see how you fared after Ubercamp, those of you who braved it!

That's a lot of bacon Schro!

My menu didn't go according to plan today because DS1 (11) and DS2 (8) decided to make lunch! They made chicken soup which was pretty low carb apart from a bit of flour to thicken it.

B: three eggs scrambled, BPC, tea
L: chicken soup
D: sirloin steak and salad with vinaigrette

Apart from milk in my tea I'm pretty much sticking to
Ubercamp, only 20g of carbs today. It seems to have suppressed my appetite so I'm not sure that I'm eating enough. But DS3 has back teeth coming through so I'm not getting enough sleep as well so I'm just going to go with the flow until things settle down.

I am very conventional, I have the skinny jeans of truth. I tried them on today and there's still a bit of muffin top but soon I will wear them.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 29/07/2014 21:36

Stunt It was lazyness really, and it helps that I love bacon.

No burger for you either then? I have no appetite either and have worked out that my 12 slices of bacon was less than 700 calories so I'm relyin on bpc and mayo to bump up the calories and fat.

StoneTheFlamingCrows · 29/07/2014 22:24

Hi all - sorry to join the party late but I was on holiday last week.

I lost about a stone last bc, and was doing well eating lots of lovely salads in Italy, but then went to a friends wedding there and have been a carby twat ever since. Not surprisingly have gained a few back, but I am hoping that most of it is water weight and that the earlier part of the week limited the damage.

On induction for a new job ATM, and have free lunch - maxed out on carbs today but I noted that I probably could have filled up on salad and cheese if I had chosen to. So for the rest of this week I will do standard bc, do next week ubercamp and then take it from there.

So will be joining you all tomorrow if that's ok? Smile

StuntNun · 29/07/2014 22:55

You're a bad influence Schro .

I think I'm going to have a burger and an egg for breakfast. Sort of a muffinless McMuffin iyswim.

BIWI · 29/07/2014 23:45

trinity:

B - baked egg things (bacon, egg, avocado, feta) with mushrooms

perfect!

L - chicken, avocado and mayo, with little gem and cucumber

equally perfect

S - salami ducks, chicken thigh

I have no idea what a salami duck is, but it sounds processed!

D - burger, cheese, bacon, coleslaw, gherkins. Choc cheesecake pot.

^Home-made burger? If not, did you check the ingredients, and the carbs? More processed meat with the bacon. Was it home-made coleslaw? If not, did you check the carb count? And what the bloody hell do you mean by a chic cheesecake pot?!!!

Sayra, I think all kinds of helath issues come back to unhealthy eating. I always notice the same too (but not kidney stones in my case).

Marking place....

trinitybleu · 30/07/2014 06:53

biwi salami ducks Grin Grin Grin I meant was ducking at the mention of salami as I knew you'd tell me off Smile But I love it and it's carb free!

Asda Dry Aged burgers and yes, I did check the ingredients Wink . They're pretty good. Home made coleslaw (well, bag of pre prepped veg, plus Hellmans and white wine vinegar)

Choc cheesecake pot - cream cheese, Greek yog, double cream and a sprinkle of sugar free cocoa powder. Considering I am usually an every day and one-bar-is-not-enough kind of girl, to go this long without a sniff of chocolate was amazing. OH ate up a random bar of my favorite choc in front of me on Monday and just couldn't get it out of my head.

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 30/07/2014 07:23

Morning. Was terribly good yesterday. Bacon an two eggs. Parma ham and two cherry toms. Pork kebabs with courgette and mushrooms and salad.
(Top tip for non shrivelled grilled mushrooms-marinade in oil and salt-they taste delicious) I'm uber camping this time, so what is good snacking? Got pork scratchings-hate them but forced them down.

StoneTheFlamingCrows · 30/07/2014 07:38

Why force them down oh what? Life is too short to eat food you don't enjoy. There must be something else that will do the job?

Smile
StoneTheFlamingCrows · 30/07/2014 07:38

How about hard boiled eggs?

Firsttimer7259 · 30/07/2014 08:40

I made low carb bread yesterday and had it for breakfast w butter and marmite - couldn't believe I was so happy to have toast. Recipe is on a thread here somewhere - flax meal, ground almond and eggs.

Firsttimer7259 · 30/07/2014 08:46

Today
B toast butter marmite!!!
L chicken thighs corvette
D mince and salad - bit of cheese

Extras: hard boiled eggs, Greek yog, coffee w cream or almond milk, olives

I'm still struggling in the evenings, tiredness and emotional eating. Weightloss stalled, I'm probably eating too much but hoping ill settle down again in next few days. There's been snacking in cheese and salamis

questions2008 · 30/07/2014 08:46

my treadmill is fixed! Engineer had been and gone this morning. Grin

I conked out last night putting DS to sleep. I'm still keeping carbs low, using vegetables almost as a garnish...

Yesterday:
B - 2 fried eggs & black coffee
L - 150g mince with 2 spring onions, 2 mushrooms, 2 cherry tomatoes and dollop of mayo (this was yummy!)
S - left over pork belly, half a slice of cheddar (trying to stay dairy free)
D - Left over steak and salmon bits, slice of mortadella, half an aubergine

Have to have a working lunch at a hotel today so will have some sort of salad.

Talking about health benefits, over the last few years due to my very low levels of water, I found I was regularly developing spots with the onset of my period. I've now been drinking 4-6 litres of water every day for almost 4 weeks and this period, no spots! My skin is clear, which is also due to more stable hormone levels from the LCing.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 30/07/2014 08:48

Stunt. muffinless mcmuffin sounds lovely, have bacon on just now so think I will do that for lunch.

ponygirlcurtis · 30/07/2014 10:04

Just had boiled eggs mashed in butter, first half-litre of water down too. Feeling a little low today, not sure why - maybe the tiredness. Struggling with motivation at work. Sad But physically feeling ok - although dry mouth still - and have lots in the fridge to eat in the way of cold roast chicken, salad, avocados (that'll be lunch sorted). Anyway, upwards and onwards!

Pisseslikeahorse · 30/07/2014 10:24

been a bit down, think its lack of food so as a warning and note to self, make sure your eating enough. and you won't get into bloody stupid arguments over shitting fitness pal

b. 3 eggs bacon mushrooms + BPC
l. yogurt & cream
d. roast chicken cauliflower

lots of water

Treasures · 30/07/2014 13:05

Fell off wagon last night Blush and had red wine, digestive biscuits x 4 and raspberry sorbet. At one point I was searching for a Milky Bar that had caught my eye, but DD had hidden it. I'm grateful to her now!

This morning: upset stomach. I wonder if that's related.

Not eaten yet, although the upset has gone I don't feel hungry. I know I will want rubbish again come the evening - it is always my downfall. I'm even considering hypnotherapy to combat it!

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 30/07/2014 13:53

Nigella. In the "I quit sugar" book, the write suggests mixing a table spoon of coconut oil with a tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder, she says that it's usually enough to stave cravings off. Not the best on BC I guess but might be better?

NigellasGuest · 30/07/2014 15:02

Schro - thank you that's worth a try. I do have coconut oil in the house and will have a look for unsweetened cocoa powder.....

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 30/07/2014 17:04

I use

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 30/07/2014 17:06
  • Hershey's cocoa powder, bought from Asda and has lasted ages.
herecomesthsun · 30/07/2014 18:29

I have been feeling a bit dizzy on standing - long term low BP- and went for a check up at my GPs. Saw a nurse.

We discussed weight etc.

"ooh you've lost a lot of weight -13kg - since 2006."

I mentioned I had lost even more but put it back on, and was low carbing.

"oooh I hope you're not overdoing it"

I said I was pre-diabetic and was cutting out as many carbs as possible

"oooh make sure you eat enough, you need them for brain power"

I thought that I'd better not push it any further!

Then she said "now are you drinking enough water?"

oh, yes, a fair amount really

"that's what it'll be, this dizziness, you not drinking enough water. That'll be the answer, stand up carefully and drink more water"

(!)

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 30/07/2014 18:35

I have long term low BP too, caused by POTS. Lots of extra salt and some caffeine helps a lot, you will need more salt than usual.

I've noticed that I have more dizzy spells on LC, I just crazy up the salt, water and have a bpc or a sugar free red bull (I know most are against energy drinks but I genuinely need them or will end up fainting).
