and we also have our lovely Weight Tracker

Hope you all have a good week!

And interested to see how you fared after Ubercamp, those of you who braved it!

It has the opposite effect on me too, but it works as an awesome thickener apparently and I've been toying with the idea of making a "bulletproof" style shake with it and almond milk. :)

Oh my, yes the brain fog! Mines is still there a little sometimes but it's usually when I have not been eating enough fat. Down to 1 pregabalin a day now, will hopefully be off them at the end of the week, lc does miraculous things. :)

Iamblossom · 31/07/2014 13:26

What would you lot choose from this Pizza Express Menu? Am uber camping.....Sad

StuntNun · 31/07/2014 13:31

Check out their salads Blossom. Pizza Express are great about making changes so if you ask for a different dressing or for them to leave something out such as the doughsticks then they will do it. We get cheese-free pizza in there for DS3 who's dairy-intolerant.

Iamblossom · 31/07/2014 13:32

actually that's a good point I wonder if the antipasti dish is listed as so carby because it has dough balls in it!!!

trinitybleu · 31/07/2014 13:43

sass I had vodka and coke at the weekend and still lost ... but not drinking at all would be better Smile

Yesterday:
B - leftover oven baked egg things
L - 3 egg omlette with bacon, mushrooms and cheese, hm coleslaw with Hellmans
S - greek yog and cream with a teaspoon of cocoa powder
D - mixed tandoori starters with salad, lamb passanda, 2 poppadoms

Today:
B - 2 Babybel, greek yog
L - egg mayo
D - pork stir fry (pak choi, mushrooms, peppers, spring onions, broccoli)

trinitybleu · 31/07/2014 13:45

blossom went last week and had the antipasto (no bread sticks) and then pollo pancetta salad with added goats cheese and got them to leave out the sweet onions.

sassandfaff · 31/07/2014 13:52

trinity it's not the weight as such that bothers me, it's the thought of losing my fat burning status and being in carb burning and then having to do the whole process again.

I think I may not be making sense?! Perhaps Biwi can clear my confusion? Confused

Can't scroll back to see who it was, but I would choose the nicoise sald without dressing and dough sticks ( or whatever it said) Smile

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 31/07/2014 15:06

I'm adding some veg and maybe a little dairy back in, might wait till the weekend for the dairy though. Losses are not the same on the meat fast as they are on eggs, I'm actually losing a little slower I think.

Still haven't eaten as Tesco's cafe is crap and despite advertising roast chicken and stuff, they don't actually sell it. :( Not even a salad. To make up for it, DP and I are going to have a huge meat platter tonight, and I am currently cooking 97% sausages. :)

Ohwhatfuckeryisthis · 31/07/2014 17:05

I've been good still. Mushrooms with a slice of flax toast ( loads of butter) then went shopping. Oh bollox, trying to find somewhere to eat is tough. In the end I event to Burger King, has two cheese burgers,-but dumped the buns. So a bit of dairy, but as it's sliced. "Cheese" it's probably jot real dairy. ( I know the burgers are ok as they are gf) A black coffee and bottle of water. Starving so another slice toast and sainsbos butter with added sea salt. Tea is challenging me though.
My aim is to break through the stone barrier before Monday.

StuntNun · 31/07/2014 17:18

For future reference OhWhat, Burger King will make you a bunless double cheeseburger if you ask for it.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 31/07/2014 18:45

Ended up having spicy pulled pork, salad and a bit of the kids veg for dinner. :)

CantEvenKeepAnOrchidAlive · 31/07/2014 19:39

Well, since yesterday afternoon, my digestive system seems to have slowed right down Hmm I'm not going toilet, I have a total loss of appetite and haven't eaten a full meal since lunch yesterday. What can I take to encourage bowel movements so I get my appetite back? I don't like not eating properly.

Pisseslikeahorse · 31/07/2014 20:27

hello all,

b. yogurt BPC
l. pig snacks & chicken leg (I was working and unable to get out)
d. roast chicken salad mayo
w. 9 pints

SayraT · 31/07/2014 21:18

canteven not sure if you are new to LCing or not. If you are then in can be quite normal to poo less on this WOE. Rather than going every day, I now go every 2/3 days. I think that your body just uses more of the food you are eating so that there is no waste.

If you are constipated then plenty of water and upping the fat can help. Others find that linseeds work for them, I think you can either just add them to yogurt or soak them and drink them.

The loss of appetite is also normal.

Glad you are feeling better pisses and enjoy your holiday Grin

ponygirlcurtis · 31/07/2014 21:49

Hello everyone. miffy can I just say what an amazing loss! Very inspiring. I totally agree re this as a WOE - I'd been cutting back on carbs a lot prior to doing the bootcamp, and I really noticed the blood sugar dips that I'd get when I did have some. I'm not getting that at all at the moment. Or the monster hunger.

Another slight challenge today in that I was out of the house all day and limited in what I could choose to eat - had a day out at Ikea.

B: nothing (water and then tea mid-morning - without sweeteners, a first!)
L: chicken breast with veg and cous cous - did have a little of the cous cous as it had the veg through it but left about 80% of it.
S: roast chicken.
D: rest of the pork belly roast, with leeks, mushrooms and courgettes cooked in butter and with some cream cheese mixed in.

Plus, this is day 5 without an alcoholic drink, which is something of an achievement for me anyway! Smile

readyforno2 · 31/07/2014 22:08

Miffy- wow! That's a brilliant loss. You must be thrilled.

B - black coffee
L - Bolognese with salad
D - lamb shoulder fillet with cabbage, bacon and double cream, broccoli fried in the lamb fat

About 5/6 pints of water, not enough as I've been at the trainer and have proper dry mouth..

CantEvenKeepAnOrchidAlive · 31/07/2014 22:27

Thanks Sayra. Its a more constipated/bloatedness feeling I'm getting, like I need the toilet to relieve but not able to. I drink plenty of water so will try up my fat. Glad to hear loss of appetite is normal but I find it hard to force myself to eat when not hungry. Couldn't finish my dinner of rump steak, garlic fried mushrooms and brocolli.

I'll give it a day or 2 and if no improvement, linseeds it is.

CantEvenKeepAnOrchidAlive · 31/07/2014 22:33

On the plus side - my skin hasnt been this clear since I breastfed 3 years ago! Always suffered with hormonal spots but the last 5/6 days I haven't had any new ones.

BIWI · 31/07/2014 23:13

Cant - try taking a high strength vitamin C tablet - a 1000mg one (most of the soluble/fizzy ones are high strength - but just check the ingredients).

Or, a strong, black coffee.

Lots of water - try drinking hot water.

Some exercise - a brisk walk or a run.

Lots of fat.

Are you actually eating enough green veg? You should be getting most of your carbs in the form of veg/salad, to help with this issue.

If all else fails, I can 'recommend' Thornton's sugar-free (diabetic) toffees and chocolate bars. But be warned - if you buy a bag of toffee, don't eat them all in one go! (Been there, got the t-shirt - as well as a pulled muscle from the diarrhoea that followed Blush)

BIWI · 31/07/2014 23:15

Sass - gin and slimline or vodka and slimline, or Bacardi and Diet Coke would be good choices, although obviously they are full of artificial sweeteners. In your situation, though, this is the best solution.

You should be OK. You'd only really have to go through carb flu again if you had eaten a whole load of carbs again.

Good luck. It's one of the hardest things about this WOE, making sure that you can cope with these kind of events!

Thanks for the comments folks. It has taken a very long time to get it off though which is why its really important to have a sustainable way of eating.

After throwing a tantrum earlier in the week about my endless stall I tried on a top that I bought on-line for a wedding in a couple of weeks time. Had to send it back as its too big! Shock That really perked me up! Smile

sniffysnifferson · 01/08/2014 08:02

Well done miffy, annoying you now have to found a new top!

well I had a sneaky weigh in this morning and I'm down 2lbs so far this week, Thats 6lb in 10 days!

Has anyone ideas for breakfast, i'm getting a little fed up of omlette, scrambled and boiled eggs now!

Marshy · 01/08/2014 08:29

Quick check in from me. I'm doing ok. Have had a few stresses going on the last couple of days but have managed to avoid the emotional eating, well apart from a spoonful of peanut butter which I hope wasn't too bad. Scales still showing a downward slope.

I have been invited to eat out for a colleague's leaving do tonight so that will be a challenge but I'm determined not to be swayed!

Have a good day everyone

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 01/08/2014 08:56

Insanity time again!

Well done Miffy and woo hoo for the top being too big.

All of my clothes are getting too big now but I am reluctant to buy any more.

150lbs again, hoping to break through to the 40's by next week.

I was aiming to lose another 2 stone at least, was hoping to get to around 8, but I am measuring 28 underbust, 30 waist and 37 hips, I don't know if another 2, nearly 3 stone will be too much now?

miffy49 · 01/08/2014 12:31

Do you eat dairy Sniffy? I used to do myself a continental style plate with bits of ham and sliced cheeses. Occasionally a bit of salami (but don't tell Biwi!) I think we all tend to find what suits and stick with it after awhile. After all, most people have pretty much the same thing for breakfast every day but hit the panic button when cereal isn't on the cards any more. When you get to BCLite theres always Greek yoghurt and berries.

It did feel good packing that top up and labelling it 'too large'! Hubby wants to go to M&S this afternoon for a new shirt (so much for low fat diets, hes put weight back on! Shock) I may find an excuse to poddle off into the ladies dept. Grin
