it probably is the finality of the divorce making him wonder if it is all a mistake, I got a lump in my throat when I opened my decree absloute even though I was very over my ex just because it was all final

nikkim · 30/10/2004 03:20

lol essbee my chaotic house is open to anyone!! I am in Lancashire

turquoise · 30/10/2004 03:21

You'd be very welcome essbee! Unfortunately I'm in the US.

turquoise · 30/10/2004 03:22

Why do you so want to be out tomorrow night?

I am in blackpool as featured in holidays from hell tonight!! We are offer our own unique spin on a night out!

turquoise · 30/10/2004 03:25

I've never been through anything like what you two have, but I know the worst thing is having no hope, not even a tiny flicker. And it sounds as though he's given you a bit of that tonight, yet you know in your heart it's wrong?

nikkim · 30/10/2004 03:26

do you have friends you can go out with or local mumsnetters you could ask

turquoise · 30/10/2004 03:26

It's getting on for half ten here.

having no hope is what causes the pain as everything looks so dark and hopeless. I watche a home video of myself when I was at my lowest and the haunting look on my face is awful. I looked physically ill. But I did get over it and have a fab life now.

well the offer is here if you want it although I am probably a bit far.

nikkim · 30/10/2004 03:31

although not quite as far as the US

nikkim · 30/10/2004 03:33

but if at some time in the future you felt like a break we have a spare room, although we also have a bonkers dog and a manipulative cat - not to mention a wild three year old!!

( two fish as well but thy don't cause any trouble!)

turquoise · 30/10/2004 03:34

Well, just hold on to that "almost certainly" wrong - then a tiny bit of hope can't hurt. Maybe by the time you decide it's certainly wrong, that hope will have got you through a few more dark days and you'll be that little bit stronger. Does that make sense?
I probably shouldn't be saying any of this since I don't know enough about your situation.
