ive been a single parent now for oevr 7 years
i chose to be alone

i cant imagine myself being settled again and sharing the parenting responsibility-its been so long

but i dont want to be alone for the rest of my life! im worried that i will be though as we are very close and for someone to come in our lives it would affect the dynamics

Well this is all a bit rubbish!!

I've been single for about one anda half years, and dd lives about 10 mins away. I don't have the day-to-day demands of children, though dd is here alot. I do have more choices and time to 'date', but am quickly coming to the conclusion that the best women are (understandably) taken already. >.

In all honestly though, I dont think its worth the hassle.
Oh its lovely, at times, to have someone to share your life with, but feckng eck, the HASSLE, and EFFORT and just, well its nice not having to argue, about the simplest things, but maybe that was just xp.
I keep seeing old couples in supermarkets taking 3 minutes to decide what brand of soup they are having...........fucking hell. GET THE SOUP YOU WANT and move on.

biking......sudden flat tyre at front, on a bend, put hand out against drystone wall( Derbyshire so it had to be!!), and it ripped my hand off, as it were. Lost all skin on finger tips as well.

It was extrememly painful at the time. The finger that was diclocated (middle) had to be put back a.s.a.p. though it was also broken. Now that DID hurt.[brave little soldier emocion]
