just wondering if this has been done before...

I have 2 Dcs (2 & 5) and am bringing them up by myself (H allowed to have phone contact only due to his fuck wittery {I love that phrase Blush Grin})

Sometimes its soooo hard doing it by myself Sad

DS had parents evening today and although his comments from teachers were fab most all of the other parents were couples.

Sometimes it hits me that I have to do everything myself Sad

can I join??? Its the hardest job in the world being a single parent with no let up

Hi 'takenforgranted' .. r u ok?? I saw your message and you seemed pretty fed up :(

Been having a very fed up week here.. the straw that broke the back, was falling over DD's kitten tonight and hitting my arm on the corner of the wall, and thinking I'd broken kitten's leg after stomping on it when I fell over.. and I burst into tears :(

Still I thought, get a grip, you're all ready to go out, a rare trip out after dark, when friend cancelled. So here I am in the world of single mums stuck indoors.

Don't know where this posting will appear in this thread, but didn't want it to pop up in the middle of the already established chat going on, but sorry in advance, if it does.

Hi shriek welcome to our group Grin

It always sems tobe the little things that topple us over the edge after coping with the bigger day to day things iyswim.

Last wk I had major melt down over not being able to lock my back door Blush

Todays melt down (although muted Grin) was over clearing up poo

Have been potty training DD all day and at one point she pooed & walked so poo over my nice clean floor...then as its rubbish day tomorrow I had to clean out kittens litter trays so yet more poo

OP posts:
Shriek · 17/02/2011 23:03

thanks. Yes. always. I needed to spring a leak really, it had been brewing, but now stuck in (boo hoo)

Constantly clearing poo too, but DD old enough that its not her, just the puppy, kitten, and some. One cat, who doesn't like to pee in the litter tray, has just weed in the puppy's bowl again, and she's not keen frankly. It is getting more than a little tiresome

Shriek · 17/02/2011 23:06

my DD was fab at potty training, (halo :) ) so easy; knew she wanted to go, even tried to take herself bless her, and then (remembering one particular incident), the poo ran down her leg all over my friends carpet as she climbed her stairs! :( Shock

simpson · 17/02/2011 23:07

sorry you missed out on going out Sad

I don't get to go out much maybe once every 6wks (saddo) so I would be gutted Sad

And joy of joys half term starts tomorrow (teacher training) yay....

OP posts:
Shriek · 17/02/2011 23:10

Shriek · 17/02/2011 23:11

and oh no, I have to move as I don't have the remote to turn the telly over. More tears

Shriek · 17/02/2011 23:12

Shriek · 17/02/2011 23:14

checked 'my diary' and established its not my time of the month either

simpson · 17/02/2011 23:17

yeah, probably seen it a little too frequently lately to have quite the same edge(of reason!) and mmmm, after becoming stuck in, have become more demanding!

Shriek · 17/02/2011 23:24

but, it is a rare treat to be sat up til this late with a glass of wine, childless for the night (although with strings attached)

simpson · 17/02/2011 23:25

sounds like heaven especially with a takeaway Grin

yes it would be indeed, if week hadn't gone so pear shaped.

when you said you make it out every 6 weeks (OMG that is a loooong time! so not since Xmas!) I thought back to the last time I did. Yep, Xmas was it. Too much pressure on one night out.

simpson · 17/02/2011 23:37

Last time I went out was NY and will be out again on 26th Feb.

Bloody cats have just been out all day and I have just let them in and they have run straight to clean litter tray grrrr....

OP posts:
Jellykat · 18/02/2011 20:32

Not again simpson, why do these bugs keep coming back ?

Any call from H yet?

simpson · 18/02/2011 22:44

Feel slightly better, went to bed at 8 and have just woken up.

Not 100% though Sad

No phone call from H or a text or anything Angry

TBH think I am going to leave it and see what happens and if he does not call next fri will hasve to have a chat to DS(5) about how sometimes daddy is not a very good daddy etc (not in a slagging off way)and emphasize who he has got in his life ie my brothers & paents etc...

Do you think its ok for me to have that type of chat with DS or is he too young??
